  1. Ouch, that was rough. Funny, but rough.
  2. Haynesworth also had a record of dirty play. Gronk does not. Gronk deserves to be suspended as many games as Tre misses, with a one game minimum.
  3. Oh no...please say this is just coach speak, that he's not tipping his hand.
  4. Steelers are horrible against the Patriots*; Tomlin has no clue how to beat Belichick.
  5. I'm not sure I want to give Dennison another year to find out given his penchant for poorly planned games and play calls. Probably smarter to just move on from him. Tyrod and Dennison's offense mix like water and oil.
  6. "I'm only shaking your hand because I have to"
  7. That was a good call on their part. It may be a case where their scheme was a better fit for Eric Lee's strengths...a least I hope this is the case. No doubt there were obscenities shouted at Gronk. I'm sure Brady got the same treatment. But when you did something as egregious as Gronk did, you don't walk into the tunnel sticking out your tongue at the fans (moronic, drunken, or not). Just keep walking. I hope this is further evidence of his being non-contrite and it comes back to bite him.
  8. https://twitter.com/jmccoyphoto/status/937433572637593605/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc^tfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.buffalorumblings.com%2F2017%2F12%2F3%2F16731170%2Ftredavious-white-injured-on-vicious-dirty-hit-by-rob-gronkowski Yeah, he looks real contrite. Stop giving him a pass.
  9. I agree with you and not arguing your point. My point is that we don't have the quality of depth that NE does to sit our starter today without a large decline in skill. But I look forward to the day when we can do just that.
  10. Both should be gone.
  11. The also have more depth than us and can afford to sit a player for making a dumb mistake.
  12. The Steelers aren't afraid of NE, but they have no idea how to beat NE. They have not done so since 2008, I believe. Hard to think this year will be any different.
  13. Good point. Their OLine is much better than ours, no arguing that.
  14. NE got 0 points off passing, all their points were FG (9) and rushing (14). Overall, the defense did a good job getting to Brady. He was 21/30, 258 yards, 0 TD 1 INT, and a passer rating of 82.4, which is well below his career passer rating of 97.9. I don't think you're giving the DL enough credit this game; they outperformed expectations. Tyrod had a terrible game, as you pointed out. Possible the injury sustained early in Q1 had something to do with that, but this was certainly one of his worst games this year.
  15. It's really hard to feel sorry for Gronk, who does more than his fair share of pushing off down field, and getting away with it.
  16. I can see a few late hits on Brady. Take the flag.
  17. Rex BS'd all the time. "Get ready for the playoffs, 'cause we're coming" Sure Rex, not even close. McDermott is in year 1 and in process of shaping his vision, which is refreshing...a coach with a vision. Rex never had a vision, he was just fully pregnant, whatever that meant. Does McDermott make mistakes? Sure, he's a rookie HC. But he doesn't mismanage the game like Rex did. Bad challenges, a few. But at least McD is situationally aware. Getting rid of McD would set this team back even further. Out of curiosity, who would you propose as HC?
  18. There was a thread about Bradys' win in Buffalo. I wouldn't start a new one about that. We know we need help on the offense - QB, RT, RG, another receiver maybe, a new OC. Cousins is not worth what he'll want. I suspect he stays in Washington.
  19. I want a QB in the draft...we need one. I agree, I don't want it to be as expensive as the Watkins pick.
  20. Well, that's true, we were very undisciplined last year. The penalties have gone way down.
  21. Rex wasn't that aggressive, at least not while he was here; he just talked a big game. At the end of the day, Rex just wanted some kinky foot play.
  22. They're a middle of the pack team that plays with a lot of heart on defense, and lousy on offense. Bills are a team in transition. It's wait 'till next year, again.
  23. It was Brady's. He wanted it back...no questions asked.
  24. i don't like Dennison as OC, either, but today he did a much better job on the game plan and play calls. Not sure this one can be pinned on him. But there were plenty others, such as the Carolina and Cincy losses.
  25. Another helmet to the forearm on a tackle should take care of Gronk.
