  1. I wonder what Bucky thinks of Eagles fans.
  2. Exactly right. Brady was a very good college QB and he was in fact better than DH. True he was not exactly exuding athleticism but as you say he was big. Also he always had excellent intangibles and leadership skills. For Brady himself the bottom fell out when he was not taken in the third round, which is where he thought he would go. Based on what he did at Michigan I too have a hard time understanding why he was still there after the third.
  3. All things considered Tyrod did about as well as any reasonable person could possibly expect. That's the real takeaway IMO. His command of the offence and the action seemed at times tenuous but this is his first game as a pro with a bunch of talented but unfamiliar pieces that have been thrown together in a new offence without much practice time together. Around after the bye I expect this guy may have to start writing even more positive articles, tho as a Patsfan it will probably make him sick to do so.
  4. Just as the Colts were successful with it in the second half (albeit perhaps with the Bills giving the cushion to eat the clock and prevent quick scores). In Rex I trust (in this case). If he can't scheme to beat Brady, Belly and the Pats no one can.
  5. It's obvious you know nothing about Italian moda. The best has always been extremely conservativo. The same can be said about the best French, British and American clothes. I'm hoping Tyrod's taste changes after he signs his 100 million dollar deal with Buffalo in a few years after he leads the Bills to a world championship.
  6. Not what I would choose for myself. He could do a lot better IMO. However he can wear whatever he wants (especially if he is good at football).
  7. He's small, he's (pretty much always) hurt, he's hardly a great receiver by any stretch of the imagination. He's maybe a notch above TJ Graham and that's pretty much it. Lots of guys are fast.
  8. Tyrod gets huge support from the guys who actually play the game, including both current and former players, some big name guys like Ray Lewis. Nate Burleson says the week one matchup he is most interested in is Bills/Colts because of the QB matchup. He gives Tyrod high marks. Michael Robinson insists Tyrod has what it takes to succeed. He is unequivocal in his view.I think they know what they are talking about and I have more confidence in their opinions than I do that of bean counters and media types who have never seen the field or been in a huddle.
  9. He gonna be good just like Russell.
  10. 16/22 for 217 26 rushing yards 2 Passing TD No Int 1 fumble (recovered by Bills) Bills win 31-24
  11. True of course, unless Judge Berman knew Kraft was going to be there, in which case IMO it signifies a lack of, what's the word, judgement.
  12. Wonder what Judge Berman was doing partying with Robert Kraft in the Hampton's over the weekend. Not saying the judge was, what's the word, bias, but probably not the best form nevertheless.
  13. EJ will not be traded IMO. His contract is fully guaranteed and is a sunk cost. I agree with those who say his trade value is at best a 5th, probably worse. I don't see Whaley going for that. I think EJ still has more value as a prospect than a late round selection. Bills will continue to evaluate him and if he can build on his good PSeason showing things could open up for him as early as next year.
  14. Great stuff. QB position group as a whole much better off with him than without. He can mentor the other two and he is serviceable to play if needed.
  15. On a par with the "what happened to Andre Davis" thriller. The two might even have a common thread.
  16. Eddie would always seem to be either the batterer or the batteree. His game was physical for sure either way. I remember his showdowns with Ray Lewis.I didn't realize Eddie had the footspeed of Karlos but I always thought of him as a pretty savvy runner. I suspect Karlos is one cut and go. Interesting comparison tho.
  17. I agree Rex is the best at this sort of thing. I guess rolling coverage with help from a safety over the top would help since that way at least the play would be in front of Darby. He seems to me to have the most trouble when his back is to the LOS on deeper routes.
  18. I have nightmare visions of a great white shark with an ugly Amish beard zeroing in on a piece of chum wearing a Bills uni #28. It's about the most unequal matchup I can imagine. I think the Bills may be good enuf to beat Indy straight up, let alone the line but Darby is singlehandedly capable of changing that in a split second. How many years did it take McKelvin to learn how to turn his head? For sure Rex will have to come up with something - or else.
  19. I think it's possible that the Tyrod announcement and the Fred announcement may be tied by more than coincidence and PR. Fred is still one of the best pass blocking backs in the league. I wonder if they would have cut him if the decision would have been to start Matt Cassell instead of Tyrod?
  20. Bingo. And there may even be associated team chemistry issues and a perceived advantage to setting a new direction. Sometimes that means breaking with the past. There was never any doubt who was physically the top dog in the backfield, now there is no doubt psychologically. The Bills are not the same team without Fred and I'm sure thats something they had to be aware of. Add in the fact that, though he can still play, Fred is a 34 year old running back going on 35 and is expensive and you get what you get.
  21. His head has always been up his posterior. He's an entitled brat. Great college QB though. Won the Heisman I believe. Redskins are the sink hole of the league and a colossal tire fire.
  22. I agree with most of this. It did look like something of a cheap shot to me but the game of football generates lots of big nasty impacts, some of them legal, some borderline and some cheap. You've got to have durability to play this game. MG has none, or in any event not nearly enough. He's really not a good candidate for a roster spot in this position group on this team IMO. I wish him well in his career in track. He's a world class athlete and a good guy. Not a football player.
  23. Best throw by any Bills QB in preseason so far. EJ is making some big throws.
  24. Despite the media hype and what the Brady trolls in the press have been saying I think the League wins this one (80/20 for the League). If that's what happens any appeal by Brady would also be unsuccessful and an obvious ploy to avoid the consequences of the decision. So I don't think an appellate court would allow him to play pending the appeal hearing. JMO and of course I could be wrong.
