  1. i'll be at the broncos game and more importantly the fan fest tailgate beforehand!
  2. speaking of freddy - does anyone know where i could find a freddy jersey? i've been looking on ebay and other sites but haven't been able to find anything besides womens and youth sizes.
  3. like an earlier post pointed out, it's just way too predictable. how about mixing in a pass on 1st or 2nd down a little bit more? how bout trying to throw some more quick passes to Sammy who clearly can take it to the house whenever he gets his hands on the ball? i can't ever remember feeling so salty after a 20 pt win.
  4. i agree with all of your points and would that although it was a bad game, big picture we're still 2-1. gilmore looked especially bad today, not sure what's going on with him. also loved when mario slammed donald brown into the turf. would've been even better if they didn't score that drive...d'oh
  5. Ralph C Wilson, Jr. - RIP Hard to believe he's gone, he did so much for Buffalo and was the Don of the Bills Mafia. Hopefully the RW patch that will undoubtedly be on our jerseys this year helps propel us back to greatness.
  6. Pepper Johnson! Isn't that why he left NE? To become a DC quicker somewhere else than he would have (if at all) in NE?
  7. If we can't get Geno, then I'd like to draft Manuel in the 2nd. I haven't seen Nassib play that much, just highlights here and there and then I watched him in the senior bowl, and he was unimpressive at best. To me it doesn't matter how familiar he is with Marrone and Hackett, remember a couple years ago when Pete Carroll drafted Earl Thomas instead of the guy he coached at USC, Taylor Mays? Sometimes it makes sense not to go with the guy who you are familiar with, Thomas has had a much better career so far. I'll go ahead and predict that Nassib will not have as good of a career as either Geno or E.J.
  8. exactly...if he had no interest, he could have turned down the interview. it's not like a coach hasn't turned down the bills before.
  9. i agree that we need to do something and obviously nothing is a sign of change more than changing the qb. personally i agree it should be tjax, but something needs to be done. tjax is a .500 qb (17-17 i think) which is much better than Fitz (21-36-1). today there were some drops and fitz played well for most of the game but it's so frustrating to know that outside of those first couple games last year, we can be pretty sure that fitz can't lead us back from behind which we need him to do given how our D is playing. he's not the only problem, but he's also not much of a solution. it might not be fair, but i gotta believe that getting benched when your team is in dire need of a spark comes with the territory of being an nfl qb. all that said, i agree that chan won't do it.
  10. if we beat the texans, i will buy everyone on this site a chalupa
  11. I was at the game today and it just seemed that ANY quarterback in the NFL could have made those passes that Fitz made today, especially the TD passes to Jones and Stevie. making those throws should be table stakes for being a starter in the NFL. It's so easy to play defense against us because we don't go downfield EVER. that being the case, i don't get why we drafted tj graham (but that's besides the point). The defense is definitely awful, historically bad. How we fix it, I don't know but it does seem like the talent we have at least has the potential to be better. maybe not top 10 or even top 20 in the league, but at least not historically bad. however, nothing seems to fire up a team more than a qb change and i believe that's what we have to do during the bye week. i absolutely hate hearing fitz and chan talking game after the game about why they don't know why things went wrong and how fitz wants throws back or whatever. screw it, blow the whole thing up. what's the worst that can happen? we already can't score against decent defenses. at least it'll show that we're trying.
  12. it seems like the drives that we scored on, either freddy, cj or both make some good runs and fitz really doesn't have to do much. stevie is a great route runner and can get open for fitz but he can't get the ball in to tight spaces with much accuracy. i don't think thigpen can do any better but i would like to see tjax get a shot. it's highly unlikely that he's the answer but it would be fun to see stevie or better yet tj run some deep routes and have to catch up to the ball instead of slowing down to try and break up an interception. i'm happy we got the win, but it would be nice to get some better qb play. on defense, it was nice to see us get to kolb as much as we did even though arizona's line is probably the worst in the league. hopefully this will give the guys some confidence for the rest of the year. this week made me miss moorman too. powell might eventually be good, he's got a helluva leg but we could have made it a lot easier on ourselves if he could have angled the ball better. granted, he's a rook and i'm sure he'll be fine but i think we still need him to be better than he was today.
  13. I was hoping we'd draft Russell Wilson but now I'll buy into the Geno Smith hype and hope we draft him next year.
  14. Gailey needs to go and Fitz needs to go. So much of success in the NFL is based on coaching, and Chan's offense just isn't getting it done. We need a coach that will get pissed off and inspire the team especially after getting trounced by New England last week. That clearly didn't happen this week otherwise we wouldn't have lost by six touchdowns. While Gailey and Wannstedt are still employed in Buffalo, I will be starting the qb for our opponents in fantasy for the rest of the year. Fitz's inability to stretch the field is one of the most frustrating things to watch. He tries hard and puts everything he's got into throwing a 10 yard out that most starting qbs can zip in there with a flick of the wrist. He may be a smart guy, hard worker but at the end of the day he doesn't have the tools to win. Obviously that's no surprise to anyone here. I say let's put in T-Jack. He's a .500 qb for his career and that's a hellavua lot better than anyone else we have.
  15. not sure but floyd could probably eat parrish
  16. i voted to cut him. i don't think we can get much worse with a FA or rookie. At least if you bring in someone younger, they should have more of an upside than DF.
  17. then couldn't you get someone who has Sunday Ticket already, pay them $50 (or more to split it more evenly) to add the ps3 on their account and avoid paying the 340??
  18. Does anyone know of any sites that might stream the game on Saturday? If not, NFL Network is showing it at 7pm on Sunday i think.
  19. how come bowers isn't off the board? he was a top 10 pick up until the last couple weeks. that wouldn't be a bad pick either at 34.
  20. austin from north carolina would be sick, but why not take mallett or dalton if they're still on the board? both need to learn and could under fitz. dareus was a great pick though, alongside kyle he's going to be a beast. if only maybin would remember that he's not in a flag football league
  21. It compared him to Pat White...that doesn't sound too flattering. But you never know...
  22. obviously our qb play has sucked ever since kelly retired, with a few exceptions (bledsoe for like a year, and a bit during the flutie years). we keep going after these qbs who think too much, very "cerebral" guys...that's fine if you have protection like peyton manning gets or tom brady gets. but with a crappy o-line, we need a guy who relies more on his instincts. maybe that guy won't lead us to the super bowl, but he'll at least get us back to respectability, if not the playoffs. i was really hoping that the titans would keep the kerry collins project going long enough for them to let vince young go and for us to pick him up. too bad that ship has sailed.
  23. TE just hasn't produced any results. Granted, we haven't had the best protection but he has had weapons that he just didn't use. Even when he had time, he didn't take advantage of it and get the ball downfield to Evans or Owens nearly enough. Plus, whenever he threw a deep ball it just seemed like it took forever to get there. I'm not saying I would have rather had Losman, but at least he had a cannon (if only he had the accuracy) Also, if he didn't say something like "My goal is to take the Buffalo Bills to the Superbowl and bring home a Championship" then he'd be an idiot. Anything to the contrary and he'd for sure be booking his own ticket out of town.
