  1. I'll just say this -- the 1990 Bills went to Miami in W2 and got their asses handed to them. I'm NOT comparing the teams -- merely pointing out that hiccups do occur. The problem with last week's game is that it was so over-hyped. If the Bills had simply "done their jobs" and not gotten caught up in all of the hype maybe some of those penalties aren't committed and it is a different game.

I've had the same thought the past couple of days, maybe in part b/c it seems like this year's team has the talent to compete with any team in the league, in my opinion. They just need to play smarter and they can be a playoff team.

  2. Soloman is our guy!!! I think the Beeeels will win this one.

Breaking news: I'm not going to participate in any of these other threads ("Rex Sucks" "Tyrod Sucks" "Quarter Billion Dollar Embarassment" "Ralph's Ghost Cost Us the Game" etc)..My God. Get a grip and stop overanalyzing this stuff. We got outplayed. We'll move on to the Fish. Should be a great game...our D line likes Tanneyhill.

Agree on the overreactions. We handily beat last season's AFC championship loser, and lose by in touchdown to the reigning Super Bowl champs. This in spite of numerous penalties, sacks and turnovers, mostly mental mistakes which can be corrected. Tyrod probably saw certain defensive formations for the first time today and will hopefully know how to react better next time. In the meantime, the Dolphins should be very beatable compared against the Pats if the Bills don't have a let down next week.

  3. Kraft sounds like he really believes Brady is telling him the truth. If cell phone records prove otherwise , Kraft will look like a fool.

I sure hope the 2 equipment guys didn't sign a do not talk agreement when fired. Would have to be a heck of a severance package but possible.

They'll be quiet until that flow of money dries up, then we will be sure to hear the real story via 60 minutes or some best seller.

  4. I wish posters would stop making stuff up to fit their points of view;

    1. Marrone did not trade for him, front office did.

    2. Not a team has signed him; I have not even heard a report that he was even visited any teams.

Agreed. I don't get some people's fixation on the guy. I'd love to hear posters' theories on why Mikey hasn't been signed yet by anyone if he's still any good.

  5. I've never even been on ppp. In fact, I've never even seen or looked for the link. I waste way too much of my time on here as it is. At least on here, every once in a blue moon, you can construct an argument in a manner that can lead people to change the way they think about things. I've worked in corporate America and debated conservatives for hours on end. It is futile for them as well as myself. Here is an argument I witnessed in the office once that sums up conservatives and their unwillingness to budge: guy #1: being gay is not a choice that people make. Guy #2: yes it is. Guy #1: hey gay guy, come here for a second. Did you ever decide to be gay or were you born the way you are. Gay guy: of course the latter. Guy #2: sorry, I don't believe you. Now what in the world can be gained from debating with someone like that? I've found it much more enjoyable and certainly much less frustrating to just sit back and make fun of people I disagree with politically with those whom I agree with rather than try and engage those with whom I will never see eye to eye. Which isn't to say that there aren't certain issues where I do agree with conservatives, but on those I don't, going on ppp certainly isn't gonna turn me into a birther or a gravity denier or whatever your cause d'jour is, much the same way I'm not gonna turn you into a tree hugger or one who sympathizes with the less fortunate or believes scientists over rush limbaugh. So let's keep it to football.

I've always thought whether the former or latter for how someone lives their life, why does it even matter?

  6. I wasn't a fan of Jay Leno's Tonight Show, but I don't doubt for a second that he's missed. "Not understanding" why the immensely popular and successful Jon Stewart will be missed upon retirement from the Daily Show is a pretty big red flag that something else is at play than comedy criticism--- especially when it comes from a poster known for loudly espousing conservative political takes when unnecessary.

  7. NFL did the right thing IMO. If they knew about it and let them play with the tampered balls it convicts them on the spot. If they said "oh hey, btw, we think you might be tampering with the balls so we are going to check them before the game, at half time and after the game to see if the PSI was altered", none of this would have come to light.

This doesn't stain the NFL, it stains the Pats*/Brady. If the NFL doesn't punish them justly, then the NFL is going to take a big hit.

The point of the article was that Walt Coleman did notice the balls mysteriously went missing before the game, yet still let the first half play out without checking the pressure in the balls right away. Coleman did let the Pats play with tampered balls.

  8.

I just don't see us having much success keeping them off the scoreboard... They have a bona fide stud at QB who just keeps getting better..Reliable targets in Moncrief, Fleener, T.Y., and now Andre Johson... An HC they play their hearts out for on a weekly basis.

Who's our QB?? -Does anyone even know? Our HC seems more interested in smack-talk with former players than anything else.. I can't predict the future, but it just looks like a LOOONNNGGG freekin' day... Hopefully you guys are right and I'm wrong.

If this D can slow down Aaron Rodgers and his offense, I think they have it in them to slow down any QB in the league. And I do think Luck is on his way to being one of the best in the league.
  9. People are over thinking this. Eagles were shopping McCoy.

Bills were interested at the right price. The draft pick were prized because of the situation.

Bill saw McCoy as more valuable to them than kiko, and the Eagles saw kiko as more valuable to them than McCoy.

These deals are based on decisions in marginal variances not absolutes like, chip doesn't like McCoy and Rex doesn't like kiko.

Edit: trades should be thought of more as relative arbitrage plays.

I'm not sure people are even debating the same thing.
