  1. I have a friend who likes to get really upset about fracking. Whenever I try to ask him what he's worried will happen I never get an answer. I mean, he responds and throws around some gag-inducing platitudes and cries about "raping mother earth" but I've never gotten a straight answer as to what horrors await us as a result of fracking. Maybe OP can enlighten us?
  2. Sounds like someone's jealous about their thunder being stolen.
  3. Horse ****. Injury concerns were a part of the equation from the word go. It's also worth noting that the Saints defense sucked ass for the first few games he was there and got better when he went out. Funny how our run D & overall D got better when he left. Unless you think someone here actually wishes we'd paid his ridiculous salary you don't know what "sour grapes" means.
  4. People were stating as absolute fact that he was being low balled and the FO wouldn't pay what he "deserved" and that the they should do "whatever it takes" to retain him. It got pretty !@#$ing stupid.
  5. Well, I guess every dark cloud has a silver lining.
  6. What's funny is half your base actually believes this bull ****.
  7. Then why is he still starting games years after both of them are out of the league?
  8. If you're looking for something light, The League is great. I don't think it's on Netflix right now, but the first 5 or 6 season's are on Amazon prime.
  9. It's worth noting that he & Clowney were teammates.
  10. Anyone who gives aid to The Frozen Fu©ktards Will have their invitation to my tailgate party revoked. And punch & pie will be served. If someone can work out a deal for a reasonable QB & TE you may get into the VIP RV (hookers & blow).
  11. Hell, I wouldn't make the trade for a starting Arab. I mean really, name one Arabian RB to put up a 30 point performance.
  12. Goodwin ought to be good for a 40 yd TD.
  13. If I were really hard pressed I might consider the Chewbacca defense.
  14. It's a formidable group. W/o Watkins it's no longer a strength, but it's still as good or better than the crew we trotted out during the Fitz years. Let's just hope the running game picks up some of the slack. The defense has its work cut out.
  15. That's your theory for why tuition has been skyrocketing over the last 2 decades?
  16. I hope & pray the DNC takes the same head in the sand approach to this.
  17. To be fair, I'd say he only did that the second time. This was his platform the first time: Vote For Pedro:
  18. How embarrassing is it that your party sucks so hard that the opposition can win soundly with the platform "We're not those guys."
  19. Let's hope not. The only thing worse than a Republican supermajority is a Democrat supermajority. "Getting things done" in government is highly overrated. Imagine a big corporation that has a bunch of egomaniacs running the show. Now imagine that corporation has direct control over you and you have no choice as to whether to do business with them, no say in their decisions, and the customer service motto is "go !@#$ yourself." Now imagine there's no one running interference when they think of new and creative ways to charge you more and give you less. That's about the reality of a supermajority. Would ya?
  20. Yeah? Well you're not invited to my tailgate party. Looks like you made a new friend.
  21. Along the lines of shows like The Wire, Sons of Anarchy, and Breaking Bad, I highly recommend The Shield. It's one you have to start at the beginning and watch in order, but it's one of the best TV dramas I've ever seen. It's gritty without being blatantly gratuitous (SOA) and touches on the human element of good people going bad, but more subtly and artfully than Breaking Bad. The best part, IMO, is that the good guys aren't always good, they don't always escape unscathed, and when they do it's because they did something intelligent, not because of dumb luck like we see all too often in shows and movies.
  22. I'm sure they can dig up a community organizer or bingo hall coordinator who can read a speech. Qualifications don't matter for them. The media will carry their water.
  23. Bledsoe could get you to the post season. He didn't get us there, but then it is a team game.
