Sammy is out. Salas is out. Goodwin is fast and small. Woodsy is great but small. It appeared that Clay was spread out wide on several plays last game. In fact, I think our offense operates better when the defense is spread out more. Clay has the height, size, strength (note I didn't say speed) to be a great possession receiver (comparable to a modern day Frank Lewis or John Stallworth). Yeah he might be a good blocker, but we have two new TE's and a shortage of sizable WR's. Maybe he is slowly becoming a Gronk/Jimmy GRaham type TE...spreading him out more. I'd rather let him stay outside or slot full time.

Thanks Woody. Just to be clear...the Appletv thingy doesn't require my Samsung tv to be hooked up to cable, wifi, internet, satellite, etc. All the Appletv requires is use of my iPhone data? Like I said, I'm out in the middle of nowhere (our camp)

Rather than start a new thread, my problem has to do with Smart TV's as well (or so I've been told): I have Directv and NFL Sunday Ticket. My cell phone is AT&T. It is an iPhone 5s. When I signed up for my Directv renewal, I told the customer service rep I wanted to be able to watch games at other locations where there was no internet or satellite tv. In other words, I wanted to be able to watch Bills games out in the middle of the woods if I wanted to. She said "Oh, that's not a problem...you can watch the games on your phone and it doesn't require internet. It will use data." I also told her I may want to "mirror" the game from my phone onto a tv (once again, where there is no internet or satellite). She said all you need is an HDMI cable adapter and you can mirror the Bills games from your phone onto the tv via the HDMI cable (HDMI goes into adapter, HDMI adapter plugs into iPhone and other end of HDMI goes into the TV HDMI port). I have tried a couple times just with live TV (like a Saturday ESPN college game) and it projects the audio but no video. Then, just to make sure my phone wasn't all screwed up, I tried to mirror Netflix shows on the TV and there was no problem. So it appears Directv either has some restriction on "mirroring" NFL or live tv from a phone via the Directv app onto a Samsung tv (about 5 years old) or I am doing something wrong. The Directv person suggested I go buy a "smart tv"...I don't want to buy a Smart TV if that isn't the problem. It would seem I should be able to mirror live tv (and NFL ticket games) to my existing tv. Any suggestions? Does a Smart TV really offer some other technology that would allow the mirroring of a live football game from my iPhone?

Week 5 Predictions: Bills at Rams
BringBackFergy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rams have a tough D and knowing our history, we can't win more than two in a row. Same old Bills. 28-13 Rams -
What's in it for me?

Yep...I was debating between Gurley and Elliot and went with the known commodity. Wrong choice. -

Which would explain why I drafted him second overall in my fantasy draft. Knowing my luck I'll drop him and he'll turn in a killer performance.....after our game this week. LOL. You too huh?? -

If a clown pulls a handgun on me and I shoot him with my Glock, what happens if they look at his gun afterward and find out the only ammo in his gun is a rolled up cloth that says "BANG"? Justified right? -

Zach Brown: Bills best player 2016
BringBackFergy replied to NewEra's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great thread guys. Z. Brown is turning in to a role player. Really nice to see this in our linebacker group. -
I may never watch a Bills game again.

Nice "insider" opinion. Good to have someone who actually knows this team. Hoping Rex and company have a solid plan. -
Not over analyzing anything. Also not looking at this negatively at all. Maybe I'm the only one who listened to him repeat this same comment three times ("They were missing a player and we brought our team" or something like that). He used the exact same words three times and it was a message to the national media ("We have a team that doesn't rely on any one person") Sorry you feel this way...this thread was not meant to denigrate or criticize Rex...in fact, it was complimentary.

Great topic Cuga - I did a thesis project on Hitchcock, so "Psycho" is just an amazing film from a director's standpoint, cinematography and plot. Edge of your seat (did you know the blood in the shower was really chocolate sauce?) Honorable mention: Exorcist The Shining

But according to the "experts", the Pats could win with a jugs machine in the backfield....It's BB's system that allows for wins. So, in the end, even though everyone picked the Pats to win, they still have the "No Tom Brady" excuse to fall back on. Buffalo won as a team (without players deemed essential for success) and that's what Rex was getting at (IMO)

You feelin' ok?
-
I guess the point of this thread is that Rex made a pretty important point in a backhanded sort of way. The national media hasn't really picked up on it (i.e. the Pats were down by one player but we brought our "team"). I'd like to see some of the national media take a step back and say "Ohhhhh, I see what he did there"...but they won't.

Yes. And if we run it 2-3 times per game, opponents have to prepare for it, respond to it, align their defense accordingly thinking it is a run. The game at home vs. the Pats may be the perfect time to pass the ball from the wildcat.
