  1. I'll let him speak for himself, but I think the point flew over your head.
  2. Also, after having 2 nights to sleep on it I like it even less. Doug Whaley can kiss my ass.
  3. I'd rarely considered such a thing in the past, but I'm starting to wonder. I stopped in at the official site (a real shithole, btw) and I think that one's definitely manipulated, even in the way it's moderated. It's much better here, but it wouldn't surprise me if the Bills PR department had a few plants making the rounds on private sites. It makes sense to use social media to influence opinion.
  4. It's a fine analogy. Not all analogies are meant to mirror the entire situation, some are to shed light on one specific, often nuanced, aspect of it.
  5. Is defending Whaley your new crusade?
  6. That's not the proper use of that term. Don't feel too bad, despite having a fairly simple and straightforward meaning it is often misused.
  7. But you forgot the most important one: White. Take er easy there, Mr. Trump.
  8. Yeah, somehow all that rah rah stuff's just falling a little flat right now. Well said. No matter how I see it rationalized it still feels like a slap in the face.
  9. TT's gonna take this itty bitty world by storm
  10. Don't tell anyone, but I've done the same thing.
  11. Because it has no bearing on anything of consequence in any of our lives. It's something that we choose to treat as important for its entertainment value, but it makes no more logical sense than us staking our emotional well being on which and farm in the back yard prevails in an and war.
  12. It's amusing to me how some here scoff at emotional reactions rather than purely rational ones. WTF is remotely rational about grown men cheering for a football team?
  13. Because if Fred was on the team it would be the equivalent of bringing back Fitz.
  14. Now that I've had a chance to sleep in it I still don't like it. I know a lot of people only care about the jersey, but it's kind of hard for me to get as into it when the only player on offense that's been around for more than 2-3 years is a lineman.
  15. I've been on the upper deck of that stadium and I remember standing at that rail feeling really creeped out. I don't do well with heights anyway, but I couldn't believe that little rail was the only barrier to that steep of a drop. I wasn't at all surprised by the story. I'm kind of surprised it doesn't happen more often.
  16. I don't care to debate the merits of this decision; it just sucks to wake up and see that your favorite player's off the team.
  17. I'll vouch for JC. When I first started posting I disagreed with every other thing he said. Sadly, I eventually (and grudgingly) had to concede he turned out to be right more often than not.
  18. This reminds me of how I felt when we lost that game to the Pats* after being up 2 scores in the final minutes when Leodis fumbled on the return.
  19. Like most leftists you don't understand the philosophy you rail against and you cast it in a greedy, mean-spirited light, presumably to make you feel more secure in your own panaceatic world view. The problem with your alternative isn't just that it's morally flawed, but that it doesn't work. I've asked all my Bernie Sanders supporting commie friends to point to an example of Democratic Socialism of the variety you're promoting being a success and so far it's crickets.
  20. It sucked. I wouldn't have wanted to block or go across the middle 2-4 weeks later, but I could have run at top speed in a straight line without too much trouble. Fitz and Watkins played with broken ribs.
  21. WRT Goodwin - Unless his ribs are shattered I'd think he'd be ok. We're pretty deep at WR so it's not like we need him to be an every down player, the season doesn't start for a couple of weeks so he has a little time to mend, and you could still put him in for spot duty on fly routes here and there for the first few weeks even with cracked ribs.
  22. Rhonda Rousey is the ultimate domination fantasy because she's kinda hot, has a nice body, and could have her way with you even if you didn't let her.
