  1. Fields tortured me when he was in HS when decomitted from Penn State He tortured me in college as he twice throttled the PSU defense May as well keep torturing me as a pro! (I'm a huge Fields fan though, love him as a prospect)
  2. Broncos have too much talent on offense to waste away with Teddy bridgewater and Drew Lock. Sutton, Jeudy, KJ Hamler, Noah Fant and Melvin Gordon is legit potential. If Fields is there at 9, they'd be insane not to take him
  3. You gotta separate your RBs - Change of pace backs/specialty (4th and lower) - Dudes who can get you 1100 - 1400 on a 17 game schedule, and operate in a 4 minute offense (2nd-3rd) - Dobbins, Cam, Taylor - legit 3 down backs (1st - 2nd) - Swift, CEH - game plan backs. Guys who are such weapons that they're either your first or 2nd choice (1st round) and force defenses to adjust their defenses to contain them - SaQuon, McCaffery, Dalvin Cook ETN is interesting because some might see him in that top echelon, and others the 2nd echelon
  4. Trade or Cut Mario Addison - $4M Convert $10M of diggs salary to Bonus - 7.5M Convert $6M of Dawkins' salary to Bonus - 4.5M Salary Cap savings - 16M And so on and so forth. Also, Julio has an out year after 22 of a 7.75M Cap hit, if you're worried about Allen.
  5. We'd have to send someone like Addison back the other way, and convert salary to signing bonus, but I think it could be done - if it's worth the player you're trading for
  6. this move means the Bills wouldn’t need any offensive player in this draft other than a TE prospect and OL depth, and upgrade the Bills to the best offense in the league. Julio as your #2 weapon is absurd in this offense
  7. Ike Boettger is a lot of things, but good Run Blocker ain't one of them and neither is Mitch Morse really. Getting a healty, and more experienced Cody Ford at RG is pretty big
  8. When I think of game-planning, I think of the slot WR as a position to free up your weapons, or take advantage of when your weapons are getting over defended. The way I'd go about is: Given: A slot WR who hurts defenses when given space RBs who are good enough when defenses don't lock into the run #1 - Diggs #2 - TE or X WR #3 - Slot/RB I think Beasley gets so much work because the Bills don't have that viable #2 weapon, and because Diggs is so good he can open up space for Cole to exploit. I think if the Bills could fill that #2 slot with a legit 1st round weapon, it makes the offense a whole lot better. Whether that's because Safeties and backers have to a step more towards/into the box because they fear ETN could get loose into the 2nd level even against 7-8 man fronts, or it's because the opposing coverage can't safely slant coverage towards Diggs without fear of getting burnt on the weakside...that's what you're looking for. Creating space and potential for your #1 weapon, with a real #2 weapon.
  9. Not at all. You don't draft a RB in the rd thinking he's gonna be pro-bowl back - you do it because you think that RB is gonna be a good complement to the game plan, rather than a focal point. Moss and Singletary - with better blocking - would have perfectly fulfilled that role. You draft a RB in the 1st round because you view that guy as someone who's going to be one of your top 2 weapons to use in your game plan. That's why drafting ETN is legit. The Bills, for all their fireworks, don't have a great #2 weapon right now. Emmanuel Sanders is a risk because of age, while Gabe Davis is a risk because you're not sure what you'll get with him in year 2, while neither RB - as noted above - is there to be a real weapon. I'm not sure about trading up to get a RB as a position in general, but I do agree with trading up to grab a legit weapon. Whether that be ETN (because of his ability to change the game as a pass catcher) or that kid from Florida or perhaps even Rashod Bateman. You could also see a corner if you see Farley or Newsom sitting there. Not gonna trade up for these edge defenders
  10. There's got to be a testing protocol for those under 16. Otherwise that's a huge impact on families.
  11. That's a fair point with regards to the children. If that doesn't become available till late summer or something, you can't really say they've had access, and it would be fair to request either a vaccine or test if that were the case With regards to efficacy, all 3 of the vaccines are 100% effective in preventing even hospitalization, much less death - and I should note that I'm perfectly ok with organizations asking people to mask when using their facilities. As for my empathy comment, that was specifically targeted to those people who have access to the vaccine, and refuse to take it. I certainly have a ton of empathy for those who can not access a vaccine, and would do my best to protect them. That's why even though I'll be vaccinated by mid April, I plan on masking and social distancing in public through the rest of the year.
