  1. What will you think about this team if they win the next two "winnable" games and then split with the Pats*** and Seahawks to hit the bye at 6-3? If they go into the bye week 5-4 instead?
  2. I don't know, but I just waded through five pages of a lot of updates on other stuff. If SF has a shaky QB situation, isn't in their best interest to Belichick the situation and keep things vague as long as possible? Wouldn't that make it slightly harder for the Bills' D to game plan? 'Course, if the game plan is "blitz the F out of whatever schmuck is back there," then we're going to be fine.
  3. Let's start by going 1-0 vs. the 49ers at The Cap.
  4. Per Rodak tweet: Per the Associated Press, Bills safety Robert Blanton has been fined $21,000, CB Nickell Robey-Coleman has been fined $10,000 and safety Aaron Williams has been fined an undisclosed amount for their role in a pregame fight Sunday in New England.
  5. Thanks, Hapless, for bringing fact into the discussion. And kudos to Dareus for publicly acknowledging the diagnosis. There is a lot of misinformation about ADHD--most people think it's a bunch of hyper kids bouncing off of walls or phony diagnoses that are used to make excuses for people acting like a-holes. Fact is, it is a serious condition for children and adults. A common aspect of the condition is a problem with impulse control (see: weed when you know you're going to be tested, crashing into trees, synthetic weed, etc.). The individual knows that something is not good for him/not allowed, but does it anyway. As the father of two pre-teen boys with ADD, I can tell you that they are (a) not on Ritalin or Adderal, but on another med and (b) still have to manage their impulse control even when on the medication. Describing it as "bringing them up where they should be" is spot on. It doesn't fix the problem or make it go away. It just provides a bit more focus so that the individual can make better decisions. The fact that Dareus has hired a life coach and Bruce Smith to give him a focal point makes perfect sense to me. They will be focal points for him in the off hours when he's not busting heads on the field. My boys, left to their own devices, will spend every waking hour on video games. I know all kids do that, but these guys will do it for hours to the exclusion of eating, sleeping, etc. It is possible that if Dareus finds himself with free time, his impulse might be to fire up a doob. I hope, for his sake and his team's sake, that this diagnosis and treatment brings him a bit more focus.
  6. Whoops--that's why it seemed like I was short a game! I agree...1-0 this week. Then on to the next. Repeat.
  7. Nice jump. If the Bills behave like a playoff team and win the games they are supposed to win (see: LA Rams, road-version 49ers), they might crack the top 10 with a 4-2 record heading into the NE game at the Cap. If they take LA lightly and lose, then we're back to "sky-is-falling-rex-sucks-rob-sucks-whaley-sucks" talk. The fact that they've shown up for work on an off-day suggests that some of the younger guys want a sniff at the playoffs before they get injured/traded. I'm a 50-year fan whose been down this road with a lot of you many, many times before. LA first, then we'll see what happens. GO BILLS! #billieve
  8. Visiting Boston area for my son's college family weekend. We're heading into Boston to watch the game with the Bills Backers of Boston at The Harp.
  9. ^^^This. Despite what Tommy*** says about "playing another 10 years," and eating his "non-inflammatory diet," time catches up. And that's when some 24-year-old beast who's half a second faster than him is going to level a devastating, legal hit on his ass. The decline, and the retirement, will come quickly after that.
  10. A brilliant, insightful comment like that makes me wonder where you're from, genius.
  11. It's the Bickering Bills II, baby. AFC Championships next year! WOOOOO! Seriously...Go Bills!!
  12. All of the Bills fan angst aside, keep in mind that Maybin's story is one that is repeated hundreds of times each year. The reason that you hear about Aaron Maybin is because he is a former first round pick. All of the other guys who are barely sticking to practice squads all over the NFL will be on the street in a year or two, and you'll never hear their stories. I hope that they got a degree (or go and get one) and that they haven't sustained yet-undiagnosed head injuries that will have them working at Wal-Mart for the rest of their lives. Forget Maybin-the-first-round-Bills-bust, and focus on the fact that here's a guy who's dreams were crushed by his own doing (either attitude or lack of talent) and he has to live with that. If he's found something that makes him feel fulfilled, more power to him.
  13. So what type of batteries keep a supposed NFL-quality QB from staring down his receiver to the extent that defenders grab an easy pick-6? You might want to get to Sam's Club and grab an econo-pak of those. This is such a ticky-tack issue for the Bills to bring up after our QB imploded and a terrible team beat us. It's like a Little Leaguer complaining about the condition of the basepaths after his team gets beat 12-0.
  14. Here's the calculation for me: Wildcard > 9-7 > 15 years of futility. Maybe if we sweep the Jets and Phins, split with the Pats***, and take care of business in our other games, we nail down an 11-5 and a wildcard. Maybe that's the first step to regaining dominance in the East. Not sure how we go from crap to AFC East champs in one season with the Pats*** as dominant as they are. I don't care how much we pay the D line or who the HC is.
  15. FTW http://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/2015/09/19/patriots-set-begin-revenge-tour/ETzfv4figMunCrLeD9tTcL/story.html I was sober. F you. ; ) --OP
  16. "Itll be the usual belligerent, vulgar Buffalo Bills-type fans, doing what they do best, says Bucky Gleason, a Buffalo native and longtime columnist for the Buffalo News. The difference this year is that they actually think they can win. Hating Brady is a sport around here. Its like a third franchise. This is the most anticipated game here since 2004." Really, Gleason? Belligerent and vulgar? At least people around here believe in something, instead of being a spineless Sullivan wanna-be like you. Nobody is asking you to be a homer, but was it really necessary to say that? Too bad you hide in the press box--I'm sure more than a couple "vulgar" fans would love the opportunity to set the record straight. Hack.
  17. I wrote this haiku to kill the excessive time from now to Sunday
