Exactly. They have the WRs that can win their routes, it's not the personel groupings.
-
I don't really think it's the personal grouping that's the issue, the Rams are very successful out of 13 and run it more often than the Bills.
-
In formations, first number is the number of running backs. The second number denotes number of tight ends. When someone says running 13, they mean there is 1 rb and 3 te's in the formation.

11/9/25 GAMEDAY Bills at Dolphins 1st Half Game Thread

And now we are going to be in a shoot out -
The Bills were high bidders for Waddle, tried acquiring Williams

Also, what’s the chance the Bills are looking for a WR in the 1st round of 2026 anyways? And you get Waddle as a known quantity. -

I think it still somewhat applies, not even because of knowing draft order but also no knowing value of that pick. How often are 32 1st round grades given? If there’s only 15 in 2026, pick 16s value isn’t really of a 1st, because there’s not 1st round talent there. It’s more like a 2nd. And the uncertainty is what degrades picks so far in future. Not necessarily the order of picks. So maybe a 3rd is slightly over degrading it… but it’s still quite possibly valued as a 2nd. -

It’s hard to assign value to an unknown. Yes it’ll be a 1st in 2027 but as we know, there aren’t 32 1st round grades in any given draft. You can’t just say a 2026 1st has the same value as one in 2027. -

A 2026 3rd, at this point is roughly worth a 4th because of uncertainty of where the Bills will finish. Maybe it’s still a 3rd because of where we are in season. A 2027 1st is worth a 3rd roughly (degrades a round per year away). So Beane offered a 3rd and a 3rd(4th) for Waddle and you think that’s an overpay? Sorry but that’s an underpay for me. -

No probably not. I’m not arguing against it. This just feels like a PR move from the Bills/Beane. -

It’s been a while that’s for sure. -

2027 1st round pick doesn’t scream of desperation. A 2026 maybe does, and the Dolphins turn that down. To me if they do that, that says to Dolphins fans look we are committed to Waddle. A 2027 1st, because it’s high, is a look we tried offer. -

Yea, it’s just 2 trades that were never realistic options being in division. -

This isn’t information the Dolphins are releasing, there’s no reason for them to. Sorry, it screams of a PR move from Bills/Beane to release this to say to fans “look we tried.” But the fact remains they are in this position from moves they’ve made themselves. They had options this offseason that didn’t involve trading at the deadline and try to look good doing it. -
So punting the ball inside the 15 is a given is it? And you also used the 4th and 17 as an example. So what’s 25 more yards to Mahomes based on that logic.
-
Peanuts for a WR and returner
-
I'm not sure this logic checks out. You are suggesting kicking a FG, leaves them in the game because it gives Mahomes the ball at the 40 with 22 seconds but punting the ball and giving Mahomes the ball at some hypothetical yard line, is... somehow different? And you use the 4th and 17 debauchery as an example, of them possibly being able to convert a TD. Wouldn't that apply to punting in giving them the ball? In both 'scenarios' you are giving Mahomes the ball... except with actually making the FG, there is no chance for the Chiefs to come back.
-
Wondering if the difference is in the rate of a blocks. FGs being blocked more statistically increases the chance the Chiefs get better field position, from that distance, to have a shot into the endzone.

Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?
Wayne Cubed replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree with the first statement. Inquiring is a long way off, in on. That’s just doing due diligence and seeing what the market is. The concussions don’t worry me at all. -
Joe Marino's 9 point plan for improvement
Wayne Cubed replied to D. L. Hot-Flamethrower's topic in The Stadium Wall
Imagine having Josh Allen as your QB and playing keep away ball, limiting the numer of chunk plays and just playing to score 1 more point than your opponent. I don't even think it's borderline insane, it's just insane. -

I’m not sure if it’s an issue of not having the right receivers or the offensive philosophy but the Bills seem content in just getting a new set of downs. And that’s not more apparent than on 2nd and short situations this season. The Bills have had 35 2nd and 4 or less this season. They’ve run the ball 27 times getting a new set of downs on a little more than half of them. They average 6.1 yards per play on those runs. The 8 times they’ve thrown? 100% success rate, with 10.9 yards per play. To me, there’s just not a lot of chunk plays when the opportunity is there to attempt them. Is that we don’t have the horses to do them? Or we want to play conservative ball? Or both? -
Having watched the play a few times now, I'm failry certain it's man-beater concept that Brady called, the shallow crosser/rub routes are the give away to me. The problem is, the Pats show Cover 1 but they drop into some zone variation. I think the play is intended to go to Shakir on the shallow cross/rub and Samuel is meant to occupy the safety and drag him away from where the first down is, which would have given Shakir loads of room to roam after the catch and get at least to the first down marker. I also think because it's a bad play call against that defense, it's why Allen bails the pocket so soon, knowing that play has no chance of success.

Why keep bringing certain guys back?
Wayne Cubed replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yea the amount is quite odd. Every team does it but 7 former players is a bit much. Surely you'd want a look at other players who maybe carry traits you don't have on the roster already? -
The final play to Shakir. Samuel was wide open for easy TD
Wayne Cubed replied to MikePJ76's topic in The Stadium Wall
Again, he's wide open AFTER Allen rolls right. The Safety, is over the top, he's litterally sitting there in Sharps freeze frame AND Gonzalez is gaining depth. The whole defense flows right when Josh rolls right, leaving Samuel open. If Josh's eyes take him back to Samuel, the Safety, LB and Gonzalez all will move in that direction. Now, if you want to argue he bailed on a clean pocket and the crosser would have been there for a nice gain, setting up a possible 4th and short, I'll buy that. But when Allen hits his drop back, Samuel isn't open. -
I sent a message to my dad who was at the game that this seemed like a Week 1 game, in terms of officitating. The officials are always super strict in the begining of the season to set the tone. Odd for a week 5 game in prime time.