  12. Since we're down this rathole, I'm not sure this is at all necessary. I think the only business that would need a vaccination are flights - domestic or international, and that's because you don't know where people are coming from before they get on a plane, and you're messing around with variants from around the world. We don't need to ADD to the at risk population. What's the purpose of requiring vaccination proof to get into a stadium? Who are we protecting? People who refuse to get a vaccine? My leading identifier is that of empathy. I believe empathy to be the most powerful force on Earth. I don't have empathy for those who choose not to get vaccinated. I hold no ill will towards them as they have free will on whether or not to get vaccinated, but I don't have empathy for them if they refuse to get vaccinated, and then get sick. After the year we as a society, and me personally, have been through, I just can't. If you want to walk into a stadium unvaccinated, be it on your own head. Btw, this is also why I'm fully supportive of Josh Allen. He doesn't want to get a vaccine, and at this point that's not something that will harm society, The man followed all COVID protocols and masked etc, that's all we can ask of him. Let him make his own choice based on his own beliefs. But at the same time that choice shouldn't inform decisions on community activities.
  13. I think what the Rangers are allowing is batcrap crazy and wildly irresponsible. The vaccine hasn't remotely gotten enough chance to get to enough people. This is all about risk to the community. Without accesible vaccine, big gathering are a huge, unneccesary, risk. With vaccine coverage, the risk to the community is mostly gone. If I'm vaccinated, and my family and loved ones are vaccinated. What do I care if you are or aren't vaccinated? Then it really is down to personal choice. You're not a risk to me and mine whether or not you have COVID. In Sept/October, I would hope all sports in the US have full crowds.
  14. Heres the thing, by Sept everyone in America will have had an opportunity to get the vaccine, and if they haven't we'd know about it. By that point, if you're not protected, that's on you. What the Rangers are doing NOW is crazy, but if they waited till Sept? No problems
  15. Until the Bills get a 2nd viable TE, and they barely have 1, that's a moot point. Getting Friermuth would enable that, but hoping for one particular player in a draft isn't a great strategy. The way the Bills loaded up on WRs, my feeling is they'll continue to go 11 and 10 personnel, and look the either EDGE or Corner in the draft
  16. Been a Bills fan for about 35 years now. Wilikens has a grade of almost 70 from pff. He's a pretty good player, and still young. As for Tua, I'd be fine with him as he's only started 6-7 games and is coming off a pretty serious injury. From what I've seen of him at college and here with the Dolphins, there's definitely something there to work with, which is all you want to see from a Rookie. I still think he's got Jared Goff potential. I'm not GUARANTEEING that the Dolphins are a future Juggernaught...just that they have a pathway there
  17. Right, but that;s why I said 2-3 years. As for their recent picks: 2020: 1st - Tua - looks he can be the guy, potentially 1st - Austin Jackson LT. Hit in his rookie year 1st - Noah Igbinoghene CB. Stuggled some in his rookie year but shows potential 2nd - Robert Hunt RT. Solid if not spectacular, will get better 2nd - Raekwon Davis. DT. Solid, shows good potential 3rd - Brandon Jones. SF. Struggled, may not have it 4th - Solomon Kindley G. Was one of the steals of the draft 2019: 1st - Christian Wilikens . DT. Stud 3rd - Deiter. G. Not a starter, but still is a valuable depth piece for them 2018: 2nd - Mike Gesicki, TE: Stud 3rd: Jerome Baker, LB: stud To be clear, as a Bills fan - this isn't something I worry about. I have full faith that Beane will continue to put out a powerful team around Josh Allen, but it's kinda fun to see some quality competition going forward, that's not the Pats
  18. They're going to end up with a roster that's going to approach 65% being top 3 round talent. Uncle Rico could take that kind of roster to the playoffs, while Trent Dilfer would win a Super Bowl with it. Tua, if hes even just Jared Goff, will be enough to build a true power.
  19. If he's there in the 2nd round, hard to pass that up considering the lack of breakaway speed on the Bills offense
  20. 1) Next Spring, post F/A, pre draft 2) 5 years 3) 15M (His 5th year option, if he makes the Pro Bowl this year which I think he will, would be ~ 15M) 4) 50 - 60% BONUS) 10M signing Bonus, cap friendly out year in 2025 New TV Deal should massively hike up the salary cap.
  21. I actually don't think this will be as difficult of a decision as fans imagine. My guess this is pretty straight forward, and an extension gets done without much difficulty
  22. There's been literally no corroboration to Isiah Humphries story. PSU's locker room IS NOT a perfect place. Like everyone, they have some real bad eggs in there, some prima donnas, and some drug problems. My point here, is that Micah is one of the good guys. No one is that universally loved by a football program and community and still have an awful story like Isiah Humphries be true. And here's the thing, there problem is something to Humphries experience at PSU that was pretty terrible. And I'd imagine it involved a player or two, but his story on Micah just doesn't fit any other corroborative knoweldge, nor of Franklin who he claimed told him to keep it quiet or get booted from the program. That doesn't fit his style/persona. As for specifically this question, no way would I support drafting Micah. He's not THAT much better than Edmunds, and putting that much investment into LB isn't worth it IMO. Maybe if Milano had left. He's got elite potential as a pass rusher. He was a DE in HS and a 5* as a pass rusher. He just had a higher/gamer changing impact at Linebacker.
