  1. Why yes, that's exactly what I meant. Nobody could possibly play after an Achilles injury. Who could imagine such a thing? But maybe, just maybe, my post had a sense of irony and a tongue and cheek feel to it. And perhaps only those without their thumb up their a** could see that.
  2. Christ, we're becoming the franchise of choice for those with damaged Achilles tendons. Can't we start looking at some stenosis cases?
  3. Tripplett was half the size of Branch....okay not half but a lot lighter.
  4. That was well done. We were greatly aided by only being knocked -2.0 on the Maybin pick. I understand that's the lowest you can go on the scale, but there could well have been a -5.0 for just an abysmal pick.
  5. Could well be. I just had the feeling going into this off season that the FO was going to take a hard look at whether or not KW would ever return to form. Maybe he's not a every down player anymore. Don't know, but what you say makes sense as well.
  6. There doesn't seem to be a place for KW in a 3-4 (I know, it's gonna be a hybid) KW really can't play a 5 technique, he's not a DE. He's not a NT. (Yeah I know Ratliff, penetrating NT,) It's true any DT that can penetrate and create mayhem will fit anywhere on any D -- but KW was not good last year and has another achilles procedure and/or rehab to go. He's not the same guy. His game was explosive off the line -- always motoring and penetrating. Exploding off the line with two damaged achilles tendons is asking a lot. The FO is hedging their bets on KW. That's my take.
  7. Looks to me like the FA isn't saying Troup maybe done, they are saying Kyle maybe done. Good pick up if they can pull it off.
  8. Let's see, go to a playoff team with Andrew Luck throwing to you or to a team that hasn't seen the postseason this century (and won't next year) with Kolb or TJ tossing the ball? Brutal decision.
  9. Did they work out Russel Wilson last year? If not I wish they would have done their homework like they seem to be doing now.
  10. Okay, I am officially giving up trying to keep track of this duck-duck-goose, wack-a-mole QB round robin. WTF is going on? It's like everyone is leaving the party with someone else's wife.
  11. Cam could be great, we'll see. He does have that plaster fake-ass smile and a diva streak but who cares if he wins. He just has to learn not to lose the locker room and he'll be outstanding. As for Geno, not buying. The better and more sophisticated a defense he played the worse his production and the outcome. He was abysmal in the Liberty Bowl against a so-so defense.
  12. Really? The SF offense doesn't seem suited for Colt.
  13. Different offense than the one Fitz ran for three years. Who's to say Fitz wouldn't have struggled with Marrone's offense? Besides, Kolb seems far more accurate than Fitz. As mentioned earlier, no ground balls or way over your head throws to open guys. Even if it's a wash, it was time to move on.
  14. It's okay. Considering the Oakland pending trade and the Arizona/Palmer pending deal, everybody is covering their a**es with vet QB's. Kolb seems no worse than Palmer or Flynn. He seems more accurate than Fitz. He's our bridge guy and a good call by the FO. Would you rather have Colt McCoy? I'm good wtih this. Now let's find a true franchise guy this year or next. All you can do is ask.
  15. It's a good signing. He's an upgrade on Fitz and we needed the bridge guy for either this or next year's draft pick. Kolb, TJ and a rook should make for a Hell of a good QB competition. So on the plus ledger, Kolb raises the bar for the coming QB contest.
  16. Mofo rates at least an A-
  17. Polian's only earthly idea is to employ his loser son. It's a bad package deal. We'll have to wait see if not over paying for a non elite LG was a bad idea.
  18. +1 Kid's working hard so why bury him before he gets a chance to get on the field. We could use him.
  19. Don't forget the outside (okay, remote) possibility of Troup actually contributing. Maybe after 3 years on IR he's rested and ready to go. Be nice of some NT help was already on the roster.
  20. I don't always follow a losing franchise, but when I do, it's the Bills. Stay hopeful my friends.
  21. Ha! TBD knew! Just ask -- TBD knew Wilson would be the man!
  22. Aaaargh! Threads are dividing and replicating!
