  1. No way I'd take Bradford, for a multitude of reasons. Build the lines first
  2. what about that comeback win vs. MSU?
  3. I thought he got released due to weight one yr, then came back then retired, oh well
  4. Gilbert from GB, cant remember his full name, he was released due to weight, got a yr off but I believe he was picked up after that.
  5. Hey man, Im not sayin he's a great Qb right now, I just think he's the best of this class, long term. He feels the same way about Bradford.
  6. Im only 27, I never saw any of them play, my mistake, I was unaware we ever had any black qbs.
  7. I know all about Brown (WVU fan), I like him alot as a long term project. 6-4 223, NFL arm, very quick release, good mobility (escapability) 1 yr starter sat behind pat white, but played his 1 yr in a prostyle offense. Will Need time to learn the NFL game, very good attitude, projects as a quality starter in the Pros with proper coaching. I personally think Lefevour will be a great player and is less of a project. However, the only thing that stops me from thinking we wouldnt take Brown is that Ralph has yet to ever sign off on an African american Qb, sad but true. Maybe that will change this year, but you are right Brown is a good long term project.
  8. I saw him play alot of college ball too. The kid has very good skills leadership wise, very high football intelligence, he's a good player. Of course if you want to call out small school players, I guess we should've never drafted Andre Reed (kutztown). My point was that Lefevour adjusted well to taking under center snaps better than the other QB's at the senior bowl that played in a spread. Something Bradford will have to do as well. If you're a clausen guy, he's got a clear advantage being the most proready guy that came from a prostyle offense and played under center mostly. If Not then look at the guys below the top 2, Lefevour and Jarrett Brown are the next 2 best guys, but regardless, EVERY QB IN THIS CLASS is a project guy. From what I saw of Lefevour, he's got the tools, talent, and brains to be a very good pro, if you want a big arm guy, take brown and sit him till he's ready(1-3 yrs).
  9. Mitchell is slated to play ILB, harris and ellison will be hard pressed to even be on the roster B/c neither really fits the 3-4, ellis' only shot to make the team is at olb. What I meant was that the draft is deeper at ILB than OLB, so taking an OLB, Norwood, earlier would be wiser than a ILB. Plus there's always the possibility that schobel makes the transition to OLB. right now our line up at lb looks to be Maybin pox mitchell and scobel, but with schobel retiring in the near future, and mitchell being a mid level player, we would be wise to get both positions filled with young guys to supplant them eventually.
  10. Not really, he's been the best riser of the Qb class this year, a decent week of practice, that saw him adjust to under center better than any other spread QB at the senior bowl, then the MVP of the game itself, he's alot more than hype.
  11. Spikes plays ILB in the 3-4 not OLB. Norwood was a great player on a mid-level team, many times he was the focus of the opposition, so yeah they were games where he was taken out of the action, but regardless, if he were available, he would be a great guy to put opposite Maybin, spikes would be great to line up next to poz too, However, I think there is more depth at ILB than OLB. either would be a great pick. Id like to get norwood early and Johnson later
  12. Norwood was setting sack records at SC. He's the SEC's active leader in sacks and tackles for loss. Played in all 49 games over the last 3 yrs, thats sounds pretty consistent to me.
  13. so this coaching staff has a total of 140 yrs nfl experience, thats a bad thing? also, you can incorporate the c2 with a 3-4, esp if you drop either the ILB or OLb into coverage, OLb can help cover the flats, nothing is definite, the 3-4 would allow for more disguised coverage.
  14. yeah but where as Lefevour is projected as a 2-3 rd pick robinson has moved past the 5th until this guys mock, if anything it would be cluasen, bradford, Lefevour, brown, pike, snead, robinson, mccoy, tebow, etc
  15. Thats very disappointing, Makes me wonder about him. Part of the combine is throwing to foreign recievers, the same thing he did at the Senior Bowl, I don't see why this would be so different. oh well, I Guess we'll see what he does at the proday
  16. It was a picture of jesus on the cross with him saying "BRB" and the girl on the ground below him saying "LOL", it was not intended to be offensive, more of a commentary on todays society, but as usual somebody had to find it offensive, so I went back to Deadpool, although I thought about putting up the donte stallworth nascar pic I have here's the jesus pic: jesus here's the stallworth pic: stallworth's Nascar you can decide if either one Is offensive, I personally do not think either is bad.
  17. Aside from robinson in the 3rd, its not bad, robinson is nowhere near a 3rd rd grade at this point, esp over Lefevour and Snead.
  18. Can we please stop using that term retread, its called experience, if he didnt have any HC exp. then he'd be a rookie HC, the hot new Coordinator on the block, BTW how did that work out for us (Mularky/greggo). Gailey got fired by egomaniac todd haley right before the season, that plays a big part in why he wasnt on our radar. The defense changing to a 3-4 shouldnt affect the coverage scheme, they will still be in a cover 2 shell, if anything,, the increased pressure created by the 3-4 allignment (supposedly) would create more opportunities for the secondary to make plays. Edwards successfully converted miami from a 4-3 to 3-4 he can do it here too.
  19. yeah campbell has been put thru the ringer with all the OC's and playbooks he had to learn, it's gotta suck for him. But he has the skills, if he can stay in the same system for some extended period of time he can be a very good player, unfortunately, we have yet to see that come to fruition, so right now he looks like a glorified backup.
  20. It's a new day in the decision making department remember. Guy is gone, so maybe now somebody will have a different view of what jones can bring. This draft is really deep on Dlineman, I dont think this team will throw 10mil at wilfork or hampton, both look like they may get franchised, so we will probably see 2 guys taken in the draft, I like thomas and williams.
  21. I believe thats why fine was released instead of schouman, schouman is known as a better blocker, so Nelson will prob be our flex reciever TE, but he still needs to improve his blocking. Either way, he's a dangerous receiver and hopefully this new staff will be able to utilize his talent to spread the field.
  22. I thought he was on the pro squash circuit or ping pong or something, he's def. not playing football anymore. Besides, I doubt he wants to stop puffing the magic dragon for the season.
  23. I think this is a sign of ralph handing the reigns to the men he trusts, he trusts russ to oversee Buddy, whom he also trusts, Buddy brought in chan who obviously feels the need to have several specialized coaches to maximize the teams potential. They all have their departments, and I think it will be better this way.
  24. Peerless Price jeff posey
  25. Maybe bell can move to RT
