  1. As QB Manuel goes, so go the Bills.. GM Doug Whaley, Russ Brandon and Head Coach Doug Marrones careers may depend on the success of Manuel. ... A new owner has to be pleased what he sees or changes could be made. I know it is really early, but warning signs are appearing that indicate QB Manuel may not be as good as first thought by the front office. I really like the new Front Office and what they have done in free agency and the draft. But their decision on Manuel is their most important one... They seem to have decided that he is their man who will take them to the playoffs. They certainly built a much stronger team around Manuel.... I really want him to succeed and not flop where the fans want a change at QB... What are the odds of him leading the Buffalo Bills to the playoffs this year ?
  2. Bills to trade up to Cleveland's 4th pick in the 1st round, giving up their 9th pick in the 1st round along with their 2nd round pick and a unknown pick in next years draft... That pick will be determined later... Bills choose Watkins or Evans Both receivers are outstanding. If you listened to the "John Murphy" show last night you will know inside information on both players. This would be a good trade for the Bills...and for Cleveland Ebron drops 11% of his passes..... Robinson, Matthews, Lewan, Mack will most likely will be gone before a Bills pick at 9.
  3. One thing that is for sure........ the draft will be fun and interesting to watch until your team does not take the player you wanted....lol
  4. Cleveland Players and fans are screaming for the GM to get a top quality QB. But as there head coach said... pick 4 is to early. I believe the Browns would trade to the 9th pick if it is a win win situation for both the Browns and the Bills... What would the Bills realistically have to give up to get the 4th pick. 4th pick Is worth 1800 points 9th pick is worth 1350 points 41st pick is worth 490 points This means the Bills trade their 1st and 2nd round pick for the Browns 4th pick in the first round This may or not mean the Browns want more... It will have to be negotiated. for a win/win deal Bills want Watkins, Mack or Robinson .... for such a deal. All three are going to have great NFL seasons ahead of them. I hope a trade is possible...
  5. Pick 4 is to early for the Brown's to pick a QB... Pick 9 would be better plus a extra draft pick or two... Bills could get the WR or OT they want with a trade... I think it could happen but the Bills may have to outbid another team trying to move up... Watkins or Evans sure would look good in a Bills Uniform as would Matthews and Lewan.... Crowney, Mack and Robinson will most likely go 1,2,3......
  6. There is nothing wrong with guarded optimism..... Would you want it any other way? of course not. I feel we do have good leadership in this draft. and I do feel there is a strong possibility there will be a trade up with the Bills and Cleveland... Which does not involve players on the Bills Roster.. The trade would make our offense a lot stronger and if Mack is there... WOW...Our Defense would be one of the best. This is the time of the year to be optimistic. NOT negative.......
  7. I am talking about D.W. He is a take charge guy and I feel he will make a big splash to get the players the Bills need. I see them trading with the Browns in the first round. Bills want WR Watkins. They will need to give up their 1st round pick along with their 2nd round pick. I believe the Browns will make the trade. Browns need a QB early. Picking up a additional early 2nd round pick will make it easier to make the trade. I would expect D. W. to not stop there. He still needs a good OT. I can see more deals in the later rounds. It would be a win/win deal for both teams... Getting WR Watkins would add weapons to our offense... The kind that win championships. OT Robinson, would also look good in a Bills uniform ....... Both are Offensive Weapons .........
  8. I can see taking Martin in a trade down as long as it is before the Dolphins pick... The Dolphins are very high on him... Martin is a scraper and has huge upside. He can handle both tackle positions..... I would take him only if the Bills trade down and pick up extra picks..... His size is a problem at 308 lbs... I bet he could add some weight and not lose a step... Time will tell..
  9. With this trade..... Cleveland's 4th pick in the first round the Bills get a top quality WR in Watkins..This is the player the Bills really want. They are willing to give up a lot to make the trade, but it is worth it to them and to Cleveland. Both teams have to have a win/win situation to make the trade. This trade makes sense.
  10. Cleveland and Buffalo Make a Trade..... Cleveland receives Buffalos 1st pick, (ninth over all) and Buffalos 7th round pick along with a trade of WR Stevie Johnson for Cleveland's 4th round pick .... Advantages for Cleveland...they receive a good WR in Johnson who the coach knows well. They get the Bills 9th overall pick which allows them to pick the QB of their choice at a much lower price as compared to 4th pick and they receive a 7th round extra pick... Sounds like a good deal for Cleveland.. Buffalo now can select WR Watkins or Evans and they might consider OT Robinson or LB Mack..We as fans do not know their thinking. All the players mentioned would look good in a Bills Uniform... Trade would be made when Cleveland is on the clock..
  11. What is the most important position to up grade with the 1st round pick...??? Bills need a upgrade at RT... To protect Manuel on pass plays... He gets hurt to easily with poor O-line play. Bills desperately need to keep Emanuel healthy this year or the fans will want a replacement next year.. A Quality OT is highly needed... Think, Mathews or Lewan in the first round... Maybe a big WR/TE...is what the Bills need most in their opinion... Think, Watkins, Evans or Ebron in the first... Now if you want a great defensive player who should be available... Think, Mosley .... Think of him as another Alonzo in the same backfield at the same time.. With the addition of Mosley the Bills defense could be in the top 10. The front 7 would be greatly improved and the Bills secondary even with the loss of Byrd is strong with our youth improving... The Bills scouting department has improved over last year with the new personnel What should the Bills do in the first round ?
