  1. Go to this site to get a verified update: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/football/nfl/05/07/vikings.stadium.approved.ap/index.html?eref=si_mostpopular How do you feel about the Bills now getting 200 million to update their stadium... Do you think it will happen? What is your opinion ???
  2. How long has it been since we have had a off season like this one? Ralph Wilson has opened the vault and Buddy has run with the money to give the Bills one exciting team next year..I feel the only position so far that has not been addressed as far as up grading is back up QB... In next years draft there are several high quality QBs the Bills can go after ...... Nix has made this team a challenger not only for the playoffs but beyond... Now if we can only stay healthy which has been a major problem for years... This is going to be one exciting year for the Bills... but we will always find fans who will knock it ... Can't please everyone......
  3. The Bills would not give Tanney a opportunity if they did not think he had a chance... I expect the Bills to look him over good during mini camps... why not... He could turn out to be a diamond in the ruff or a complete flop. It is definitely worth a look... I hope he makes it... Next year the Bills will be hot after a franchise QB. I expect them to re-sign all the players whose contracts are up this year to be signed early. Those they want to keep anyway. Bills will be reshuffling cap money this offseason to keep the team young with quality talent. I am loving what they are doing this off-season...
  4. I believe the Bills got a lot better this off season But did we think Buddy Nix would fix all positions ? Of course not... He tired... But we did not get a good rookie backup QB ... But he is still trying his best... We won't know everything till Sept... Other teams will make cuts and even a trade might be in the works, although I doubt it ... Next year there are several top flight QBs the Bills can go after... The rest of the team for this year is looking good right now and Nix still might make it look better before Sept. What a difference a couple of years have made with the change of philosopy coming from the front office... Spending More Money to Make the Team Better ....... Nix did not have his hands strapped down from the penny pinchers...I can't wait for the season to start... I'm looking forward to an exciting year... how about YOU ?
  5. It does not come as a shock that Florence was released... It will save the Bills 4 million dollar salary and the Bills have 6 strong CBs already on the roster... The 4 million can be used to help re-sign Freddy Jackson and or a free agent at QB or WR to help the two positions that the Bills fans seem weakest on the Bills roster at present...
  6. Buddy Nix has done a nice job nice being with the Bills. A lot better than the people before him. This offseason the team has improved greatly in free agency and in the draft... Buddy says he is still trying to upgrade the team... What position is currently the weakest in your mind? Why? and who should be replaced if anyone?
  7. You can call them specialists or role players..... Some start and some come in to do a specific job... That is what this draft was all about for the Bills... In doing so they got the best players possible when it was their turn to pick... I wished they got a backup QB... Then I looked at the possible canidates they could draft next year and I liked that crop better... If Easley turns out to be the Bills 2nd WR along side Johnson the pressure is off for a WR next year... Same for Glenn at LT... But da Bills really need a young QB to back up Fitz. next year in my opinion... The Bills had a good draft ... better than what we had in the past before Nix... I am really looking forward to a playoff team this season... Go Bills
  8. The way Fitz spreads the ball around with quick passes I do not see a big problem with the WRs this year... Graham will open the field with just his presents on the field. The kid can flat out fly... Graham was added mostly in the 3rd round because of his speed which defenders have to account for and his great ability to Kick Return and Punt Return... Gailey would not go for him in the 3rd round unless he felt he was a good pickup... I like the looks of the Offense this year and as for the Defense...WOW what a improvement over last year... same with special teams...
  9. Gailey is the person who really wanted WR T.J. Graham...Here is why, as he stated...He needed another guy like Parish... Someone really fast who could open the field... Who would make defenders cover him when he went deep, to let the Bills other receivers have a better opportunity to get open... Graham is as fast as a bullet... He will be a dynamite kick and punt returner... Graham has a body of proof to show for it... Would it have been better to get a taller receiver in the 3rd round?... it is not what Gailey wanted to help his spread offense... I think he knows best and better than you and me...
