  1. Wilson is killing them. Maybe consider some double coverage?
  2. Might be time to put Shakir in. Davis and McKenzie are doing nothing. I know they don’t like to play rookies, but the WR play can’t get much worse besides Diggs.
  3. After Diggs, this is a very weak receiver group. Davis has talent, but he is very inconsistent.
  4. Additionally, many of the OL starters missed much of camp.
  5. I understand that the Bills could not afford (cap) to bring in a high price get. I am not a huge Kadarius Toney fan, but I liked that move by the Chiefs. I don’t know who could have been had (maybe nobody), but it is game over if Diggs goes down. Now, probably would be anyway even if they had brought someone in by trade. However, if Davis gets hurt again, who can play? Not McKenzie or Kumerow.
  6. Hines is ok and can maybe be a better punt and kick returner than Bills currently have (though I thought Shakir was fine returning punts). Is he any better than Cook or just more experienced? For a team that doesn't run the ball much, another RB is an "interesting" acquisition. Also, note that this team has zero RBs that could be described as "short-yardage" backs. That is an area the team is pretty deficient in.
  7. Well, you are right that McKenzie can't be trusted. When I look at this receiver group it is 80% Diggs, 20% Davis and a bunch of nobodies. I thought that Shakir would have gotten more opportunities by now, but the fact that he can't bump McKenzie from the lineup makes for a scary situation.
  8. Lottery ticket for a veteran NFL backup that knows the system. OK, I guess.
  9. Fringe player for fringe player. Maybe a more reliable punt returner and kick returner.
  10. Coming off a torn ACL, I wouldn't shell out much for him, nor would I expect much either. He won't be "the old OBJ" playing only a few games this year with no training camp. I *would* like the Bills to get another WR who can play out wide in case Diggs or Davis get hurt again, but I don't know who they could get that would be any good AND would fit under the cap. Nice if they could nab a WR who had potential coming out of college recently, but hasn't put it together wherever they are so far. If you could nab a guy like that, he could be a long-term investment instead of just a vet that you trade for or sign completely expecting him to be gone after the season. I thought the Chiefs' trade for Kadarius Toney was a good gamble.
  11. Syracuse should go back and play in a conference where they can compete. Despite their winning streak to start the season, they are over-matched against the "big boy" teams. They can't recruit the level of talent that they need to play against top-25 teams on a regular basis. Maybe they will prove me wrong, but I think they will be limping through the rest of the schedule. I just don't know how anyone looked at that team and said "hey, they are a top-20 team in the country".
  12. Brown is a young, huge, athletic RT. He is a bit raw and it hurt him to miss most of of off-season and training camp due to back surgery. I think Brown’s upside is pretty high and he is worth developing.
  13. It was an option and McKenzie was the option. He HAS to catch that. He wasn’t even looking.
  14. McKenzie should get the Jams Cook treatment and sit the rest of the game. HAVE to be ready for that ball.
  15. I would actually sit players against KC unless the Bills are nearly full-strength. I don't see an offense where Davis is still hobbled and Knox is hobbled and they can't run the ball being able to keep up with KC. Just find a way to beat the Steelers and let guys get healthy by sitting out the KC game that they would be long-shots to win anyway.
  16. They have had zero continuity on the OL since camp opened. So many missed time in camp, the presumed starters hardly played preseason, injurie during first 4 games have also prevented getting their game together. That being said, I don’t think they will ever be a top half of the league run blocking unit with the personnel they currently have.
  17. I agree, Stevenson has made no noise anywhere except for fumbling a punt or two. If he shows anything, i would be pleasantly surprised.
