  1. Is it too late to swindle some team though that's the question.
  2. Would you move him and if so for what?
  3. people should just go tailgate outs and never go in...don't buy tickets..
  4. I don't know why everyone continues to say don't start him. Have you looked around the league? The guys has clearly worked himself into a position where he plays like an average starter.
  5. Got to have faith in Kelsay. Is the board just going to hate him for 4 years now?
  6. My God Maybin is singed though 2014! Holy hell... And yea the more you hear about this deal...the more and more reasonable it becomes.
  7. They can: 1) Send him 2) Play nickle/dime packages where he can be on the line 3) Limit his responsibilities in space (when he has to be) by the zone scheme They cannot: 1) Leave him in a huge space by himself 2) Leave him in man
  8. Then ***** about him...not his money. If you straight up want him gone...I'm going to tell you right now you are not wise and would runt he team into the ground creating more holes building no depth and further burdening an already burdened FO...but that's your right...but too much of the frenzy is focused on the amount of money...and that's just ridiculous.
  9. only 2M bonus...averaging 5M a seasons...w/ the extra 4 being incentives....this is totally reasonable
  10. He isn't a hole. Learn what a hole is guys.
  11. Wizzard you say if we think Kelsay is "worthwhile" we should be banned yet you say Poz is "ok?" You have no credibility...although most of what you said I agreed with haha. For real though I think you are too hard on Kelsay, too hard on Bell, and off the mark on Hangartner. Everything else seems to be about right. The Evans part was refreshing to hear someone else say. But the bottom line is we don't NEED a replacement (and a really good one at that haha) at everyone of those and we won't be able to get it. Just most of them.
  12. For the record...I've been quite critical of many things...never ever rationalized JP or Trent or Maybin or Poz...ever...pretty much a standard hater...so don't think that I'm delusional. This really actually does make sense here.
  13. He IS a solid contributor...just b/c he's not a "difference maker" doesn't mean we wouldn't simply be creating more holes (which we CAN'T DO) by letting him go. He'll continue to improve in the new scheme. And the money is not nearly the waste you think it is, that entire aspect is overblown...look at the atmosphere...new CBA...decent timing...we don't know the structure of it anyway... MUST make move.
  14. THIS! 1) The pay is grossly over stated here in terms of it's ridiculousness...it's substantial but it's only going to be seen as less substantial each year from now on certainly w/ the new CBA coming UP! 2) It is a MUST make stabilizing move for reasons you stated. 3) Sends a message this is a great place to play your career out and we'll reward guys who give the program. 4) For all these reasons this is not only a MUST make from the point of depth, but it could be valuable for US in terms of money VERY SOON...Kelsay was #2 in all DE's w/ tackles last year and obviously the coaches think he will continue to adjust to 3-4 and they do know more than the board...sorry guys it's true. Bottom line, GREAT POST! I agree.
  15. Do GMs ever comment on extensions? Is a reporter ever going to get to ask Nix about this?
  16. These are the guys making between 5 and 6.5M total salary in 2009 at LB...there are 9 LBs that make above 6.5 last year total salary. Just figured I'd post. Not entirely sure what Kelsays deal is ect...wonder where he'll be on this list next year the way it shakes down. A lot of moving pieces so this list isn't meant to mean anything necessarily...hoping you guys can help me make sense of it actually. At a glance though, it does seem he's vastly over paid. http://content.usatoday.com/sports/f...er=Salary+desc Player / Team / Base Salary / Sign /Bonus / Other Bonus / Total Salary / Cap Value Crowder, Channing Dolphins $ 1,500,000 $ 3,750,000 $ 1,266,000 $ 6,516,000 $ 4,016,000 Peterson, Julian Lions $ 6,500,000 $ 0 $ 4,810 $ 6,504,810 $ 6,504,810 Bulluck, Keith Titans $ 5,500,000 $ 0 $ 1,003,120 $ 6,503,120 $ 9,111,790 Urlacher, Brian Bears $ 5,625,000 $ 0 $ 500,000 $ 6,125,000 $ 10,185,511 Briggs, Lance Bears $ 1,100,000 $ 0 $ 5,000,000 $ 6,100,000 $ 6,766,666 Haralson, Parys 49ers $ 880,000 $ 0 $ 4,857,280 $ 5,737,280 $ 5,781,280 Beason, Jon Panthers $ 1,100,000 $ 2,052,500 $ 2,058,220 $ 5,210,720 $ 2,389,886 Hill, Leroy Seahawks $ 5,000,000 $ 0 $ 3,120 $ 5,003,120 $ 5,003,120
  17. This is the NFL. This post is nothing new.
  18. Well considering the literal definition of "over rated" Evans and Byrd are clearly the most over-rated on the team. That said, we have a lot of guys that suck on the team and they aren't those guys.
  19. News-Falsh: Lynch is not "gone." Chan loves him. You can tell.
  20. Team deserves no corny love. That said, good game this week despite loss...improvement.
