I am sad I missed Cody Eakin's goal song. What goal song will we hear first: Eakins 2nd or Skinner's first?

He drank scotch whiskey all night long. Not really sure what happened after that but I hope he got home safely. He probably should have gotten an Uber.

Should NFL refs start being suspended for idiotic calls?
Jauronimo replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall
Refs are evaluated and graded every week by the NFL head office. Crews with the best scores go on to get the biggest games. Crews with poor performance do not see the post season or Super Bowl. -
Okposo is playing about 2 steps faster than previous seasons. There was a comment from Duff that the players are pushing each other to improve their conditioning and Granato said this team will be much better conditioned than in previous years. IT showed. They looked fast out there last night. Not just in individual skating but in puck movement, in transition, on the forecheck. It was a pleasure to watch compared to the young, slow, and tired team I am used to watch that fades in the second half of games. I'm not saying they will win a lot of games, but if they play with that kind of effort night in night out I'll support them.

The Edmunds Report - Week 5, Bills v. Chefs, 10/10/21
Jauronimo replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed, I thought Tyreek was a good -4 yards behind where the holding took place. He caught up to the hold not long after. -
Mario Williams. The Bills made Mario the highest paid defensive player in league history at the time and shattered the notion that free agents won't sign in Buffalo and the Bills won't pay top dollar. I think that signing went a long way into Buffalo repairing their reputation after the lean years and the Jason Peters/Wade Philips fiascos.

He blasted the refs, commissioner, NFLPA, other owners, beat reporters, select players and dropped racist, homophobic, and misogynist insults. How is he supposed to do his job now? First, hes got a lot of damage control to do in the locker room. Attracting free agents could get dicey. I'd be worried about the officiating after blasting women officiating. Those sideline and post game interviews will be a blast after what he's had to say about women covering football. And he spat in the face of Goodell and team owners, the people who run the league. If I'm Mark Davis, I'm standing by my guy to the detriment of the team out of some misguided principles concerning censorship.

Your point keeps changing as its shot down again and again. If the SpyGate tapes contained hours of Belichick rattling off his list of commissioners, owners, players, beat reporters, NFLPA leaders, and politicians that hes inviting to blow him then they just might have been fit for public consumption. Thats how you know this was personal. Goodell's MO is to protect the shield at all costs.

Rolling Stones to retire “Brown Sugar” due to racist lyrics
Jauronimo replied to Brennan Huff's topic in Off the Wall
The entirety of rock, rap, and pop is one big innuendo. -
Full blown Tourette's for both *unless* there are children around me. Then I do my very best not to teach impressionable youth new words.

Dr. Dre & Snoop Dog Racist and Misogynic behavior
Jauronimo replied to Chaos's topic in Off the Wall
Can you imagine the outrage if the NFL suddenly decided that they needed to remove acts from the halftime show because of objectionable content in old lyrics just in time for Snoop, Dre, and Kendrick after giving zero ducks for the past 55 years? -

The NFL claims they didn't release any emails, of course. Its possible the leak was within the Raiders org. Maybe Davis had second thoughts about that huge contract he offered Gruden? Interestingly enough, these emails were provided to the court in a legal action between Snyder and Bruce Allen and not all of them were completely redacted. https://www.latimes.com/sports/story/2021-10-12/nfl-jon-gruden-emails-washington-football-team -

Have you been reading the news lately? Chapelle has his own social media driven outrage to contend with right now. How big of a woman? -
Dr. Dre & Snoop Dog Racist and Misogynic behavior
Jauronimo replied to Chaos's topic in Off the Wall
Not this again. Jon Gruden was not an NFL employee. He cannot be fired by the NFL. He was not punished by the NFL. He resigned from employment with the Las Vegas Raiders. Crying hypocrisy because the NFL fired Gruden for misogynist emails but then booked Dre and Snoop for the Super Bowl is inconsistent with the facts. This is lazy whataboutism and fodder for the people who can't pass up any opportunity to gleefully cheer on the imminent demise (seriously, its happening this time...) of the NFL for going "woke". -
I have some sympathy for Gruden since I am also a terrible person with terrible friends who trade salacious messages on many topics that aren't representative of my true feelings. Gruden is collateral in a legal action between Dan Snyder and Bruce Allen and an investigation into the WFT. He never expected those messages to be seen by anyone but his friend. But those messages were made public and they compromised his ability to effectively coach the Las Vegas Raiders.

Insane Investment Into the Dline Paying Off
Jauronimo replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall
I fully expect that a high draft pick will be used next year to find a Star replacement, if theres one to be had. -
Insane Investment Into the Dline Paying Off
Jauronimo replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane did not plan on spending nearly this much draft capital and salary cap on the D line. He was afforded the opportunity to continue using a disproportionate amount of resources shoring up the shakiest unit on this team because he's been so successful in drafting, signing, and retaining talent in every other area of the team. Beane has done a tremendous job building the Buffalo Bills. I give him tons of credit for our recent success. The defense is playing lights out as a unit but that does not mean that the building of the Dline has been some master plan executed to perfection. In my opinion, addressing the defensive line has been his biggest struggle. -

A rotation is great and all, but if we had any all pros on this line I think we would find that rotation doesn't apply to superstars. Aaron Donald and Chase Young play a lot of snaps. Haven't missed a game in years but great point. The onus is on you. How many good games has he had? How many great games? If the plan was to spend day 1 and day 2 picks amassing a bunch of unspectacular rotational D lineman then the plan f@#$ing sucks. -
Insane Investment Into the Dline Paying Off
Jauronimo replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall
Harrison is a healthy scratch, Oliver's 5th year option is major ??, Epenesa has had one good game. Rousseau looks like he could be the real deal and that will make everything worth it but you could just as easily argue that we have had pedestrian returns for the amount of investment in the D line. -
Start asking a million questions. Like about every decision to be made no matter how inconsequential. When they finally say they don't care or tell you to decide you ask "are you sure? It seems like you have a very specific vision for this project". Then ask 50 more questions about what size and color the font should be. List all the options.

Unless you're playing Tua/Brissett/Mills then you blitz every down.

Some things always were racist or offensive but they existed just the same and were effectively normalized over the years because no one gave a damn what the aggrieved thought. Generations of use later and things like the Redskins and Chief Wahoo were effectively legitimized. Every decade or so the topic has been re-litigated in public forums. Now we have far less people participating in this discourse who will argue until they're blue in the face that Aunt Jemima, Frito Bandito, and Chief Wahoo are a sacred part of this nation's history and simply cannot be changed. I know many participants in this thread think everything was just peachy until woke outside agitators started calling everything raysis in the twenty aught tens but the fact is this issue with Redskins is well documented back in the 1970s. It 50 years to gain any real traction.
