Watkins: injured or just trying to leave the Bills?
87168 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I always got that feeling as well. Not exactly sure why, but I did and still do. Either way, it's hard to "want" to be with a franchise that hasn't been to the playoffs in 16 years. ...since 95 if you don't include those wild card games (which we lost), then that's 20 years -
one game turns into two. two turns into three.
-
but we have too many coaches! oh, wait. is that crusade over. damnit, I missed it. time to call home (Buffalo) and have my dad, point the computer at the tv and Skype the game ahahah! hey, it works.
-
Can't wait till that is no longer the case. I'm not even going to go with the cliche "this year will be different" ....but I will say that this year, wont be the same! Go Bills!
-
...yea. I live in Seattle now, so maybe I'm just full of resentment haha
-
I don't think a win is that improbable.

dime a dozen rbs don't tie the record for consecutive touchdowns scored in their rookie season. then go on to score 9 tds in a season, isn't dime a dozen. he was a fool yes, but can't diminish his talent.
-
true. which is why it's safe to think something else pretty serious is at play. this is a huge move for being fat, high, and suspended.

for real.

Jags to deploy no-huddle this season - bad news for Bills?

We saw what an up tempo offense, and quick release QB can do to Rex's defense this past season. -
Cardale Jones Reaction to the Bills drafting him

guess you've never heard of Steve Ballmer. also, it was never that serious. -
I can't seem to remember ANY other candidate state that Mexico is "sending us their rapists". I can't seem to recall any other candidate proposing to build a wall, and GROSSLY underestimate the cost. I don't recall any other candidate state that there should be ban on immigration... Also, I couldn't care less about Hillary. She is the same in my book, only with less rhetoric. So that was a bad comparison. so no, I don't hear what I want to hear. I hear what is said. there is a difference between lying (which is what politics are), and making FALSE and inflammatory comments regarding a specific demographic, especially when running for presidency. who wants to hear their commander and chief spew such nonsense? I just don't get how people can defend this man's comments...unless... next thing we'll know, we'll have a new Woodrow Wilson in office. Walls and segregation...ah yes. that's what they mean by "great again".
-
nah, not outraged or disappointed at all. you are free to support whom you want. i merely speak to the point that well, in terms of "losing respect" for one based upon their views or support of another individual's views is very human and is exactly what you would expect in a democracy. people call it "hating" or say "that's what's wrong with america", when indeed that's exactly what's right with america haha. freedom to decide, feel, and speak. to stifle one's opinions and label them as a "hater" or this or that is silly.
-
not necessarily. in this case this man has said some pretty powerfully ridiculous things. things that quite honestly, i find less than desirable for a president to say. whether in office, or in the running. so yea if a person is supporting of those kinds of views, then yea, you've lost my respect. people seem to forget that he's said some pretty inflammatory things. maybe since they are NOT pointed toward your demographic it doesn't seem like a big deal, but it is. and if you want to talk hate...well, look at trump's views and comments centered around certain minorities. there's your hate.

Yet, it was NEVER implemented the way it was here, in North America. in previous civilizations, slaves were often considered family, just a lower "caste". In NO, and I mean NO other civilization, were slaves treated the way they were here in America (centuries of enslavement, and lingering effects). Completely different interpretations of enslavement. That's history, Not opinion. Not a theory. Once again, we feel as though we have the right to tell people, of a completely different demographic, what should and should not offend them. Stunning, and arrogant. I am not referring to you Barbarian. Just making for debate.

Patriots want Mario Williams
87168 replied to buffalobillsfootball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In my honest opinion, refusing to try. Hitting the wall is not a direct reflection of one's morale or disposition. Listen, I'm not defending Mario. His refusal is only impacting the team negatively. I'm definitely not rallying to keep him, but you simply can not say this guy is physically done. Mentally is he checked out, so bye. It'll just be another case of an ex-Bill going to more a functional coaching staff, and displaying their talents there...or making the playoffs. -

It was more than a few. Also, Mario stopped trying. It was evident. Compare last season to this season, and you can even see a change in body language. Player's don't have huge drop offs in their performance like Mario did, unless they are coming back from a big injury, and he is not. Mario's play is a reflection of him not caring for Rex, or his scheme. He will go elsewhere and do what he is designed to do...and that's RUSH the passer. No intelligent coach would ever ask players like Dareus and Mario to drop into coverage. It's not their skill set. I don't agree with Mario's approach to Rex's pathetic scheme, but you can not say this man has "hit the wall". -
Sully embarrasses himself at the Super Bowl

Not quite. Cam was referring how he's perceived for his actions. This guy is talking about an OLD stereotype. .very different and unwarranted. -

History Repeats Itself -- and it's confusing
87168 replied to Vinaccia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
a 4-3 ran by one DC may differ from a 4-3 ran by another. it has less to do with the scheme's label and more with execution. as we saw throughout this entire season, their execution was poor. this was even pointed out by Brown. -
we don't "know" them on camera either. nor anything else that happens behind closed doors. people are people regardless of profession, and some have serious flaws.

Anybody know what Doug Whaley studied in college?
87168 replied to 3cheesenacho's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
hm, yea. must be. my fiance whom is a Clinical Psychologist and works in Autism Research (at a university here in Seattle) will say otherwise, as well as my relative that works in HR for the largest software company on earth. anyone can take a closer look at what it takes to get into college, versus what it took in the 80's or 90's, and see the emphasis has shifted. my fiance applied for the same grad school of her choice and got rejected. Her GPA is a 3.9 from UB. Psych degree. She was told she needed more CLINICAL EXPERIENCE. she went out and got it, while interning at The Jacobs Institute in the BNMC. Next attempt, she gets in. Once she was in grad school, she realized that without that experience she would have been LOST in terms of implementation. keep in mind this was something that she couldn't do during her undergrad phase. again, it is no longer advantageous for companies to look at GPA as the main tool for hiring. It shows one thing and one thing only. but then again, different fields... -

must be a small business. grad school attendees and post grad school students, well, GPA literally means nothing. companies in general are starting to look for at the completion of the program, rather than where you finished. that's just fact. it's a societal shift. in regards to the bold text, studies show that GPA is NOTHING more than an indicator of how well an individual can retain new information. it is NOT an indicator of motivation, nor intelligence. GPA has never been an indicator of intelligence, and it is definitely NOT an indicator of how well someone will PERFORM or impact a business. that's very outdated thinking, that's often ridiculed by modern business and HR models. haha very very dated thinking. same could be said for athletes. just because you performed better than some in college, and got drafted first round, does not guarantee success at the next level. retaining information, which is all a GPA reflects, doesn't show adaptability, people skills, DRIVE, or work ethic. It's simply a number. Using this method of hiring or judgment in most cases, will land you employees that look good on paper, and nothing more. -
That "little jobs" comment must have hit nerve. Hm, funny. The irony is so apparent. The bold text are all grammatical errors. Glass houses. GO BILLS
