Kelly's Memoirs - Your Opinion Please
Glory Bound replied to Glory Bound's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jesus has transformed my life as well, & I am eternally grateful to Him for that, along with my salvation. Yet, I do not feel the need to inform people of the details of my wretchedness before that day I dropped to my knees. My past sins are between myself & God. I feel I can be a better witness to others by letting my light shine on who I am today, without shining a light on my dirty past. I just feel as if Kelly could have alluded to falling short as a human being before Jesus, minus the sordid details. Do people really need to know how he ripped Jill's heart out? -

I have not read one negative comment from anyone in response to Mike's reports. We need to get his address & shower him with gifts. VERY much appreciated...it's like we're almost there! -

Mike, I love the way you do these reports. First, the facts, then your opinions & observations. To quote you >> "Trent Edwards surprised me when he hit Lee Evans in stride for a 15-yard gain." It's pretty bad when someone with your level of awareness is surprised at that! Don't Brady & Manning do that every 30 seconds at camp? -

Just goes to show that one's heroes should be people who inspire you day to day. Not overpaid celebrities... C Excellent Advice! -
Link > http://www.buffalonews.com/city/article87364.ece I have always been of the mindset that people should keep the ups & downs of their marriage to themselves. My wife & I are celebrating 30 yrs this month. We have been faithful to each other, but like all other marriages, it has not been perfect. With that said, we are in love & would get married again tomorrow. No one knows the troubles we've had, & that's the way we intend to keep it. Why do the Kelly's feel the need to put their dirty laundry on display? It troubles me that this guy we enjoyed watching lead our beloved Bills had serious character issues. Am I wrong here? I spose nobody would read their book if it was soley about Krabbe's Disease or spiritual conversion.

Let's not forget all the injuries to the OL last year...& also Wang. He's the only full blooded Chinese man to play in the NFL, so he's got something to prove. He also comes from a rich athletic pedigree. My point?...maybe our OL situation isn't as bad as we think it is. I am hoping anyway.........

This is great news Mike. Please keep us posted on his progress

Chris Brown's day 1 practice notes
Glory Bound replied to Skoobydum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm with ya on the "luck" thing! Let's be honest, Brady (6th round) was definitely a lucky snag. If any of the big shots really knew what Brady was, he would have gone pronto. If you look back at Brown's stats last yr, combined with his interviews & also comments by opposing defenses...hey, I'm thinking this guy could shine in time. -
Chris Brown's day 1 practice notes
Glory Bound replied to Skoobydum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am hoping Brown proves to be a diamond in the rough & climbs the ladder quicker than anticipated. The "three" that Gailey announced don't exactly make me want to renew my Sunday ticket. Dang, I hope it was more of coaching debacle of late as opposed to a lack of talent, which has been my suspicion. I hope Edwards proves me wrong. -

Chris Brown's day 1 practice notes
Glory Bound replied to Skoobydum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Since Skooby posted it as Chris Brown's day 1 practice notes, it was not plagiarism. A copy & paste as opposed to a link is no biggie in my view. -
Thanks for the great dig. I love the research you did in exposing Trentative's past. I hope Gailey reads this before he announces the pecking order. I have read many versions of Bill Walsh's so called endorsement. Several of them were quite mild edorsements, while others seem strong...so what's the real version? Bill Walsh is not around to clarify. And hey...not all the gurus are always right. I remember Bill Cowher saying two years ago that the Bills are the team to watch. Well...we watched, & then we agonized. I predict TE will be #1 in the pecking order, but will be overtaken by Brohm early on...& Fitz will be the odd man out because of his inaccuracy. If we want what we always got, let's do what we've always done. If TE is our guy all season, I fear we'll just get more of the same.

Wouldn't that be awesome? Question: If it happens, which one of the four would you put your money on? -
One thing that will make you happy
Glory Bound replied to gregkash's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll be happy if I don't break something valuable around the house this year while watching the games. My wife's had enuf of that! -
Bradshaw can be a goofball, yes...but we can't deny his accomplishments. Therefore, we should at least consider his opinions. You have to admit, we badly needed a beefy NT....and one has to question whether our 3 QB's in the running are as bad as most are labeling them. I'm more inclined to think their lack of performance was due to a total overall dysfunction of a bad system put in place by a defensive minded coach surrounded by inexperience, than poor skills on their part. I can't wait for two things to happen...to see what Gailey can do with them, & to see what the pecking order is gonna be. Just think, we'll know in a week the latter!
-
I consider an expert...& someone who's opinion is worth listening to, as someone who's been there - done that. Terry Bradshaw's opinion is good enuf for me. Talking heads are a dime a dozen. I've wrapped myself around Spiller & Troup & look forward to seeing what they can do. I've listened to Clausen & he seems like he's got a few loose screws. Give me a solid, stable thinker & talker for my QB, before analyzing his abilities. Chances are a goofy kid will make goofy decisions.

If you think it's been bad in Buffalo
Glory Bound replied to John Adams's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Plus they get to play in a dome. I think they're gonna have a good yr -
Actually...I'm not so sure about Brown being a joke. Last yr - 23 TD's - 4254 Yds - QB rating: 146.97. Also, he seems to have a good head on his shoulders. To be honest, when Gailey said it was down to "three", I was a disappointed. I was hoping he would have a legitimate shot this yr.
