Eugene Parker and what all NFL teams should do
T master replied to Homey D. Clown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the best thing i've heard out of the entire Byrd saga is to get him a one year contract & trade him for a pair of number one picks & then trade those for next years first round & get Clowney for our D !! GO Bills -
Would You Rather Have Mario Or Byrd?
T master replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know that Mario is as much of a factor as the fact that they screwed the team by jumping way to fast & giving Fitz the contract that they did . Now that they have to absorb the Fitz contract on next years cap that is what is really screwing up the works, not just as far as Byrd but could prove trouble next year in keeping others that have their contracts coming up. Not to mention what would happen say if CJ rushes for over 2K this year & he decides he has out played his contract & decides to hold out for a new contract what then. The Fitz contract again comes into play !! So i think there is more to it than Mario , i believe past mistakes could come back to haunt the Bills . The only saving grace might be is if something like that does happen they can cut veterans like Freddy J , B Smith & others that may have a chunk of money that they can save by cutting them ... -
I was listening to the interview on the John Murphy show on BB.com, he had John Clayton on talking about the flaws in the Franchise tag system . In their conversation it was mentioned that former Bills GM Bill Pollian said you shouldn't over invest at certain positions on a team . Guard & safety being 2 of them. Given that & what the Bills did with the Fitz contract (a blatant blunder in contract 1-0-1) that had no past worthy of the contract given & as discussed here many times before the front office jumped way to quick in the situation brought me to thinking of what is coming up in the future . Seeing as next year the Fitz hit will be on the cap (then as discussed in a Rumblings article) Woods & others contracts coming up quickly such as CJ, although the possibility of having 2 years left on his current contract & he could very well either decide not to play as to hold out for a more deserving contract (& i might add deservedly so) In the article on Rumblings it said the Bills can in act some clause in CJ's contract that would allow them to keep CJ an extra year at a lessor cost, which i don't see him playing for a lessor amount especially if he continues to do what he has been doing . So do they (the Bills) jeopardize in some sense the future of the team in other ways by over investing in a position that experts have said that you shouldn't over invest in ? Or do they just pay because we the fans think they should because we really like the player ? Or should they follow suit as the 49ers did with Golston & look just to develop another player such as {insert name here} to take the position & concentrate on righting the quick triggered movements that maybe adding to a tough decision for our future ? Heres where you give your 2 cents GO !!

Poz performed better in the middle than the dude from LSU we just traded to the Colts !!

I was wondering with all the talk about a certain Bills player & his contract talk just how many other players that could have had a long career with the Bills were let go in the not to distant past that could have helped to keep our team much more rellevent if we would have come off the cash ... Now i do realize that there would have been no way we could have kept all of these guys due to the cap but i'm just trying to think of something to talk about to fill the dead time till the season starts so dig in ... I'll start with a few that i can think of off the top of my head : Antione Winfield Jabari Greer Jason Peters - UHG even though i can't stand the guy !! Poz Nate Clemens Andy Levetrie O.K your turn Go Bills fans !!!
-
So then whats your take on a new stadium for the Bills ??? Just asking don't get all pissy .. Ditto to you sir ...
-
Hopefully the Bills as a team moving forward have learned from mistakes like this & others in the past & won't have any more blunders as far as this & giving away Carder & Asper that we let walk so he could be put on the practice squad . 2 more draft picks wasted , Asper could have taken Levetries place on the O line ...

Patriots' Hernandez arrested in homicide investigation
T master replied to Golden Wheels's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
apparently the hoody don't play !!!! -
So in the AFC east we all know what the Patriots have been to the AFC east & who they are with Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski, & Aron Hernandez , but our opening game this year may beginning to look a whole lot different wouldn't you say. I think it was going to be entirely different just given the fact of all of our new pieces & parts, but if you throw in what could be in the Pats future ??? If the Pats go into this season with all 3 gone now, depending on what has happened here of late in the Patriots camp (Gronks surgery , Hernandez) i know Bills fans (along with other teams in the east) will be even more stoked about our home opener this year . I for one am just wondering how they will look with the possibility of all those offensive weapons not being able to be called upon during the game & even more the possibility of a good part of the season if that is how it works out . I do know though NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE HOODY !! You always hate to see a player hurt & not be able to contribute, but as sick of the Pats as we all are we can have a bit of joy in it . But i would like our Bills to beat them straight up B/C then there would be no excuses to the fact that we did it with out them fielding their normal roster . But hey a win is a win !! GO BILLS !!

Poll: Should the "Redskins" name be changed?
T master replied to Just in Atlanta's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Do you really think that the all mighty dollar isn't behind this movement ? When the name was thought up it wasn't thought of as derogatory, i'm thinking it was due to the pride & strength of "The Redskin Nation" it was due to there toughness & determination against there advisory . But just as anything alls it takes is a few to start a movement with more than likely greed as the true motivation as i believe it to be in this case !! As to your first couple of lines in this post Redskins is no where even close to as derogatory as the things you put down & if it was then & only then should it be changed ! But putting the Washington Redskins in the same category of being derogatory as The Harlem Spooks when it comes to a name lets get real !! This is just about as foolish as not putting speedy gonzales cartoons off the air !! -
Poll: Should the "Redskins" name be changed?
T master replied to Just in Atlanta's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Should the Chicago Black Hawks name be changed , should the Atlanta Braves name be changed , should the Cleveland Indians name be changed ?? This entire movement is as ignorant as it is to hate some one for the color of their skin !! If it was actually degrading people maybe but it was used as a symbol of pride & strength not to mention heritage . What it amounts to is some one will eventually show their true colors & start a law suit for money (if it hasn't already) & then we will see the true motivation behind this changing of the name thing . Tell those involved that there will be no cash reward of any kind just the actual renaming of the team & i would be willing to bet that it would go away faster than it came about !! -

