  1. At the moment the Jets look better. NFL is crazy like that. Don't confuse crazy w/ false though. We're real bad all of the sudden.
  2. I'm pretty ignorant compared to most Bills fans here b/c I don't follow the hockey at all, and I didn't seek out every interview he did when he first became owner (although I'm positive he wouldn't have said anything in them like this anyway). So what is his deal? From what I've seen...simply based on what I perceive to be his personality...I doubt he will. Am I wrong?
  3. I think we could easily slip in a death spiral and lose out. More likely we win 1 of our remaining games than 2 to me. We still don't have a offense than is even capable. When will we get more offense?
  4. Not yet. One more loss, then they should do it unless they have decided he is a failure already.
  5. Incognito is awesome we are idiots for not signing him first. No way he acts like the idiot he used to after all this, and he really is a fantastic lineman.
  6. McKelvin is what passes for a leader on this team.
  7. If we lose this Thursday the season is over and it is (sadly) time to throw EJ in there for every game left so he can properly bust out of the league.
  8. McKelvin is not dependable. The Pats game and now Chiefs game are clear cut "we lost b/c of him fumbling" games...that's 2 huge games he's lost himself (obviously other things went wrong...but those fumbles killed us). In addition to that...there are a slew of other fumbles/dropped ints/crazy plays in the secondary. There is no resting of the case for McKelvin. It was more than bad luck...it was McKelvin doing it again. We need to replace him, he's not the kind of player this team needs.
  9. Look, even with Freddy hurt, there has to be someone better to put back there in crucial situations. McKelvin is good and should be allowed to return for us...but when the heat is on I think he goes out there with a mindset to push and make something happen...then he fumbles. He doesn't deal with the pressure well he shouldn't be back there in a close game with 10 minutes left.
  10. Hey, it isn't the greatest show on grass but it is more explosive than it has been in .... well lets just say "years." Considering the vast majority of Bills fans were thinking, prior to McKelvin fumbling, "oh God I hope McKelvin doesn't fumble," I say it is reasonable to call McKelvin's decision to go nuts and hang the ball loosely a poor one.
  11. I'm with Saint Doug because we have looked good. But all the criticism about being conservative on 4th and knowing probability is true. He needs to change his tune on that, and coaches do that all the time. All in all it is hard for me to say we don't have a good thing going on offense and defense. Offense can still be a liability but it is more explosive than it has been in a long time so we always have a chance.
  12. If we make the playoffs , I think you build a statue.
  13. I went ahead and looked it up. Here is a list of every QB drafted by the Bills since 1986 (the year I was born): EJ Manuel Levi Brown Trent Edwards J.P. Losman Todd Collins Matt Rodgers Brian McClure That is terrible. I would say Collins is the best? I'm not the oldest, but I'm not young and that is really bad list. (btw this link is good for filtering historical draft results http://www.pro-football-reference.com/play-index/draft-finder.cgi).
  14. Honestly, how can any Bills fan who has been paying attention be upset that it is unlikely we will draft a QB soon? Any QB we've had worth anything in over a decade was not drafted by us.
  15. Kyle Orton is obviously the firm Bills QB until something better comes along. He's not "franchise" b/c it would take about 2 bad games for people to be talking replacement. When we talk about "franchise" it isn't those QBs who may be able to do it...it is those QBs who are not even questioned. There really aren't that many franchise QBs in the league that don't have rings.
  16. Give Watkins a 10 year deal now
  17. We talkin' bout practice. There are rules about how long you can practice.
  18. Nice to EJ in the role of backup.
  19. Hackett is simply wrong. Accuracy definitely has a lot of components to it...but at its base level it is all about guys with a gift for throwing. If anything EJ would be better off throwing anything and everything...get him a damn dart board at home. Have him pitch a baseball. Get him on the move and force him to take a little bit of the football to make it more catchable. I mean, some of that is probably ridiculous but that's just b/c you really aren't going to learn to throw in the NFL. When you draft guys...their ability throwing the football is the main thing. EJ had everything except that (and except the mindset). He played safe at FSU and was taught his whole life not to push too hard and just operate the offense letting the people around him carry the weight. Then we drafted him and expected him to go sling the rock when we needed it to win...shocking it didn't work out. I like EJ. But an article about spending a half hour before games and after practice ... and about him saying he is going to "let it rip"...means nothing to me. I think EJ may develop into a serviceable backup one day. That's abut it. He can't throw. Just look at Jameis last Thursday. He threw picks and didn't have a great game....but he was leaning on his back foot while on the move and dropping dimes over the shoulder 30 yards downfield in the endzone...got a penalty and did it again. Jameis, for whatever else he is, is a guy who can throw. He's a good pitcher. He's a good thrower of the football. He's good with his arm. EJ is not.
  20. Exactly my thought when reading that
  21. Orton is just what the doctor ordered for this franchise. We finally have a good roster, and now we have a drunken, above-average, crazy-man QB who throws the rock deep. Perfect.
  22. We lost last year but other than that we have played well in recent years against KC. Wasn't too long ago we crushed their entire season week 1 @KC.
  23. He's clearly hiding in the stadium until the next home game.
  24. Makes too much sense to happen for the Bills. Dare I say, it would be a smart thing to do. But what with a new owner and the NFL these days...nobody has the balls to recommend it.
