  1. Real question: can mods just swap it to a reasonable one and then he can edit if he wants still?
  2. My man.... another Tyrod thread from you?
  3. If you add losing a season out of the gate to lack of consistent pass rush— it’ll be hard for him to be great value unless he steps up his game. I wouldn’t say full on bust if he can be really excellent situationally though.
  4. Might be a little overstated there, Robert. im not arguing that it’s end all be all or that 70 vs 77 is hugely impactful... but over halfway through the season having it lower than heaving the ball into the 8th row is indicative of the fact that he’s giving up nearly nothing to opposing teams AND creating turnovers.
  5. I think a valid point but rolling off 6 straight is a feat in this league, even against teams that are on the weaker end of the spectrum. We dropped ugly games against Carolina from that run— and the jets aren’t great. i don’t think the saints are ELITE but they are a good team and handling business. We will see how they respond to the weather and how we rebound from the loss... game could break either way. On a neutral site 10 times, they probably win 6-7 times at this crossroad. In buffalo- probably close to a coin flip
  6. The other amazing stat is that qb rating against him is lower than qb rating just throwing the ball away.
  7. Drew goes from top 3 to more like top 10 — not sure that’s mediocre. There’s a drop but it’s not near as large as the reputation
  8. That’ll be tough. As much as we love whites rookie campaign, I saw a graphic going into today’s game that QB rating throwing at lattimore is lower than the rating on intentional throw aways. the saints are a good team but on the road in the northeast this is a chance to steal a win we shouldn’t normally get
  9. Or if looking at your skill set you see that you dont have some of those ultra premiere shots then maybe you look at those rounds and think you are more 80s and you got lucky in the early rounds with a good up and down from the deep rough and a few putts you dont expect to regularly make Turnovers are great and our ball control likewise very good but we definitely need a pass rush answer, and a reliable RB2, and hopefully KB is the WR1. We could still go either way from here but it feels like we are a middle of the pack team that was overachieving
  10. Im not a big fan of the phrase must win but this feels like itll be a tipping point Hopefully all those vets we brought in really get the locker room bought in at this point and the team shows up. The Carolina guys have history with the saints too - which might help up the energy all week
  11. Truly as a team that wants to hang its hat on grinding out tough games its odd that we didnt do more to have a viable RB2 or better front 7 on defense.
  12. H&H were relatively known quantities Poyer is the real shocker Holmes hasnt done near enough to make this type of list imo. He has 11 catches at less than 9 ypc (sub 100 yards) and many here thought he could be a #2.
  13. He probably isnt going to kill any kids in the street. Id bet its among the safest spots a kid could go for Halloween
  14. It would, essentially, be trading those three for Benjamin. Which is a huge win still... but I agree they wont do it to avoid upsetting the balance and atmosphere we seem to have (well, that and no gm does this ever despite a full offseason talking about the big week 9 cuts)
  15. I think hed still call you soft. This thread isnt going how you thought, eh? Its a pretty basic comment from a guy in MDs position. No big deal.
  16. Because holmes is now 4 at best, Davis a backup and some here think the drop from ducasse to Miller/groy is minimal at worst It is not going to happen realistically but on paper alone its not terrible
  17. Unless the story floated out is true. Its plausible. Its not a huge deal though as both are going to show up 110% The only concern is if the evaluations were wrong, not whether they are bff
  18. What if thats part of the process and you are messing with it?!?
  19. If I told you that todays trade was Benjamin for holmes, ducasse and whoever the third guy would be i bet youd be ecstatic. That said, its stoll very unlikely
  20. Frankly Ive never seen a GM do this and thought it was odd to expect. In theory Id probably say make the move but in reality its never super viable at this juncture
  21. No he took us to having a viable nfl group. Tboughwe have a large number of guys of similar quality to Holmes. Its holmes, ducasse and who else to get tbe3rd?
  22. A fair point. Unbelievably dumb on their part. The owner should be demanding answers and likely get someones head for this.
  23. Surprised- that means he had a late first or lower on sammy? If so I think that likely explains the trade in August more than attitude. Would be very insightful into what his prototype wr is.
  24. Hes not my favorite but hes a good option. Id rather pay sammy but at least we aggressively addressed the hole. So it ends up being: Sammy, cardale and a 3 For Benjamin, Gaines and a 2 I think the add ons make up for the drop from Sammy to KB
