100% I know some liked the bishop and Carter picks but I’ll say it again, this was an insanely loaded WR class and you come out of it with one, they already look like idiots in my eyes, and I love Beane. Taking AD Mitchell over Bishop or Troy Franklin over Carter would’ve been been great this year and long term. Not hard to find a decent safety or rotational DT depth but it is hard to find young cheap play making WRs
-
Amen! Those are the 2 that matter this year. Yes it would’ve been awesome to have a splash in the draft and get Odunze or go multiple WRs like the packers do with the chance at Coleman, AD Mitchell and Troy Franklin (1st, 2nd and 3rd round) or heck we could’ve paid to get ayuik but at the end of the day this is what we’ve got at WR. I’m confident in Shakir and Kincaid after that it’s a week to week with Samuel being the gadget guy, Hollins being our special teams leader who occasionally makes a big play and Coleman hopefully he becomes a steady constant come playoff time. I’d love for Hamler to be on the team because of his explosiveness but he needs to not suck the last 2 preseason games. That last spot would be cool to have a guy like Corey Davis but I’m not holding my breath because who knows if he still has it in him. He hasn’t been healthy since like 2020

Heck ya give him a shot. Always liked him in college
-
And we could’ve had him in the 3rd round 🤦🏻♂️

JA’s favorite pass of his NFL career

Was at the stadium for this one. Awesome! -
Winds were crazy in the stadium on Saturday. These guys hadn’t been practicing at this stadium in these conditions. I cut the returners a little slack for their very first attempts and I hope the coaches and Beane realize that too. Hamler was the most explosive athlete on our team Saturday and we’ll regret not hanging on to him over some other JAG

Isn’t this the case no matter what the rest of the team looks like? I would’ve loved for us to trade our first 3 picks (Coleman, bishop, Carter ✌️) this year and a first rounder next year to trade up to 9 for Odunze because he’s a legit step in day one WR1 but I am also amped up to see Brady and his spread the ball around positionless system and if it really lets Josh play loose and at his best My favorite attribute that our top receiving threats have (Shakir, Kincaid and Coleman) is solid hands. I don’t want to see a bunch of dumbass drops this year

It’s fine to point out how we didn’t play well with specifics on what we’d like to see improved but to over exaggerate the level of concern on our potential 53 man roster off of the first preseason game is ludicrous. Most of these guys that played game one won’t make the team. Like I stated before I’m confident at the end of preseason, we will have good depth as per usual at every position except safety The most important thing I saw yesterday besides Josh staying healthy was McD actually being a competent HC by focusing on in game decision. He keeps doing that all season and doesn’t micromanage the coordinators and I may change my tune on him needing to go. I don’t want to see any more botched games because of 12 men on the field, Hamlin fake punts, and not letting your superstar QB win a game in regulation in a tie game with time on the clock. Outside of coaching we need only a couple things to go our way and I see us getting to at least the AFC championship game - Josh stays healthy all season - Von and Milano are close to their old form all season Stay focused McD on game management and we’ve got a shot to win it all this year

It’s been one preseason game. Let’s wait until at least end of the second before throwing all of our depth under the bus. We’ve got a lot of injuries right now so hopefully come 2nd and 3rd preseason game we’ll see everyone’s best. I bet our 53 man roster will be just as good or better than it has been in years past (outside of safety) BUT if we look this bad after week 3 of preseason and cut day is fast approaching I may jump on board with you lol

Agree with all of it but fixed the Shakir part. Also impressed with Rousseau in his limited action. And I love Hamlers explosiveness. He needs to make the team because he has a skill set no one else does. -

Hope they give D Jones a true chance at one of the LB spots. If healthy he’d be great to have in case of injury especially come playoff time -

They were bright spots first half. Shakir has that clutch get open gene I love. Thought Hamler looked super explosive outside of one bad bobble return. He brings something we don’t have want to see him go deep in the second half and put to rest this MVS talk. Rousseau looked awesome for the limited time he was on the field. Douglas didn’t lose a step. Want to see Davidson second half -

Hopefully they don’t keep him on the active roster just for this. Practice squad or sayonara imo…we don’t need Gabe Davis 2.0 -

And yet no change at coordinator…Mr Smiley keeps smiling -
And they both fill positions of need. Backup slot corner with versatility to play outside and WR who can take the top off the defense and is a nightmare with the ball in his hands. Can’t wait to see how they both do tomorrow since right now it’s all just speculation.

Milton is garbage don’t fall for the preseason hype. He’s got a canon but has never shown he can make progressions. Hes a long term project imo that may never get there. More athletic Cardelle Jones imo
-
I have a feeling both Hamler and Hardy make the roster. They both should
-
Man I love our quarterback. They need to pay him whatever he wants as soon as he wants it make it a forever contract.
-
I like the energy he brings to the team but I agree talent and production trumps attitude. We have Josh Allen and 8 years of the same coaching regime in place. If Hollins is one of the best 6 then he should stay if he’s not then don’t cut a guy like Hamler or claypool over him. But saying all that he does so many of the little things right I’m sure he makes it even if it is as the 5th WR playing special teams
-
Love the depth at a lot of positions but a Rapp/Hamlin safety tandem is a problem. Two guys with no sense of coverage. They fly all over trying to make the big hit every play. Don’t like it
-
Agreed he couldn’t have said it better. Josh is the best
