  1. Just wasted two plays on runs up the middle that hasn't been working all day.
  2. The Eagles can't run the slow developing draw. Not working.
  3. The Bears gave up first-round picks in 2019 and 2020, a third-round pick in 2020 and a sixth-round pick in 2019 to acquire Mack earlier Saturday. In return, the Bears also received a second-round pick in 2020 and a conditional fifth-round pick in 2020. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/24543080/chicago-bears-reach-agreement-trade-khalil-mack-oakland-raiders
  4. The Eagles play a very vanilla front four and don't blitz much. Trubisky has had a lot of time, for the most part, and the Eagles just paid the price.
  5. Nah. I think we're good with Josh Allen, Barkley, and Anderson. TE is a position that has been a problem for a long time.
  6. Yeah, it does seem like an incomplete pass is the best result from that mess. The official by the ball was indicating incomplete pass and the play over.
  7. Yeah, I saw the replay. Sucks because all he had to do was drag his other foot.
  8. If they reverse that pick, it would be a terrible.
  9. Three Bears around one Eagles receiver. Should have thrown that one away.
  10. Participation trophies are pointless. They can prevent kids from finding what they're good at and can succeed at based on actual merits.
  11. Agreed. I would guess that the Pats D, while not great, will take advantage of Lamar Jackson's penchant to be sloppy with the football as well as his being a rookie. The Chargers (especially Phillip Rivers) choked in a big game and lost to the Ravens two weeks ago in LA. I don't think they'll beat the Ravens in Baltimore.
  12. Colts D was great. Amazing how that team turned it around in a few short years after the Grigson dark period they went through. Hopefully we're on our way to mimicking the Colts and Bears.
  13. Probably just a Rooney Rule interview. Joseph is supposed to be a defensive coach, though the Broncos defense was bad the last two years.
  14. This is definitely a possibility and I hope you are right. Frazier does need to put more pressure on the QB. If the front four isn't getting there in a straight rush, he needs to run stunts and blitz. He rarely did this. It puts way too much pressure on the DBs, who I thought did extremely well this year.
  15. Regarding Frazier, I know the stats for the defense were good, but the results seemed to prove otherwise. They weren't particular good in the red zone, we got gashed by opposing rushers, and did not get pressure on the opposing QB. It is amazing how good our defensive secondary did, though.
  16. Needed to be done, plus the run game really suffered under Castillo. Good to see McD holding his former associations accountable. I expect Crossman to go next. Hopefully Frazier is getting a fire lit under him, as well.
  17. I saw the segment on NFLN talking to Mayock about the new gig. Mayock stated that his relationship with Gruden went back to the mid to late 1990s when Gruden was OC of the Eagles, though Mayock didn't really elaborate on this. So they've known each other for roughly 20 years. Mayock just stated that the Raiders situation makes sense from both his side and Gruden's side. Reading between the lines, Gruden got his 'yes' man who he's comfortable with and will not rock the boat; I think this is exactly who Chucky wanted. Mayock gives Gruden a list of players to fill a position, Gruden makes the pick. Can't imagine it's too far off from this.
  18. Actually, I was thinking of being a future owner; once Terry's natty gas wells dry up, he's done. HCs and GMs are for suckers. ?
  19. Why drag your feet? McD has a whole season worth of work to evaluate. Just get it over with an move on to finding new coordinators and position coaches.
  20. Didn't take the Falcons too long to fire their OC, DC, and SpT coordinators - they fired all three today. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001006547/article/falcons-fire-oc-steve-sarkisian-two-other-assistants
  21. No one will argue that McD and Daboll really fubar'd the QB position in camp. They started the season with two rookies and paid a heavy price. Very clever ?
  22. Rams and anyone but NE**
  23. Yeah, I'm not sure why anyone would want Frazier as a HC, but I hope someone takes him off our hands. IMO, he did a mediocre job at best with the DLine, which ended up putting a lot more pressure on the DBs...who did a great job, especially with not enough help from the DLine.
  24. This off season and TC next summer will be all about getting Josh ready for the 2019 season. The three QB competition last summer was a disaster and the staff wound up not having a QB going into the season. I expect Allen to take a step forward next season with hopefully a new WR (or two) to work with, as well as a better OLine which will be the most important factor. It will also be a positive having a known backup in Barkley; so finally, it looks like the QB position will be more stable going forward.
  25. No one can argue that Lewis didn't get a chance, or that this firing was done haphazardly. Lewis had more than enough time to turn it around.
