Yeah Moulson was lucky on both of those. If you swap goalies we probably lose that game 4 - 1. A lot of it is on the coach. We had 5 days of rest and were playing a team on 0 days rest, and it looked like it through 2 periods. You heard the boos raining down at the end of the 2nd -- everyone knew they weren't going to lay down at home in the last period. And we just rolled over and got outshot 19-5 in that 3rd period. Really has nothing to do with missing star players, and a lot to do with having no heart. Thanks to Nilsson, we still probably win that game if Kulikov doesn't act like an idiot. But we won't sniff the playoffs if the team keeps taking 20 minutes off like yesterday, and that's on Disco Dan.

I think availability is a major issue, and that's my point. I don't count a #1 WR acting as a decoy for a month as "available." Is he technically on the field? Sure, but that's a bit disingenuous.

How many games has he actually been healthy for though? Remember the month of November 2014 when we needed him for a wildcard push? He went invisible, tallying something like 12 catches and 100 yards for the entire month. The rallying cry around here was "He's hurt!! He's injured! He's still a great decoy!!" That's just one example. I'd take a guess and say for ~40% of his games there's been some nagging injury that's slowed him down, and it doesn't look like that percentage is going to get any better this year.
