  1. I would think EJ latches on somewhere as well, as a backup. There also Hunter, Tate and Felton, who will most likely be on teams next season.
  2. I love this kind of stuff. What if I told you the Buffalo Bills, prior to the 2017 compensatory draft picks being handed out, were tied for 10th most in the league since 1994? Some other top ten in compensatory picks: San Francisco Dallas Cowboys Philidelphia Eagles Los Angeles Rams Tennessee Titans Are compensatory picks good? Of course they are, they give you more shots but it wasn't more than 3 years ago the Bills had 1 less compensatory pick than the Patriots* and the Denver Broncos had less than 10. But hey PFT can finally write an article that has some merit. I find it funny that he chose the number 20 as the cut off, considering there are only a handful of teams who have less than 20 at this point.
  3. I think they need a veteran receiver but I certainly don't think they need to spend a lot. There wouldn't be any point. Watkins contract is coming up and I'd bet they'll be resigning him. They'll attempt to find a WR2 in the draft.
  4. Well yea, there is that point.
  5. Wow. That's a very good deal for the Bills.
  6. Um, Smith was on the Vikings in 2016. You're watching the wrong game. You'll wanna watch Bills/Bengals 2015, when he kept Mario Williams in check, in fact the Bills didn't record a sack that game.
  7. Jon Ryan doubles as a jock strap? Who knew.
  8. Pass. Doesn't fit McDermotts scheme and would basically be a Ragland clone. No need to pay that much for another Ragland.
  9. Yup. Last year the Pats Free Agent "splashes" were Chris Long and Martellus Bennett. Two guys who were looking to reignite their career. Oh and Chris Hogan. And they certainly didn't throw them a ton of money. They were geniuses for the moves. This year they are spending and trading. Geniuses again. They do what they need to do to maintain a certain talent level. I think some fans forget they have lost key players this FA period too. Bennett, Long, Ryan, Vollmer, Sheard, Hightower(possibly) and Blount(possibly). They also lost Jamie Collins during the season.
  10. Even though this is being discussed elsewhere, I don't really get the "Patriots already look stronger" comments. They lost to FA: Vollmer Bennett Sheard Hightower(unless he resigns) Long Ryan Blount(unless he resigns) And replaced them with: Cook Gilmore Allen Ealy Allen is no where near as good as Bennett but maybe Allen plus Cook replace Bennett production. Maybe Ealy replaces the Sheard/Long duo. Still they only have Ealy, a 32 year old Ninkovic and Trey Flowers at DE. Gilmore is an upgrade over Ryan but if the Pats lose Butler, it's a wash and actually they'll have lost both starting CBs. Let's not forget "winning" the FA period means nothing. Injuries happen. Guys underperform. To me it looks like the Pats have replaced production they've lost. They will mantain the strength they had last year and in years past, which is a Super Bowl talented team.
  11. But did you watch him play?
  12. I think that's fairly obvious, if you have the opinion that the Bills are in trouble with Hyde and Poyer as the starting safety's, I'd think you'd have had to see them play. Of course I suppose you could always go by stats and what you've heard.
  13. How much have you watched of either of these players?
  14. Long just didn't like only being a cog in the wheel. Some guys but into the Pats system, some don't.
  15. I was more referring to comments Long made after the SB, he was obviously happy he won a SB but didn't like his role in the defense.
  16. Gonna be Chris Longs replacement... wonder if he will get as frustrated as Long did.
  17. Weird. Someone from Washington is feeding Schefter wrong info.
  18. @AdamSchefter NFL Network draft analyst Mike Mayock has emerged as a candidate to become Washingtons general manager, sources tell @FieldYates and me. Wtf is going on.
  19. 2 years in... run them out of town!!! I mean Robert Kraft was 16-16 in his first 2 full years as the Patriots owner despite spending massive on a coach. Hell, by 2000 they were 59-53.... so when does the honeymoon period end...
  20. Having watched Allen for 2+ years this feels more like a Chandler signing than a Bennett signing. Allen completely underwhelms. He disappears for games at a time. He's a nice RedZone threat... which will hep the Pats**, but thats it.
  21. Cool. They still own the team.
  22. Wow, is this AOL Chat via 2001?
