  1. Did you miss the part where he said it was fine. We were talking about succeeding as a QB with no vertical attack.
  2. And it's an exception not the rule, so the chance of it happening are slim. Tom felt slighted that he was drafted where he was and when opportunity came knocking he was going to be ready. Will Peterman be the same? I wouldn't bet on it.
  3. Pretty hard to succed without a vertical attack or at least the threat of it. It's what did in Trent Edwards.
  4. Yup. It's the deep out route that shows arm strength. QBs need to be able to put the ball far enough ahead of the WR because of the speed of the secondary players in the NFL. They also can't float it out there because the safety can come pick it off.
  5. Actually it's more about throwing the deep out than it is about velocity. That's what scouts and GMs want to see in terms of "arm strength".
  6. It could very well be. This is a bold move, saying that McDermotts way is the right way. It could go south as quick as Ole Saint Dougs "culture" change did.
  7. But there is a lot of talent on the Bills currently. I don't think you'll see 4-12, unless there is a massive string on injuries. I think saying he will be here a while is a stretch. He will be here as long as he is improving the team.
  8. They might be but a turnaround in the NFL isn't a 5 year process anymore. People/fans expect results. This team isn't lacking in talent. I think he will get 3 years but if after 2 years there isn't a lot improvement, fans will get sick of his approach.
  9. I meant after 2 years... after next season, if the Bills haven't improved, you can bet the vultures will begin to circle again.
  10. Honestly I don't feel anything. This is all just off-season fluff. When the games start, that's when I believe we will know. And I don't anticipate it'll all happen this year but if by the end of next year the team hasn't improved significantly McDermott will meet the same fate as Doug.
  11. But there is more than just Whaley leading the scouting process. Just like there is more than just a Head Coach leading a team. You fire Whaley in January, let Monos take over and almost interview for the job then. Just like you do with an interim coach. Hire Monos or the new GM after the draft.
  12. Haha way to turn it and avoid the question. Why is Charles Robinson all of sudden the expert on what a scout should bring to a pro day? Look I get it, let's all jump on the Bills now with all these rumours flying out, it's super easy.
  13. I've seen that. When was he last time Charles Robinson was a scout?
  14. I mean, there are iPads AND iPhones... use stop watch on iPhone or other mobile device. Take notes on tablet.
  15. Haha. So true.
  16. So does that mean the whole offseason plan was McDermotts then? People complaining about Gillislee, should direct their anger at McDermott. People upset about not picking up Sammys 5th year option should direct anger at McDermott. And so on and so on.
  17. Disappointed Monos isn't going to get a shot, thought he was a nice up and coming GM. Oh well, he and Whaley will land on their feet.
  18. Buffalo Bills @buffalobills General Manager Doug Whaley has been relieved of his duties.
  19. And there it is... Doug Whaley relieved of his duties
  20. I don't think it's a bad idea, I'm just not sure they will do both. We also still have Logan Thomas.
  21. Originally drafted by Carolina, was with the Panthers while McDermott was there. Although he is 31.
  22. Per Sal, he's been in the building all week just isn't participating yet.
  23. The Bills have been as tight lipped as possible about anything in recent events, including the TT extension... and now all of a sudden Terry makes appearances, which will obviously be seen, with these QBs? Sorry, not buying it, this is as big of a smokescreen as it comes.
  24. It's really not more difficult than this to understand. Just look at the games Watkins is targeted. He dominates. In 2015, in the games that he got more than 8 targets, he averaged 119 yards and 1.16 TDs.
  25. Quick update the comp picks thread