Geno Smith "not overwhelming"
T master replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am oh so glad we didn't take this guy !! So many on here were P Oed that we didn't but may be changing their tune ... -
By your post & all the negativity toward the name comment & the individual break down of EVERY SENTENCE you must be a foreigner . Just a guess ?? No just thinking if it could be possible i hope the entire thing of teams in over seas markets goes away unless it is a Europe league & as another poster said Europe champ plays American champ in a world bowl situation . I just think if not done correctly the NFL as we know it will become watered down & not true to it's roots ...

Zebrie Sanders was a LT in college & so was the guy from Clemson that filled in last year while Glenn was dinged up ...

The NFL's grand poo bah Roger Goodell is planning to add yet another game to the London series & according to the article on ESPN they are talking of eventually putting a team in London . With our own Bills losing 1 game a year to Toronto this game being taken away from the home town fans how do you all feel about the possibility of not only 1 game a year to not see our team at least on American soil but now maybe 2 . I think the NFL has a really good thing going & if it gets to big & you get some stupid european names for teams as they had in NFL europe that we may get sick of a watered down NFL . Why didn't they just keep NFL Europe if American football is so big over there ? Because there is only one Chicago Bears team , & there is only one Pittsburgh Steeler team thats what the want to see i get it . I for one think to many expansion teams especially out side the states will make for a less attractive product to what the NFL has built & it is mainly greed driven . Europe has their football & America has there's lets leave well enough alone cause to much of a good thing can sometimes be just TOO MUCH !! What say you ???

Farve in more hot water (update : Lawsuit settled)
T master replied to bkc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's all about their 15 of fame & the money that they can generate by telling a story . This stuff has probably been going on for years but now that they know they can make a buck off of telling the media it's a free for all ... Do we really think that if a gorgeous 20 something year old gal walked by a bunch of testosterone filled guys in or around a locker room that there's not going to be some kind of cat calling or propositions going on ??? This situation along with a couple of others that immediately come to mind are purposely put into the mainstream media to make it known weather it truly matters or not to the over all majority. Every action has a equal or greater reaction especially if the action has a agenda, & in todays world theres no telling what the reaction might be ... -
We can use all the guys like this we can find it looks as if this years UDFA group could be a gold mine for the team moving forward . And one thing i found very cool was the use of the N word was no where to be found in his high light video !!

Warren sapp slams J Byrd on NFLN
T master replied to taglientep's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Typical Sapp fashion running his mouth & does't have the common respect to shut his mouth while some one else is talking . That right there should tell you something ... -
The other day on the Bills OTA video they showed Moats coming in for a would be sack on the QB , I think Moats has had some decent play since being here but i don't know that the former D coordinators knew how best to use him ... I do think that Pettine will put him in more positions to make plays & we will see him in a different light.

I'm glad now that we didn't sign Darrius Heyward-Bey
T master replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If i remember correctly L. Evans had 1 really good season & after that he was very mediocre & his last impression he left on the NFL was not a good one . Don't get me wrong a great team guy & good veteran but nothing special when it came to WR's & we over rated him for a bit to long ... -
Rolando McClain (update - released by Raiders)
T master replied to FutureBillsGM's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In the recent Bills past drafts we all can admit that the Bills made a few bad picks in Maybin most notably & the pick of the WR from Indiana in the second round . But while reading the head lines around the sports world the past week or so i can remember in past drafts one name that was tossed around quite a bit during our draft that i am now so glad we didn't take & that is Rolondo McClain . There was even some talk this year when he came available of picking him up & it's a good thing our staff did their home work on him i guess . I don't know if there was as much talk about the Bills picking up T Young but there is another unfortunate happening when it comes to the NFL's fallen prospects . I hope that McClain can get him self straightened out weather he comes back to the NFL or not just for his own peace of mind , But at his age the possibility of a return could be likely . But looking back i can say i for one am glad our team doesn't have these set backs we have had more than our share to deal with when it comes to that stuff !! But i think a new day has dawned for the Bills ... GO BILLS !!! -
Eric LeGrand - Opening doors, one at a time
T master replied to Nanker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
WOW Thanks for posting this !! Eric seems to be a very special individual despite the cards he's been dealt, he is still more up beat than a lot of people i know that have all their functions . The guy is a true inspiration & when watching that piece it makes our normal daily problems look very petty in comparison ! Then there is his mom , she encompasses the heading or the word Mom what a beautiful person !! All things happen for a reason even though we may not know it god has a plan & is truly working in & around Eric & all those that helped build his new home . Continued blessings to him & his family Thanks again for that post !! -
I still think there are a few pieces of the puzzle missing but i think we are on the right track . This season will go a long way in seeing if that is a fact ...