  10. I just read this news....... Bills-Bucs Trade? - I reported yesterday that the Bucs and Vikings could complete a draft day trade which would enable the Bucs to move ahead of the Browns for Alabama HB Trent Richardson, and while that deal could still be completed, another potential deal is in the works. If the Vikings take CB Morris Claiborne at No. 3, and the Browns select HB Trent Richardson at No. 4, the Bucs will want to move down and out of their pick at No. 5, since their top two targets will have already come off the board, which opens the door for an on the clock deal between the Bills and Bucs. The Bills would send the Bucs pick No. 10 in the first round, along with their second round pick No. 41 to move up for USC OT Matt Kalil, the player the Bills covet in the draft. The Bucs would move down to No.10, and still have a good shot at taking Boston College LB Luke Kuechly, a player the Bucs are targeting in the draft. An agreement between the two teams may have already been reached, with the trade being completed on the clock, if Matt Kalil slips to the Bucs pick at No. 5. -Al Fronczak (10:33 a.m. ET) This would be a great deal for the Bills...In a earlier Bills Forumn I asked readers if they would like the Bills to trade up using their 1st an 2nd pick to obtain Kalil... Most said no a few said yes... Now the deal looks to be real... The Bills running attack and passing attack would be greatly improved for years with the addition of Kalil.. We can only hope the trade does take place for the long run... Go Bills ...
  11. I just read this short article dated April 24 at this site... http://www.eastcoastsportsnews.com/2012_NFL_Draft_News.html If I were to guess... I would say it might be Shea McClelin... Line Backer.. Purely a guess... But I would not put it pass Nix ..... Are there any other wild guesses you might have?
  12. In 2011 the Bills Defense Stunk Next to nothing in a pass rush... one of the worse run stopping defenses in the league... Bills Defense made the offense look a lot worse than it was... Come 2012... Bills now have one of the best D-lines in the NFL .... Rushing the passer and helping to stop the run. Barnett, Shepard, Morrison are the starters at LB... Give them a C grade... with little quality depth.. At least they will be better than last years club at LB... Bills Safties ... FS Byrd and SS Wilson according to Bleacher are in the top 5... I like SS Searchy and SS Scott for depth.... Corner Backs are a different story... We need 6 this year... If the pass rush is going to be great... Our CBs have to be great... They will see a lot of short passes, slants etc.. We need cover guys to make the opposing QBs take longer to throw.. Williams is still learning but will most likely start... Florence will be 32 and in his last year.. Same with McGee.. McKelvin.. well is McKelvin... he has left his jock on the field too many times... Rogers is a great kick returner and still learning to play CB... Bills need a high quality CB hopefully in the 1st or 2nd round and in a later round... I am hoping Gilmore is available to the Bills in round one, if not I like LB Luechly and even Barron who is great at either safety position and a team leader... A really good cover guy...
  13. Trading up to #7 from #10 looks even stronger today... I just read the following... Draft Notes - I'm buying the recent report that the Minnesota Vikings are indeed going to take CB Morris Claiborne at No. 3. -Al Fronczak If Kalil really falls to Jacksonville at #7, I feel they would be willing to trade the pick to Buffalo for Buffalos 1st round pick #10 and their 41st pick in round 2... Infact they would jump at it... Yes Buffalo would lose their 2nd round pick, but obtaining Kalil at LT would give the Bills one of the strongest O-lines in the NFL and just look at the D-line right now... The D-line is already one of the best with depth as would the O-line... Getting Kalil would be a major improvement ... then Nix can use the rest of the draft to make the team really better... He has the picks, cash and ability to do so... Go Bills...
  14. Let's say OT Matt Kalil falls to the Jacksonville Jaguars at #7..... Just saying Would you give up your first at #10 and your 2nd #41 in this years draft to get Matt Kalil? Trade value is close favoring Jacksonville... Bills get one hellva player making the Bills O-line really solid.
