I cannot argue why Dareus was traded. My comment was if McBeane had drafted him he could and should be accountable for his success. Because he inherited him his stake was less.. next question might be ? Would McD have drafted him ? and would he and Beane been able to keep him in line ? i think no to the second question and a likely no to the first. It was the right thing to do as you mention, moving on No question I am just a fan whos watches the games and follows the team. and i have no idea why Bills did not upgrade as soon as possible. was that player Dawkins ? and fate turned on that plan? : ) and yes, it has been awhile since i whiffled

Finding gems is rare quality. If Beanes scouts start hitting on them with any frequency ? Was a fun draft ! But i feel they have some more spots they wish to fill and or improve upon. I would doubt anyone will give up a second rd for this kid. A 3rd is pushing it. and he is likely not going to produce much this year, just guessing. But missing this much time with Bills already ?? I consider fourth round where you can take those risks and hope to at least get a backup or Teams player. But who are the backups to play outside if Davis or White go down for any length of time ? That's an issue worth mentioning in this discussion

Nice post from a fellow Kool aid sipper ! I do appreciate your opinions ^ Star is a darned good fit here in Buffalo. Davis is a stopgap and likely to be solid for us as Bills develop youth. Same with Ivory. Good solid player coming off a statistically down year, but great fit to round out the RBs group. I do like all these pickups. Not splash but seemingly very good fits.

I am going to suggest Bills are truly going to stay consistent in building through the draft. Its the best way to team build from a financial stand point and the best way to keep a fresh rotation of prospects up and coming. I might also guess that because they have to spend that money to comply , they will still be overly cautious about contracts for now. Why did Star L just get a huge vote of Confidence Via Front Office and Coach with that contract ? They feel he is a long term worthwhile investment. Maybe we measure Beanes FA acumen against this ? These guys want to play on a budget for good couple years is my feeling.
