Once again, we go back and hand off 3 yards behind the line of scrimmage to try and get 1 yard. Our line gets smashed backwards and its 4th down AGAIN. -

Singletary has a trifecta of ineptitude, hardly any yards, a drop and a fumble. -

No spy on Jackson , stupid -
The syrupy feel good love in for the Dolphins coach last night on the TV broadcast was beyond ridiculous. Why are we constantly subjected to these types of feel good cheesy stories throughout national games?. They played that clip of Mc Daniel talking to Tua on the phone as some glowing example of how much he cares about him. Almost like he would never expose a player to a serious injury to just win a football game. Then as if on cue, Tua is badly injured afterwards on what looked like an innocuous hit (by NFL standards) which seems like a very large coincidence. Instead of really talking about it in a critical way Michaels and his co host just brushed it off as an unfortunate circumstance that seemed to come out of nowhere?!

Bengals could still blow this easily. No coverage on Hill and a mediocre pass rush on Bridgewater.
-
Good eye on that!

Tua had some weird finger movement as he lay on the ground there. what was that about?

Oh Oh Tua got smushed

curse of the butt punt--it likely saved Miami
Livinginthepast replied to tbonehawaii's topic in The Stadium Wall
When I watched it again, I couldnt believe how far back the Miami player whose butt blocked the punt was. If he taken just one more step back, the ball would have hit him under his butt and bounced down into the endzone. Bills could have covered it for a TD. In addition, had the Dolphin player been slightly further forward the ball would have been partially blocked and gone forward and only come out of the endzone maybe to the 20, which once again puts the Bills in an excellent position to win with a short field. All told the Bills didnt get any breaks in that game. -
It looked like the last play was a completely broken play anyway. Under the circumstances Josh should have thrown it away. Tossing to the centre of the field to McKenzie and making something out of nothing, is a great quality that Josh has but not in that situation with so little time left. McKenzie for his part needs to drop the pass on purpose or just get down right away where he catches it. Unfortunately a bone headed play for all involved.

The NFL needs to be a little but more concerned with not just safe conditions but conditions that are conducive to a good product. The game despite its high temps was decent but it would have been better played at 7pm. They should have the ability to flex games to the nights for extreme temperatures. Yesterday was a prime example. But getting the NFL to reconsider these things is like getting a constitutional amendment.

63 Passes and not a single hold or PI???
Livinginthepast replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Officials were their usual mediocre to inept selves in this game. Nothing new. The Bills will always have to be comfortably up to win games and account for the bad calls they will inevitably get. Yesterday was the perfect storm of inept officiating and countless unforced errors. -
The Allen fumble was pretty definitive. Ball was slapped out before the throw. The Davis one was closer but unfortunately not a catch. I'm still not sure how Davis drops that because the defender is on the other side of the ball!

A Few Thoughts About the Dolphins Game, in no particular order
Livinginthepast replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
My one take on the game? It never ceases to amaze me how after 43 years of watching them on the TV or in person, that the Bills can still transform me from a rational adult back to the an angry expletive ranting teenager with an excruciating performance. I fooled myself that this season would have none of that, especially after the first two weeks but with this team it seems it that my descent into the cauldron of rage is never far away! Next week cant come soon enough! Go Bills! -
I think he called a decent game overall but at key moments over and over the Bills couldnt get it done. The Josh bounce pass on the 2nd last series and Mckenzie stupidly not going down right away on the last play must have made him livid. As others are saying McD needs a bit more of this type of anger in dealing with the refs and their incompetent officiating. I liked Dorsey showing his disgust, I felt the same way!

Poor coaching by McDermott is becoming a theme
Livinginthepast replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
McD can definitely win a SB with this team but they can only do it in a blowout game. Less than a TD apart on the score line and they are toast. -
The Davis TD was very similar to Lee Evans on the Ravens TD drop vs the Pats in the playoffs. Catch , 2 feet then ball comes out. He has to hold that ball! Milano's was unforgivable but he is probably playing injured as well.