  15. After listening to Buddy Nix gush over CB Gilmore and CB Kirpatrick it makes more sense to me now that they will pick one of them in the 1st with NO Trade Down... Both players fit the Bills at #10. With Florence playing most likely his last year with the Bills, along with McGee and hopefully McKelvin, they need a damn good CB here... Gilmore or Kirpatrick, who ever they pick will most likely start along with Aaron Williams at the CB slots this season... Now having a great pass rush, the Bills need to strengthen the aging CBs on this team quickly... It makes a lot of sense for both CBs are going to be starters in the NFL (Gilmore & Kirpatrick)..... Bills defense will really be better ... I am sure they will pick up a OLB that fits them who they can plug in. When looking at the LT position, there really are some good players they can pick up in rounds 2,3,& 4. Buddy knows best .........The same for WR, TE and QB ..... in later rounds.... We are going to love this draft.
  16. It is the first pick for the Bills in the draft that usually sets the tone of the following picks..... Bills must stick to their draft board ... Who is likely to go in the top ten as of right now... This seems to be the latest evaluation according to the better Mock Drafters... But none of us really know the players for we do not know the insite from the interviews which plays a major role in selecting a player... Bills have a more than 50 / 50 chance to get one of the top 8 ... 1. QB Luck ....... Bills Grab him 2. QB Griffen...... Bills Grab him 3. OT Kilil........ Bills might even trade up to 7 to grab him 4. RB Richardson... Bills would take him 5. CB Clairborne .. Bills would take him 5. QB Tannenhill... If he falls to the Bills other teams will want to trade up for him even with small hands (9") 6. CB Gilmore... Best pick for da Bills... Team leader and future shut down CB ... 7. LB Keuchly .. I hope we have a chance at him... He would look good in a Bills uniform 8. SS Baron... Do the Bills need another SS/FS ? He could be great at covering LBs and RBs out of the backfield a future team leader Possibly the following 9. LB Ingram... He would look good in a Bills uniform.. 10. DT Cox... Bills do not need him, but who knows if forced to pick... he is damn good 11. DT Poe... Unlikely choice for the Bills 12. WR Blackmon ... has question marks and could drop to the Bills ...Boom or Bust player with 4.6 speed 13. WR Floyd ... He never came to One Bills Drive for a personal interview 14. CB Kirpatrick . Bills do like him, but at free safety because of his short arms 15. DE Couples .... Boom or bust player.... but who knows There are other players of course to select from.. But the best deal here is for the Bills to get lucky if they can not get one of the top 8 is to trade down a few slots picking up another 3 pick... Bills need some luck in this draft and have the players they want fall to them... We can only hope... I am looking forward to the draft knowing we have good talent evaluators taking charge... Isn't it about time and it makes me feel good to say so... Go Bills .....
  17. I hope Buddy Nix feels Cordy Glenn is the right pick at number 10....... Buddy knows best... it is a position that has to be filled with the best we can get... Glenn has a lot of upside to his talents... and he sure is big with enough athletic ability to get the job done. Glenn may be a bit of a project at first however, but we also have Hairston to help out... Bills still another OT later in the draft with upside in addition ..... Buddy Nix will give us a good draft......
  18. The Bills War Room Draft Board will look something like this.... 1. QB Luck......... Franchise Pick 2. QB Griffin ..... Franchise Pick 3. QB Tannenhil.... Franchise Pick 4. OT Kalil........ All Pro Pick 5. RB Richardson... All Pro Pick 6. CB Claiborne.... All Pro Pick even with a 4 on his wonderlic 7. LB Kuechly...... Can't miss pick.. Great player.. fills positions of need.. in 4/3 & 3/4 defense Here is where it gets interesting... Bills will take any of above 7. After that the Bills will now except a trade down if offered one to pick up a additional 3rd round pick... 8. OG Decastro..... Bills do not pick guards this high, but they do pick future all pro players ... 9. WR Blackmon..... Great player, but could be boom or bust with all his off field problems.. Could be another T.O 10. OT............. Who ever is best.. Reiff, Glenn, Martin or Adams... We do not know how they interviewed. The easiest position to draft for is Line Backer.. If they play like animals in college, that is the way they play in the NFL... The toughest position to draft for is OL... You do not know what is in their heart... And their are other players who can sneak into the top 10 on other teams draft boards... This is what I believe the Bills draft board will look like on April 26th ......
