Similar situation here. She surprised me with tickets to Lewis Black and an overnight stay at the Oneida casino for Thursday! An early birthday gift. Finally I told her I had tix to the Bill's draft party at the fieldhouse but I was going to give them away. After a few days of forcing excitement for the upcoming trip she gave me a small opening to escape and I took it! I put the Lewis Black tix on Stub Hub today. Buy her some big-ass roses and go to the draft party. Text her half way into it and tell her she's the best wife ever. That's my plan.
