Star is not a liability, but he is not an asset, either. He is overpaid to be a one dimensional DT, which is occupying space. Maybe that helps keep blockers off of the LB corps or allow other d-linemen to make plays...I dunno and would have to take the player's testimonials on that. i do know that Star does not blow up plays in the backfield nor does he get to the QB, and the Bills need this badly. Star is a Bill until 2022, for better or worse.

My thought is Linval Joseph is a lot better than Star. Joseph can disrupt the backfield and get to the QB, Star doesn't do that.

It was directed at the general media/punditry; some of which are on board, others are skeptical. I don't get too excited about either viewpoint as Chris Berman famously said "and that's why they play the games" Agree that teams can be tougher than their record, but those teams tend fail to finish a strong start to the game.

IIRC, Brady is on a year by year contract, nothing long term. I'm not so sure he'll play anywhere else next year; I can see him retiring a Patriot and making a ton of money during special Patriot event appearances for/with Kraft.