  19. Years ago I heard a Bills GM say that in first round several players slip. Rule of thumb... if you are drafting 10 your have a 60% chance of picking up players on your draft board from 6 thru 10... Bills could pick up a very good player at number 10 ... without reaching...
  20. Da Bills would really be lucky if any one of the top 6 fall to them at #10... It would give them a better chance to trade down and pick up a extra draft pick..With Bell signing a 5 year deal with Philly the pressure now to fix the OLT position has greatly elevated... We gotta protect our mulimillion dollar QB more so now than ever... Philly picked up a injury prown LT in Bell and he has a really bad shoulder. Bills would not match the Philly offer...lets hope Buddy has a lot of luck with players falling to him in the draft. I am glad we now have 10 picks for we still have some hot positions to improve our talent level on..
  21. If he should drop to the Bills, I hope they do not take him... Don't we already have a CB currently on the team now with great athletic ability who can not put a sentence together??? ... He has left his jock on the field too many times with receivers out foxing him ... He too had a very low Wonderlic score... That to me is a warning sign for not being able to learn... I hope the Bills let him go to someone else ......
  22. Da Bills will have two strong runners this coming season Jackson and Spiller will be able to move the ball on the ground exceptionaly well if .... Buddy Nix addresses the overall need at left tackle... Giving LT Bell a contract that is more acceptable to start with... Just offering him the base pay for a veteran will not cut it... If we can get him signed, it will take pressure off getting a LOT with the first pick and Buddy can consentrate on getting the best player available with that first pick. WR Floyd is a good pick.. OG Decastro might be better for he will eventually be a all pro and thats what we need. Bills need a starter with the 1st round pick and not a backup at MLB or OLB or CB.. I hope Buddy gives us a very strong O-line to go with the D-line... Think of what Jackson and Spiller can do with stronger run blocking... WOW .. and there are quality picks 2 thru 4 at OLB,CB and WR...
  23. So who is the best player on the Board of the following players most blogs recommend ? WR Floyd ... OG DeCastro ... OT Reiff ... OT Martin ... LB Kelchly ... LB Upshaw ... Floyd is good for sure... Decastro is a future all pro... Reiff is a better guard Martin is good but not at #10 Kelchly would not start even if picked #10 Upshaw can fill all LB positions and DE ... Who would Buddy Pick knowing WRs, CB, OLBs are available in rounds 2 thru 4 that are quality players? Other LTs can also be picked up in either rounds 2 and 3 ... and yes Bell could be given a better than min. contract to get him signed... I still think he will be re-signed...
  24. The first pick in the draft for the Bills has to be a gem of a pick... and yes DeCastro will be a all pro... Bills can move Urbik to back up center... They can address the tackle position in round two and WR, CB in rounds 3 and 4 along with OLB... But get the best player available with the first pick reguardless of position...
  25. If the Bills go into the 2nd round looking for a left tackle it would be a disaster... 2nd guessers will have a field day with Buddy for not fixing the problem sooner... Nix needs to find the solution to LT either before the draft or he needs to fix the problem fast during the draft. He may need to trade draft picks to get one... No way do the Bills need a big hole at LT... Bell has not re-signed.... why? Maybe he is not passing teams physicals ? I don't know... is he still injured? I do not see a great LT beyond Kalil in the draft...But the problem still needs to be addressed early with a quality selection... I hope the interviews and player work outs at One Bills drive with the visiting players helps to solve the problem... If Bell excepts the Bills current offer... it means he has to take a physical before he signs the contract... I wonder if he still has health problems and that is why he is not signing up with any team? Just a question.
