  1. Did you read the op's 1st post? If you did, this question you ask is pretty stupid. Ohhhh, sarcasm?! My bad.

Stop it, if you read the 1st post you would know what the debate really is. I know you read the 1st one, so you know what he is referring to. Do you also correct someone who uses to instead of too?

Is the OP's theory that the evidence in the Pats first two games shows that deflated footballs make it harder for lost fumbles to be recovered? Or that the deflated footballs are fumbled more? Both? Or is he not trying to make any argument, just stating facts? From later posts, it is sounding like the OP is theorizing both, but I didn't ask for your input on the OP's intentions.

While the sample size is way too small to make any conclusions on any theory, it is still interesting to consider the theories out there, lmo.

  2. Anyone think that Rex is setting up Belicheck for the 2nd meeting/playoffs?

Seriously, I understand how whacky this sounds, so no need to say it, and I'm not necessarily saying I'm considering this as a possibility. But did this thought cross anyone else's mind?

A week 2 win against Bill and Co. while showing your hand and throwing the kitchen sink in an all out effort to win isn't so great if you lose the 2nd meeting and/or playoffs.

Could Rex be going with the long con?

The only reason this thought even entered my head was because playing the DB's off the WR's all game when NE was throwing 95% short passes legitimately makes zero sense, even to people like us.

And I'm not suggesting Rex intentionally threw the game, just that he tried something different/played vanilla/tried to lull Belicheck into a false sense of having the upper hand going forward. We still almost came back and won.

I had not thought of this, but THAT WOULD TOTALLY REDEEM REX!

  3. this is a true story. i'm sitting right there first row at the front pylon. it was a TD and he ripped it out of his hand at the last moment. the play before they ran the slant and Chandler dropped it (pass was a tad high but in a place only Chandler could catch it). next play he faked the slant and did the fade to the corner and AW was beat but recovered and played the ball well. it was definitely the Pats being cocky and trying to get Chandler a TD to rub it in. great play

Yea, it was nice to see Chandler be Mr. Non-clutch for the Pats instead of us.
