  1. I'll start taking the climate change crowd seriously when they start taking themselves seriously. When anyone proposes a solution that will have an appreciable impact on global CO2 levels then we can discuss that. In the meantime it's just another way to expand government under false pretenses.
  2. I don't really understand the question. How could I blame AM users for the actions of the hackers?
  3. Perhaps, but I think you have two different types of movements going on here. The Sanders movement is an ideological one. the Trump movement is more of an anti-establishment rebellion within the party - It's more about attitude than policy
  4. Does anyone else kinda feel like these hackers should be shot? I'm dead serious. To insert yourself into the affairs of others with no intimate knowledge of the individual circumstances of those involved, particularly when your actions can have life-altering effects on people you don't even know is inexcusable.
  5. They don't understand basic economics and their political views have been collectively shaped by pop culture rather than any intellectual decision making based on an understanding of the issues. He promises a unicorn in every driveway, and his supporters so passionately desire a world where every family has a unicorn that they can't bring themselves to face the logistical impossibility of it all.
  6. I find Michelle Malkin suitable for sexual activity too. Even moreso than Megyn Kelly. That's partially because I'm racist though.
  7. I'm not trying to pick a fight. I get that. I'm not suggesting the government or someone else should do anything about it. Just pointing out that it's an unfortunate situation with a lot of people facing a lot of hardship for doing what they thought would enable them to earn a living.
  8. I actually think Biden's their best bet. Sure, he makes dumbass comments, like noting the scarcity of articulate black guys that bathe, but even then he still comes off as an honest and likeable guy - the exact opposite of Hill dog.
  9. I'm a little behind the news cycle, but that comment about wiping the server with a cloth may be the worst gaffe made by a high profile politician during my life. There's no positive spin that can be put on it. It is blatantly dishonest. It would require the willing suspension of disbelief to believe she was being genuine. And even if you do believe she was being genuine, it necessarily means she's a grossly incompetent dunce. And she can't claim she was joking because 1. it didn't sound like a joke, 2. it would be highly inappropriate, and 3. would indicate both terrible judgment and terrible comedic delivery. If she were a Republican that statement would have been the end of her. And there would be wall to wall mockery throughout all facets of media.
  10. I understand your point, but I'm not sure what you're disagreeing with. Are you saying that it's wonderfully hilarious that these people's sacrifices and efforts have landed them in financial quicksand because they didn't do a better prospective risk analysis?
  11. It's really not all that funny. These are mostly people in their 20s who busted their ass in school for 7 years amassing huge sums of student loan debt so they could become qualified for a career. Now they have this inescapable, ever growing mountain of debt with payments coming due and entry level jobs are hard to come by. A lot of responsible hard working people are finding themselves in a helpless, often hopeless place with no light at the end of the tunnel. It's actually a terrible situation.
  12. I would too. I think RG3 is like a Ferrari with a bent frame. You can try to fix it up to drive around, but it's never going to perform right again. Also, at least EJ still has hope of getting better. And has an infinitely better attitude.
  13. I heard a caller on DC sports talk this morning suggest the Redskins should try to trade RG3 to the Bills for Manuel.
  14. You're stuck in your own logical conundrum. If he's not that good why would anyone give up a 1st? And if he is that good, why would we want to go into the season without him?
  15. By attributing something to his policies that you just said you don't actually believe are attributable to his policies. Dumb ass.
  16. You just admitted to being intentionally dishonest in order to give credit to Obama.
  17. A deference to authority argument? Is that the best you got? BTW, who are the brilliant constitutional scholars you're citing, and could you summarize the analysis of a few of them?
  18. All of which is irrelevant to any point you've made on the topic. Congress has been granted the power to legislate the rules of naturalization. That power was limited by the 14th, but all matters not mandated or prohibited by the 14th are still subject to Congressional discretion. The matter of birthright citizenship for the offspring of illegals is not accounted for by the 14th, and as such, the matter is left to Congress. Thus far Congress has chosen to recognize citizenship for anchor babies, but there's nothing in the constitution that prevents it from changing that policy. I'm sure this has all gone over your head, but then I didn't write it for your benefit. I wrote it for anyone else who genuinely wanted to understand it.
  19. Death's Dealers just took a hard hit with Jordy Nelson headed to IR.
  20. Dig it. I don't share your economic outlook (I understand the desired outcome but don't see how it can realistically be achieved), but I have a great deal more respect for the true Bernie supporters than I do for rank and file Democrat hacks.
  21. I can't say I've never heard anyone espouse such a thing, but if I have I certainly can't recall it. I've heard people advocate for the abolition of income tax and/or property tax - positions that are not inconsistent with supporting state funded roads - but never a wholesale abolition of taxes generally.
  22. 1. Congress doesn't amend the constitution; amendments have to be ratified by the states. 2. Even if it did, the 14th still doesn't say what you claim it does.
  23. I was referring more to the current practice where someone says something deemed offensive and then a handful of activists aided by the media pressure companies to cancel/fire/boycott the speaker.