  12. My order of preference for the top 9 picks is: MY War Room Draft Board 1. OT Robinson.......A Franchise player 2. LB Mack.............Adding Mack would give the Bills one of the Best front 7's 3. DE Clowney .......Most likely will be gone 4. WR Watkins.........Most likely will be gone..But we can dream like the #3 pick 5. OT Matthews......He can play right or left tackle...in case Glenn goes down.. Bills need solid bookends to have a great line.. and to keep the QB on his feet 6. OT Lewan ......... A great athlete and can play both right and left tackle.. 7. WR Evans...........Bills need a big receiver 8. TE Ebron ......... Bills need a big receive...... Evan is better than Ebron 9. LB Mosley..........Mosley would make the Bills run defense greatly improved ... He and Alonzo would make a great tandem .....
  13. I feel better about the Bills front office then I have in many years... I believe our CEO Rust Brandon and GM Doug Whaley will be a lot better than those recently before them. Judging talent has been a big weakness of those actually doing the selecting. Our record proves it. We will get a very good player with our first round pick. It will decide the direction of the balance of the rest of the picks in later rounds We need a starting ORT.... A tall WR... A good TE ... Best Talent available .. in each round... With out a trade taking place here is my list for the best 9 players talent wise the Bill would take.. 1. DE Clowney 2. OT Robinson 3. WR Watkns 4. LB Mack 5. WR Evans 6. OT Matthews 7. TE Ebron 8. OT Lewan 9. LB Barr Rule of thumb... one of the top 6 will fall to the Bills..... I am hoping Evans... without knowing the character of the players. The private meetings with the players are very important. Judging talent for the Bills I feel is in much better hands than in in the past... We have a stronger cast... Now if they are only right with how they presently feel about our QB Manuel.. I can only hope they are... Do you have a better 9 pick?
  14. Bills War Room Draft Board......Could look something like this.. NOTE: These are players they want in order of preference in my opinion 1. DE Clowney .... most likely will be gone 2. OT Robinson ..... most likely will be gone 3. WR Watkins ...... most likely will be gone 4. OT Matthews .....There is a chance he is still on the board 5. OLB Mack ........ Most likely will be gone 6. WR Evans........ There is a chance he will be available 7. OT Lewan ....... There is a chance he will be available 8. TE Ebron ....... He should be available 9. MLB..Mosley ... He should be available We never know which players will drop.. QBs might be hot for instance giving the Bills a better choice... My order of Preference right now ... from what I have seen in free agency is: Draft OT Matthews, WR Evans, or OT Lewan.. Bills need to find a Tall WR, and a starting OT in the draft.. Rule of Thumb is that the Bills will get one of the top 6 picks on this War Room Draft Board.... A trade could happen if a QB is wanted by another team... I doubt this will happen however.\ Not this year...Bills would be so lucky if it did however.
  15. To those of you who feel it is proper and the right thing to do, is to ask the same question over and over again in different words like a lawyer or police officer questioning people till you get the answer you want Marrone told the truth but they wanted a different answer and wouldr un with it, if it turns out to be something different they would then say Marrone lied. Marrone looks to be a really good coach, but some of the media act like dumb jerks to put it mildly. Marrone was polite and held his temper.. Put yourself in his shoes and remember even when your honest answering the question there are people who believe you are lying and will call you dumb ass names because they are ignorant beyond belief ... I believe he handled those questions admiralty but we will still see over and over again more dumb ass questions that will be repeated over and over because they want a different answer. How these guys get and keep their jobs is beyond me. and then are those stupid people who do not see it. Don't be one ...
  16. Remember when Jim Kelly was our QB ? Go to this site to see just how good he was... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoG_2qLThgk&feature=player_embedded He had a wonderful O-line. Both OTs could set up for pass defense quickly and the middle three were like a wall giving Kelly time to find his talented WRs. Do you feel our present O-line can provide similar protection for our QB? Will Emanual eventually have the great presence Kelly had in the pocket? We certainly have the running backs and a quality OC ..... I think we will have a good offense this year, but its fun looking back at just how great Kelly was and the team... Go Bills.... Who were the Offensive linemen back then... Anyone remember ?
  17. Every year players are cut because of the salary cap like it or not. This year will be no different. I expect to see the Bills cut WR Brad Smith, DE Mark Anderson and Kicker Lindell. I also expect to see Mario Williams contract be changed to give the Bills more Cap Room... Bills need to sign FS Byrd along with Woods This year... Spillers contract is also on the horizon and it would be nice to see him also signed to a longer term contract. Can't have everything right away however but the Bills will set themselves up to let them improve the team. A quality OG could also be signed if one becomes available but you have to have the cap room to do it... So I do see some cuts coming and soon... What do you think?:
  18. Brad Smith is 6-2, 213 lbs and fast. Has good hands. Has played out of position under Gailey. He is a good receiver, maybe not great, conceded. But it is the play of the new draftees that is the most important. The better they show in preseason the least opportunity he has to make the team. If any of the others not mentioned (6) of them have a good showing it could also means he gets cut... His salary is rich and it could hurt him. Bills have a good group of young receivers this year.. A hellva lot better than last years group... Can't wait for the season to begin...
