Bears CB Jaylon Johnson Requests to be Traded
PaattMaann replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in The Stadium Wall
sounds like your describing Fraziers defense over the past several years. McD, especially when we had our guys healthy, was amongst the most aggressive schemes in the league. He is having guys get after the QB, players play "down hill" and attack. They led the NFL in take aways through the first four weeks. They still lead the league in pressure and are 2nd in sacks (with 20 missed sacks by the way, 20!). This is very much a ball hawk and pass rush defense, its just been severely hampered due to the injuries and figuring out ways to cope and still be agressive...like having Poyer play LB in passing situations and have Rapp on the field in Po's spot. -

Week 7 Bills @ Patriots - on to Foxborough!
PaattMaann replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
huh?? Last year Diggs had 7/92/1 TD and 7/104/1 TD in their games against the Pats Two years ago he had 7/85/1 TD and in the wind game he had 4/51 and 3/60 (not needed much in the perfect offensive game I guess) Three years ago he had 9/145/3 TD's and 6/92 Where exactly has BB been successful limiting Diggs? -

Really hoping the AC Joint speculation turns out to just be speculation and it was just a hard hit to the shoulder/stinger. Any level of drop off from Josh, or god forbid he cant play for any amount of time, we are screwed. Can we just fast forward to todays practice time please? I've been worried about this since the end of the Giants game. -

he DOES fall on the top of his shoulder. It is the Dexter Lawrence hit that he falls onto his shoulder and grabs. Shoulder is tucked and he lands right on the top/outside of it. Are you thinking of a different hit? I'm not speculating on the injury, just that it definitely looks like he falls on the top of his shoulder. -
First three drives against the Giants... 1. Stef diggs drop and gabe davis incompletion...which of those missed executions is on Dorsey there? 2. Bills moving the ball down the field with ease, Gabe Davis fumbles in giants territory...that is somehow on Dorsey? 3. Drove the ball 40 yards down to the Giants 37 and then Diggs gets tackled 1 on 1 in the open field for no gain, Josh incomplete to Knox ends drive at the 37. Ok, maybe Dorsey should have called better plays there? Maybe it was good play design to get your Alpha WR 1 on 1 against a tiny DB and expecting him to get some YAC instead of tackled immediately? But I am sure everyone will jump on the latter part of this stalled drive instead of the big chunk play and the 10 yard run design and call that got them down inside Giants territory. Then to end the half we get an INT and missed FG. Second half we scored on all three possessions. Sometimes it is just hard to win in the NFL, and WE DID. Could offense have executed better? Hell yea, every offense in every game can execute better (except for a couple of Ken Dorsey called games where they were essentially perfect offensive performances, but yea, Dorsey cant run an offense). Fire Dorsey lol, some people just don't know ball...or at least don't understand the nuance of football.

There is zero percent chance starters are rested for the second half. Even if we are up 30, starters will not be pulled then. MAYBE for most of the 4th quarter IF we were up by 4 scores, but a whole half??? Your point is valid, would be nice for some key guys to play less than a full game. Most important is just getting the dub. -
Our next opponent….The NY Football Giants
PaattMaann replied to Walking Tall's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think this game is going to be close. No I dont think there is any chance we lose, but I think its gonna be closer than this two touchdown spread (really hope I am wrong as I would love a blowout and me leaving my seats with 8 minutes to go in the 4th quarter when Kyle Allen starts taking snaps). Giants are desperate, will pull out all the stops. Daboll homecoming, will pull out all the stops. About the above, his players will be pulling out all the stops to help him get a win. They are bad on offense no doubt, and pretty much on defense too, but they have played a very hard schedule so I don't think they are really 1-4 bad. We have new pieces acclimating on defense. Injured player theory - when an important player for a team cant play, for the FIRST week the rest of the team rises up and plays better than they have, often resulting in a win (Daniel Jones out, TT in - theory is a gambling one purported by vegas capper Marco D'Angelo). Im not nervous, but I think this will be a football game until the 4th quarter. Hope like hell I am wrong. Just how I'm feeling about this week. Go Bills! -
its the interwebs, proper grammar has no place here ya nerd he wouldn't have built a dynasty if it weren't for having Tom Brady You are right that he was responsible for that dynasty, no doubt, but if you take Brady off that squad they are not a dynasty...that was my point, of which my articulation was poor.
-
No they just suck because BB isnt a good GM and his talent is depleted, especially on offense. Tom Brady made BB. BB is a good defensive coordinator, bad at everything else.

agreed, thats why I said im thinking about them and not these next two easy dubs (we should still roll the Bucs though) -

Im already on to the patriots...but they really suck too, so I guess im already on to the Bucs I will enjoy these next two easy, no sweat wins though...stack em when you can -
ESPN isnt releasing viewership numbers (other streaming services have also done so in the past) for this seasons London games, but there have been between 2.5-5.5 million viewers for the london games (does NOT include home market numbers). So....some people are watching. Also...the toddlers dont watch lol. Mom takes them outside to play on sundays like a woman should.
-
sounds awful (minus tailgating). but to each their own. I got two toddlers, were up and chored by the time 930 football is on.
-
if there's no Bills home game (like there was last week) then I watch it, as do most of my sports loving friends. What else are people doing at 930 on a sunday morning? To me there is just no reason NOT to have the game on, just like a thursday night game. Its still football. Tough to judge based on ratings because they have toyed around with different streaming services for sunday games, and when it is on network, the numbers do not include home markets. Dont know much but I know the NFL loves money and they are obviously making money by having this as a 930et game.
-
Really don't love that. To me that makes Von returning all the more important. Don't want Kingsley Jonathan having to play for 40% of the snaps.
-
why a half hour late?
-
And for a lot of people football is their Church The NFL realizes they can capitalize on another "prime time" game where its the only game on to watch, thus creating more advertising dollars. No brainer for them.

Rousseau Injured Foot / Uniforms for Sunday (Question)
PaattMaann replied to Never NEVER Give-up's topic in The Stadium Wall
Oliver fell and his knee landed on Greg's foot. Was early enough where he played a lot of snaps after the injury. Best case is a contusion/sprain. Worst case a fracture (would been a real tough it out performance if he fractured it and kept playing, but im sure its happened before) Blue tops is all we officially know. -
Yea I would say your standard is too strict OR theres only 1/2 guys in the league at any moment that are terrifying...which if thats the case, then almost all the D's we face wouldnt have a terrifying player so whats your point? : )
-
missed tackles have been an issue with our defense since McD has arrived (not bashing him, just stating facts)...I highly doubt that will "get cleaned up" for this game.
-
Jevon Holland is a top 2/3 safety in the league. He gets my vote for terrifying. But I agree there are no "game wreckers" on that D. They do have a bunch of pass rushers though.

For frame of reference, Kincaid is on pace to finish the year as the 5th most ever receptions from a rookie TE...on a team where he is TE 1A/TE 2. People need to relax a bit with his usage. He will get high volume games. The offense has been just fine so far. Blue tops, white panties
