  1. I've heard the word "gamer" applied to football players all my life. I tried to find the definition of "gamer" but couldn't...so I'll make one up. If anybody wants to tweak it...great. A player who would trade their paycheck for the week & a short hospital stay for the victory. My vivid football QB memories start with Joe Ferguson. Including him, I would say we've had two "gamers" for QB's ...Kelly & Flutie. Even in defeat, you always felt they gave you a chance. They put it all on the line. I wanted to put Phillips in a choke hold for his decision in starting Johnson in the Tenn game. Any coach who benches a gamer & starts a pretty boy in a playoff game deserves to lose...if for no other reason than stupidity.
  2. "Josh Evans, a guy from Oakland to play RT, a pile of others at WR, .... Do you even have a clue who is on the team?" C'mon...give the guy a break...it was a typo. I happened to like his post. Love the optimism! I read it & actually got pumped! And hey, he could be right. Do any of us really know how the season will unfold?
  3. Dude...you need help....seriously!
  4. Dyslexic inversion with numbers in dreams is a very common thing
  5. Please accept my apologies. I didn't mean to irk anyone. Although quite frustrated with my team because of the last few years, I am a positive person by nature. I guess I just needed to tell my story of what happened at that Skins game. And hey, we got to read some other interesting stories.
  6. I watched it several more times, keeping in mind your point. I still think it traveled backwards about 4 to 12 inches. So much was riding on that. It truly is a game of inches.
  7. Buffalo Bill...let me help you. All these years I thought the same thing. Then my buddy found this on youtube >> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PLAFH4Ch05A Stop it at 1:47....& watch it several times 1:47 to 1:52 If my recollection serves me correctly, we didn't get this angle after the the play. This must have been what Luckett saw under the hood. To all those who believe we got ripped that day...I'm curious if these 5 seconds on this replay video will change your mind like it did mine.
  8. Too bad, as a newcomer to TSW, you've chosen to actually not contribute, but instead ridicule. This is a classic example of being exactly what you accuse others of.
  9. See...I told ya justnzane! haha
  10. We know Joe - but we enjoy being idiots...just like you California dudes enjoy surfing. We know they'll tank again, but please...let us hope. There's nothing else to do here in the northeast. We don't want lives...all we want is for Norwoods kick to be 6 feet to the left, & we're not gonna rest 'til it happens!
  11. Never give advice - The wise don't need it & the ignorant don't heed it.
  12. Good News Darth...I just found this: Nostradamus Quatrain 12:57 In the land where they once were talking proud, BB will lead the wing lovers to a giant bowl at the new century plus 10. The winds of change shall transform the skeptics.
  13. OK, so you're the one that peed on that kid...aren't you?
  14. Thank you for the fascinating story & tremendous contribution to this thread.
  15. Ya know....if it wasn't a little kid, maybe....she was such a classy gal & so upset! There's plenty of idiots in attendance at the games I would like to urinate on
  16. It was about 15 yrs ago - give or take a little. I was at Rich Stadium watching a Bills / Redskins game with my sister. Seated next to me was an eleven year-old boy, and next to him his mother. Sometime during the game she got up & said, "Excuse me, I have to take my son to the rest-room...this guy behind us just urinated all over him." I instantly became infuriated. Then I asked her perhaps a dumb question, but it was so hard to believe...I asked, "Did you personally witness this?" She said, "Yes". I immediately got up & hunted security & they tossed him out of the stadium. When the dude got to the isle, it was all I could do to not toss him down the steps. The Bills played a great game & beat the Skins, but I was still mad at the end of the game & couldn't savor the victory. What Bills victory did you least enjoy, & why?
  17. One of these guys won a SB, & was a terror in the post season...& therefore ...IMHO...deserves his name removed. Was he an elite QB?...no, but I think I would take him right now (in his prime) in lieu of our current options.
  18. I'm with ya 100% on Steve Young as far as the best back-up ever in the NFL before he was named starter. As far as the Bills are concerned, my vote is Lamonica 1st, with Frank Reich a close second.
  19. Born in N. Tonawanda in '54- moved to Hamburg at age 5 Graduated from Hamburg High in '72 Worked at a pizzeria across from Rich Stadium while in HS Live in Steelers country now in SW PA Own Two retail shops in resort areas now Always been a Bills fan (getting tougher lately)
  20. "Honey, honey...wake up...wake up...time to go to work" Whew baby...I was having this awesome dream..........................
  21. Add to that, we will definitely not lose a game between Oct 11th & Oct 23rd...gonna be a good stretch for us!
  22. Would my grandmother look good in my Corvette?
  23. I hope it's his first day back & we pound the daylights out of him & win 34 to 3.
  24. Mr. Weo, there's two ways to communicate on this board. (1) Make it personal & attack those with a different viewpoint than yourself, or (2) Engage in a non-personal healthy debate so all participants can ponder all sides of an issue. The people that opt for #1 are the ones that need to grow up.
  25. I would like to repeat my prediction of about a week ago. (Not that it matters). I predict the pecking order going into camp will be Edwards, Brohm, Fitz, Brown...& that Fitz will be the one cut when they trim to 53, & that Brohm will overtake Edwards early on. By "early on" I mean somewhere between mid pre-season & game four of the actual schedule. My predictions are never right, so don't place too much stock in this. :-)