  19. The Bills have 12 WRs listed on their roster depth chart. They could keep 6 on the 53 man roster. Here is who I believe will be the best 6 and why. Stevie Johnson, Da' Rick Rogers, Robert Woods, Marquise Goodwin , T.J. Graham and finally Brad Smith. I decided on keeping Smith because the Bills can use his experience. They have the salary cap money. If they release him I am afraid the Patriots would get him. Besides he is really good ... The talent here is excellent, but still inexperienced. We know about Stevie. Rogers should have gone in the late 1st or early 2nd round if it were not for his troubles. Woods has the making of a solid starter. Goodwin is faster than a speeding bullet but inexperienced. Graham has looked really good in the preseason so far. If all really play well, then Smith might be let go, to save salary cap money. Bills are going to need all the cap money they can get next year. I also believe a couple of other WRs could make the extended roster. What a difference from lasts years group. Go Bills
  20. Bills are loaded with new talent this season. Three new WRs plus the development of T.J. Graham... The QB competition. The O-line changes now that Levetre is no longer a Bill. The new offensive game plans... There is alot also to look forward to on Defense with our new DC... who will be head and shoulders better than last years DC. Then there is Alfonso to follow. He will be a exciting defensive player for the Bills... Lots of new faces on the team. But I still say.. If E.J. Emanuel gets off to a good start, he could carry this team to the playoffs... Nix has build a team around a QB for the last three years. Now they finally have what looks to be a good one in Emanuel... Lets hope so anyway...
  21. I'm excited about the defense first off...... We have a really good defensive coordinator. We had a terrible DC last year... He never and I mean never took advantage of all that talent. This year with Byrd and Gilmore in the secondary we have two excellent defenders. McKelvin really came on in the second half of last year and Searcy looked good at SS on many occasions. The depth in the secondary is much improved. This year we finally have linebackers who can play. You have to like the depth too. The D-line was hurt much of last year. It is looking a lot better this year... Did I say we finally have a great DC ? This is a defense that no longer will be joked upon. It has the look of a top 10 defense. They are that good. I feel my excitement for this team will be justified ... I have been waiting a long time for this ... How about YOU....... ???
  22. If E.J Emanuel excels this season the Bills could go 11 and 5 or 10 and 6... Buddy Nix certainly has been building a team around the QB position for the last three years. We have two excellent runners. A Offensive line when healthy is above average. Now we have some pretty good receivers which we did not have last year. Chemistry looks good. Talent looks good. Experience not so good. Coaching looks to be vastly improved. The defense looks to be much improved for they have a hellva defensive coordinator. He certainly has the talent to work with. So I am hoping that the fast pace offense and new defensive system is successful.. When all is said and done however, I still feel the QB position really needs to improve if the Bills are to make the playoffs...Can't wait to find out... Does anyone else feel the same?
  23. The last time I looked, that is what Las Vegas is saying. They get paid to be right...They are probably looking at a new front office, new coaches including the head coach and defensive Coordinator... A bunch of new rookies at WR, with no experience along with who knows who starts at QB. Bills are also one of the youngest teams in the NFL... The schedule begs, who can they beat... Question marks all over the place... What do you think the Bills record will be for 2013 and why.?
  24. Each of us has a choice... The fans right now are mostly pessimistic and they certainly have a right. They have seen for many years a lot of promises this time of the year that have failed from the front office. So why not continue ? On the other hand I have not seen so much optimism coming from the players as I have this year. They love the coaches... How our head coach Doug Marrone handled Branch and Lawson during OTAs was priceless. He suggested to them to stay home while their wives were having babies. That their heads would be with their wives and not on the field, if they stayed in Buffalo. He told them to take care of family affairs first, then come back to play hard. That was well received by both players and the rest of the team. The players come first... That's how to lead a team and get respect. I do not believe many other coaches would have done that. Personally I believe the team is a lot better off under coach Marrone. But it is going to be the play of the QBs that will get us in the playoffs... Let's hope they are good enough to get us there.
  25. This off season got off to a good start when Ralph Wilson gave complete control to Russ Brandon. No more looking over your shoulder in the front office. The Buck now stops with Russ Brandon. Russ ran a great front office before this. He is well respected around the league. NOW he is in complete control and you are as strong as the leader at the top. The football side of the operation has been weak and we all know it. Buddy did a nice job in the short time while the GM and improved the team, but now we have new blood at the top. They have made great moves. The front office looks set with quality people running the show. The Bills look the same as how Pittsburgh built their club. Bills now have a exciting coach and staff. The draft was well done. If E.J. Emanuel succeeds this will be a outstanding draft. A lot hinges on how well he preforms. They could be a playoff team this year if all goes well. You have to be excited going into the season... if you are a real Bills fan... It's looking a hellva lot better this year than in past years... You have to believe.......
