The only real name for D coordinator I've seen is Jim Bates.. He runs a 4-3 not too unlike the defense Gregg Williams used here.. We'd need new LBs and DTs that control gaps, not penetrate... Who knows..

But, I am not sure Levitre is strong enough right now,,, Maybe he stays at Guard and Butler stays at tackle, but its nice to have options.. and I am not a huge Matt Light fan... There will be players available all over to fill that spot.. My guess they go Rd 2 or 3 to grab a tackle if at all... Could be a FA...

Jim Bates would be a fine coordinator... Just as long as they provide the type of players he needs for his scheme... Right now, they'd have to bring in faster LB's and another big, gap filling DT.. Maybin and Shoebel fit well, so does Stroud... but, Poz...deffinitly not... Probably need a whole new LB crew... unless you use Poz as the Will... Love our secondary.

I'd be interested in Kellen Clemens.. I think he could be a true NFl starter.. victim of new personnel guys in NY... Campbell also might be worth a shot given a new system.. not really a West Coast kind of QB... I bet we trade for Thigpen though... gulp!

Has AJ Smith wasted one of the most talented teams of the decade?, Hiring perhaps the 2 biggest playoff choking coaches ever? Well... Maybe that's part of why Nix came back here.... They supposedly had a falling out... Maybe they disagreed on the coaching decision... I wish Smith never left Buffalo though... Come to think of it, I wish Polian never left Buffalo... Wait Butler was here with him too.. DOH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn you Wilson!!!!!!!!!!!

I have seen all over that Nix is a smash mouth, throwback guy... Sherman is a West coast guy I do believe.. would not fit... Just like Billick, Weiss and Garrett all would not... Brian Schottenheimer, Cowher,Grimm and Frazier all seem to fit that... It comes down to style and being on the same page, which is the right way to do it....

If we just had gotten one position right, we all might be making a very different series of posts this weekend.. If we have a QB, we might have been playing this weekend... I think there is a great deal of young talent on this team and I truely believe Marv messed things up just as badly as Danaho.. I like the last two drafts..It takes a while for rookies and second year players to develop... Pro personnel sucks though... badly, I think Guy should go and Modrack should stay... We all forget for all of these misses, there are solid young players these guys brought in at those same positions... Jackson,Kyle Williams,Steve Johnson( I like him), Wood, Butler, Byrd, Nelson, McKelvin, Wilson... There are even hold overs from Donaho like Schobel and McGee... Lets just see where things take us with a new coach... Very much looking forward to my Sundays being fun again... Go Bills!!!

People will tell you "anyone can win/look good with the players that they have". This is very true... Frazier would be a great selection if Nix can conduct a couple sound drafts and if Guy either gets fired or gets his head out of his a$$ with Pro-personnel... I like Grimm and Frazier, was not a fan of Ron Rivera.. Not so high on GArrett.. The reason why I favor Grimm a little is bc he more than likely would be a 3-4 guy on Defense and I think with our younger players in place a 3-4 sets up nicely if we bring in another Mike... Poz can play will like in college and Maybin can play Sam.. How about this... Poz,McClain,Mitchell,Maybin.. I will leave you with this.. We need a Quarterback fellas..

I actually like Bell... If you look at San Diego, they have not used many really high draft picks on o linemen,. I assume Nix is of that philosophy.. Plus, a competent qb will make a lesser lt look a hell of a lot better... I say if there is no Claussen at no 9 we go MaClain... Or move out of it to get more picks, but obviously the new coach needs to be in place before we get all into mock drafting.... Bottom line, get a coach and a quarterback.... Then we'll talk.

please forgive me if I'm off a year or so, but he only worked w Randy Moss one season before he went to Baltimore.. He's a solid coach, but I'm not so sure his philosophy is on par w Nix... When his name was "hot" in buffalo, it was before Nix was appointed GM... It's obvious they wanted a home run pr coach like cowher or shabby and when that didn't happen they promoted nix and are now looking for the right guy... Too bad it seems as if many are reluctant to join the franchise due to a decade of mismanagement and no real changes make... I would not either.
