I don't think it matters at all if he "knows" the offense - we are really stuck until Tavaris is ready to go. Putting Thigpen in would be a disaster so we should just cut him now. Tavaris not knowing the offense can't really be that much worse than having to play him at all.

Well said - Freddy is just getting going - and once Fitz puts all that bad advice from that QB coach(What's his name =Sammy Hagar?) behind him after the first few games -- fitz will be fine too. I don't feel like any guy who has played QB as long as Fitz can be changed except for maybe his reads. Remember what they tried to do with Bledsoe and the timer?

He said he was "an outstanding route runner". I don't think that has ever been true of Stevie - and he should know the playbook by now. I certainly don't want to negate his "lackluster" career either just criticize it.

Agree with the 2nd part but as evidenced at least twice in Steeler game he is far from a fantastic route runner.

No way - anything over 40 yards is a long way to kick and leave it in the hands of a kicker. The defense needed to stop Hostetler from those long drives that consumed most of the 2nd half. Hard to blame the d because they were so good back then but it is in large part their fault.

Totally agree - we have not earned the right to look past anyone. That Jets D is still really tough. Our defense looks tough on paper but I think they will both be tough games. I really do think this is a 8-8 season.

You're not kidding that Stevie is no Andre reed. The way that Andre used to go over the middle in traffic was the epitome of tough. What a travesty that Andre is not in the HOF! It was his ability to catch those tough balls forthe tough yards that set that entire offense up. Voters that only vote on stats and never saw that team play totally miss that. I'm talking real catches over the middle too - not like what *Pats do by catching ball and getting down right away. All I really said was that Stevie is a decent Moron.

Stevie is a decent receiver - that's it - he has to prove a lot more to say he is "Buffalo Bills football". You can be a decent receiver and still be a moron. He is not great - if he was then the Bills would have tendered him a much higher offer and sooner. So many people are enamored with Stevie because he racks them up yards in Fantasy Football - but they are often in meaningless situations. Until he makes some clutch catches, stops blaming God when things go wrong, and stops costing the team for frivolous actions - I can't consider him a quality stand-up receiver = moron.

I disagree with the hockey point. But as far as the length of the games watching live - I can live with most of the breaks but that scenario of: 1) a score. 2) a Tv timeout 3)kickoff 4) Tv timeout is absolutelu brutal!!

Agree with much of this -- the best bills game I ever went to there was a transformer explosion and for part of the first half there was no media; jumbotron or Tv timeouts --it was great
