  1. Tell that to Rex Ryan. Did you watch the last 4 games against the Jets? I'm all for a guy who appears to be the 2nd coming of Derrick Thomas, however posters are right in asking how can he dramatically improve our run d? Dareus would be a much better pick at this conjucture.
  2. You mean Schefter, Mort, Timmy Graham, and Ralph's bingo friends in Grosse Pointe.
  3. If Von Miller is where you are going I will agree with you the kid shouldn't be looked over based upon weight
  4. Why so serious? Did you read that article you posted? The article says 4.6 and Jerry Rice says he ran 4.5 in it. Either way click the link I attached in the earlier thread that puts Rice around a 4.6. Corners are important, however I contend I'd rather have a great receiver than a great corner. See Jerry's Wiki page for his dominance over Deion "Prime-Time" Sanders. Let's be honest my humble friend we all know you are intellectually superior than me.
  5. have you been tokin and smoking with mcconaughey? If so pass the doobie.
  6. Let's get your facts straight bud, Rice ran a 4.60 40 and his draft stock did fall some because of it, but mainly because was from a "small" school and went against lesser competition. Coincidentally Rice's story is similar to another future HOFer the 49ers gambled on Terrell Owens from Chattanooga, who was coached and recruited by Buddy Nix http://sports.espn.go.com/espnmag/story?section=magazine&id=3631062&campaign=rsssrch&source=draft. Additionally I'm not going to let you get away with saying that their are more corners in the HOF then receivers when you are including Safeties into the conversation of Corners vs. Receivers. Not counting the 2011 class the count is 31 to 21. You must not know too much about football, the Flanker position from the 50s and the End position of the 30s & 40s were receivers. Frank Gifford was a great Flanker had 3609 rushing & 5434 receiving. Elroy Hirsch 7029 receiving 687 rushing. Charley Taylor 9110 receiving 1488 rushing. Now let's throw in the old End position from 1930s & 1940s, Wayne Millner 1578 receiving & 62 rushing. Pete Pihos 5619 receiving & -4 rushing. Tom Fears 5397 receiving & 15 yards rushing. Dante Lavelli 6488 receiving & 23 receiving. Raymond Berry 9275 receiving & 0 rushing. If you want the list I'll gladly post it for you...
  7. Don't be dumb, bring something to the table. Answer the question, what would Mr. Rice have done?
  8. If Bruce Smith had to endure today's constant media attention he may might not have been the number 1 pick, but that said he was the most dominant DE coming out of college. Look at the '85 draft and see how top heavy the defensive front 7 was in the first 10 picks. James Harrison is an abberation in today's NFL coming from a mid-major school as an undrafted rookie. John Randle is the last unrfa to make the HOF. The point I was trying to make here is that Bruce was arguably the best DE at his position & Jerry Rice was at WR. Almost 50% of all HOFers are 1st round draft picks. Why waste a draft pick on a guy at a non-impact position ie: Derrick Burroughs when you got the #1 rated WR on your board?
  9. This from a guy whose posted 65 times in 7 years.....Use your imagination, what would this have meant to our team? Do you think we would have one at least 1 Super Bowl.
  10. 1st overall pick Bills select Bruce Smith DE Virginia Tech...14th pick overall (from Green Bay) Bills select Jerry Rice WR Mississippi Valley State.....Bills get Bruce, Jerry & Andre in the same draft. Bills go on to win Super Bowl 23 after going 16-3, SB 24 17-2, SB 25 19-0 Beat Giants 61-3 and Belichick gets fired and goes on to a career flipping burgers, SB 26 16-3, SB 27 15-4, SB 28 15-4, SB 30 16-3, SB 31 15-4, SB 34 15-4. Reality...14th pick Bills select Derrick Burroughs CB Memphis Point to be learned here is it's all about what have players dome already? I don't care about "potential". Guys who make it to the HOF have that "it" factor today, not tomorrow. What guys have HOF potential in '11 at #3?
  11. ...the Bills will draft AJ Green if he's available at #3.
  12. It helps when you draft #1 overall. Bottom-line is the higher you draft the higher probability you have of knocking the pick out of the fing park!
  13. Was doing some geek research on every Hall of Famer and where they were drafted. Keep in mind there are presently 203 Hall of Famers not counting the 2011 Class. Of those 203 there are 94 First Round Picks in the HOF. It doesn't take a genius to realize that the #1 pick has the highest percentage of Hall of Famers. Overall Total # of Players % of Total Cumulative % 1 16 17.02% 17.02% 2 10 10.64% 27.66% 3 9 9.57% 37.23% 4 9 9.57% 46.81% 5 7 7.45% 54.26% 6 10 10.64% 64.89% 7 1 1.06% 65.96% 8 4 4.26% 70.21% 9 3 3.19% 73.40% 10 2 2.13% 75.53% 11 5 5.32% 80.85% 12 1 1.06% 81.91% 13 3 3.19% 85.11% 14 1 1.06% 86.17% 15 1 1.06% 87.23% 16 1 1.06% 88.30% 17 2 2.13% 90.43% 18 1 1.06% 91.49% 19 2 2.13% 93.62% 20 1 1.06% 94.68% 21 1 1.06% 95.74% 23 1 1.06% 96.81% 26 1 1.06% 97.87% 27 1 1.06% 98.94% 28 1 1.06% 100.00% 94
  14. Compared to guys with big arms; Mallett or Newton, Gabbert has no major character concerns. As compared with guys with good character: Ponder, Locker, Dalton, Gabbert has better size & atheleticism 6'5'' runs a 4.65 40. Gabbert reminds me of a more atheltic version of Drew Bledsoe. The big question mark is how much of a leader is he and how committed to being the best is this guy? Since Gabbert's stats don't jump off the screen the first reaction is to think he sucks, but upon further review the guy can play. He is probably somewhere between Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco. I personally think he'll be a good pro. That said, I think Fitzpatrick can win for the next 4 to 6 years. We can always draft a QB in 2012 if Fitz implodes. I want Marcel Dareus and would settle on Von Miller. But if we were to knab Gabbert I think he is the safest QB in the draft. 2 surprise picks I'd be fine with: AJ Green, Patrick Peterson - the best players in the draft with HOF caliber talent.
  15. Wonder why CB takes time out of his day to report this? http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2011/04/21/de-quinn-with-a-bills-tie/
  16. Did you mean momma? When I'm in Buffalo I'll gladly meet up with you at Big Tree.
  17. Ricky Stanzi or Craig McElroy could be one of guys you're talking about. I really am impressed with McElroy I like his leadership and intelligence, guy reminds me of Fitz. What do you want them to do with the 1st round pick?
  18. Provided they play a full 16 games I'd say you're on the money.
  19. Where does your mom live? and you are?
  20. I'm 6'4'' 251 and I bench 325. How much $ do you want to put down?
