I'll take the dog murderer over the kid...
-
Yeah yeah...you guys need to learn what tongue and cheek is...obviously the kid is good..great high school back and has speed...my point is I watch a lot of high school videos and that's nothing extraordinary...his time is not very fast at all really all those guys have that type of time "as a junior in high school"...hell guys clock in at 4.1 in high school sometimes...(a lot of BS goes on in high school)... I've seen better highlight tapes and I'm sure there are better ones being made right now this board just drooling over this kid (some of it) b/c it must not not watch very many highlights from high school (not that you should) and b/c the kid is a Sanders....

I thought the Big East played 2 hand tag? No?

I have suspected this was a rule for some time now...

Trade Next Years Number 1 for Kevin Kolb

The thought of using a second round pick, that we would otherwise blow, on Kolb...is amazing. -
Trade Next Years Number 1 for Kevin Kolb

If he could be had, he could be had for less than a #1 overall. I'd go after him if he could be had. He can't be had though. -
Also more on replay...2 things that drive me nuts: 1) There should be a replay official in the box...like college...it's hilariously ridiculous the way the ref walks over there and puts his head in that thing and we all look at him for an hour... 2) The standard of "irrefutable visual evidence" is too high. I understand why they thought that's the way it should be...but IMO it should simply "what the ref would call after watching the replay."

I think #1 makes sense...it makes no sense to me to lose a challenge if you get it right. #2 I agree with as well....but any rule about it would necessarily effect certain situations where there may be a fake or something...I mean it's bush league to freeze the kicker a split second before (nothing wrong w/ freezing the old way of doing it more than a split second before the snap)...but at the same time if the ball is not in play I think you have to let time outs continue to be allowed..it works both ways as we've seen... #3...IDK I doubt people would be going for it very much more b/c kickers would still be accurate against a more narrow field goal within the areas teams are willing to go for it....it's a field position issue...you can't take that out of the NFL the league is built on it. In the spirit of the day I have to say I'd support some form of helmet to helmet rule enforcement...can't have a guy die and at this rate someone will eventually... I would however...take away a lot of the protection of the QB. That REALLY changes the game and those guys aren't protected b/c they "Might die" like I talk about w/ the "defenseless wr" stuff...those guys are protected b/c owners pay them a lot and the league gets better ratings and produces better games when they're in. I hate the way QBs are treated. It ruins teh game to some extent. They're football players...make them play. The most crucial rule I'd pass is some sort of game tempo rule...that's the last one to ever happen but commercials are out of control...I'm so sick of seeing a time out commercial immediately followed by a commercial after a score immediately followed by a commercial after a kick off...

I mean...like I said above and others have said as well "spread" means nothing anyway but to say "spread offense relys on having better athletes" isn't right. What most people in this thread are thinking of as "spread" schemes were designed and born out of systems that had LESSER athletes...the pre-snap motion and option scheme in the backfield were designed to neutralize the better athletes on defense and create mismatches where LBs are one fast guys and CBs are all the sudden making choices about who they want to cover as opposed to knowing their assignment...

when was the last time a field storming in the pros even happened?
-
Yeah I'm all for bashing the Jags but...we're bills fans.
-
Look if you take his name away and put that highlight film...the exact one posted in this thread...next to some of the highlight films I've watched for YEARS as a college fan...it's nothing special. PERIOD. That IS a fact. Sorry you guys love Barry Jr. b/c he's Barry Jr....but he looks like a solid recruit for D1 nothing more. His highlight tape is not near as impressive as many of the guys I've seen in the past coming out of high school...he's 5'8, 180lbs...his speed isn't blinding...all I can say is he had better go somewhere besides 'Bama b/c he won't see the field he'll have to transfer. That's a different kind of factory...go to Fla. St. and whoop up on Boston College...that's his best bet.
-
4.44 40 time is not fast anymore. End of story. Congrats Sanders you have a nice high school highlight film...everyone does...and many many college players who don't even work out have better highlight films than that.
-
"Spread" means nothing...there a million kinds of spread offenses and it's ALL over the NFL. What most think of that doesn't translate to the nfl is the "spread option" (see: University of FLorida)....QB runs a lot (must be a real threat..must take hits)...creates lots of one on ones (nfl players tackle better)...typically takes more time in backfield to develop (something nfl won't let happen)....
-
4.4? Ha...slow poke...maybe fast enough to school the Bills D but the Gators would have no use for him. Guy is a scrub I've seen better high school highlight films check out Percy Harvin's...

I love the trade deadline, love it!!

We won't do anything today. -
Thank God he's as terrible as ever. That's all I have to say.
-
Maybin would storm the stands if he got a sack
-
Ngata, Pat Williams, Orakpo, Kelsay...offense has Oher and Vick on it too...a few things that would be done if the team followed my simple fan advice. We'd also still have Winefield if possible and Fletcher. Aaron Hernandez is on the team too. We'd still have a QB problem...but...I don't know...seems like a pretty good team. Those aren't genius picks in our past...those were legit picks I thought we would make and people I wanted to keep. It's hard to drive yourself into the ground the way we did...it takes multiple obvious mistakes over the course of years and there I am thinking "well...what do I know"...well apparently I know how to look at espn and watch a few high lights and pick better than the Bills.
-
I still prefer us to play and lose than not play.
-
It's disappointing b/c there are guys that we missed who are good that we easily could have had and most of us thought we'd take. Oher. Ngata. But Orakpo was so obviously a good player, maybe not obviously the game changing stud he actually is now...but obviously good....and Maybin was obviously a coin flip on a bust...I almost root for the guys I wanted us to get...it's like my personal bills team...it's a lot better than what the brains at OBD put together.
-
Either QB would help us...
-
We have no chance against any team except Cleveland IMO. KC and Detroit will destroy us. Cinci far better.
