The D&L was still a railroad hub, bringing passenger trains into Buffalo... I remember riding the South Park Ave. bus with my mother when I was a very small boy and seeing that station in operation...The area was dead for so many years and now has suddenly become a bustling destination and focal point for the city.. The Pegula family has done more for Buffalo than almost anyone I can think of in my lifetime... Mr. Wilson, the Knox family, Rich's all get their props, but I hope the Pegula's are able to secure ownership of the Bills... I can only speculate the marvels yet to come... Got my fingers crossed!!!!

I will say this... When I was in my 20's and had season tickets at Rich Stadium, rain or shine, I loved going to Bills games!!! Now in my late 50's I live 300 miles away, hate sitting is crap weather, and being pat frisked like an inmate as I enter the stadium totally pisses me off.... I guess age, time and distance has softened me... BTW, I NEVER drank when at the games... Why pay money to see an event and then miss most of it because you get stupid drunk?

Went to school in Pittsburgh 1975-1977 great town and awesome football teams in those years.... Chuck Noll was simply the best in the business.. RIP Coach Noll!!!!

I grew up in South Buffalo a few blocks away from where Tim was raised and like most of us his father was a blue collar working man... Tim was raised to believe in hard work, God and country and never forgot where he came from... No matter how high up the ladder he climbed, South Buffalo was always home... And I suppose that's the reason as I sit here thinking about him, I have a tear in my eye... Six years ago, Buffalo lost a friend, RIP Mr. Russert, you are missed!!! Thanks for ths...
