  1. good signing. special teams are absolutely important, and i think with ota's and a full camp he could fit in well as a reserve reciever.
  2. i would be happy adding ingram to the d-line, anytime you get a talented player that is self motivated, has great character and work ethic it's a good day.
  3. with this d-line it almost seems as if you would have to create a new defensive scheme. four 300+ pounders up front should in theory tie up all of the o-linemen and free up the 'backers to do their thing, but i don't know as if it would produce the most pressure on the qb as it seems you would need at least one d-end to be quick and athletic enough to rush in on the qb. having said that, the pressure up the middle could potentially be devestating.
  4. it's gotta be from the lack of resume. a lot of people probably think the phrase "one year wonder" is synonimus with "bust". and rather than investing in potential, they want a quicker return on their investment. believe me, i agree with your line of thinking on this kid and i really think he would look great in red, white and blue. but i also think that there are about ten players that would be nice pickups for us.
  5. so this kid is an athletic freak with size, length, speed, strength and agility. he has good instincts and is and has multiple pass rush moves in the arsenal. he holds up well against the run. he has a tremendous work ethic is liked and respected by teammates and coaches? if this is the case and through due diligence nothing horrible is found i have two words... yes please!
  6. you are absolutely right, sir! there is definately some excitement around this team right now, at least there is on this board. we of the eternally hopeful (and sometimes delusional) are definately enjoying seeing the pieces of this team come together and pontificating what kind of additions may be coming. good times indeed!
  7. what about the friday night portion of the draft? dvr cartoons, or maybe some old stooges?
  8. can we give up our whole draft to get 'em both then?
  9. it's not so much about priority as it is building a legitimate point of strength on the team. and moreso than that, it's about building a physical identity and starting in the offensive trenches. or maybe it's just about hoping beyond hope we do not take a db in the first round.
  10. i still think kelsay is a good player/leader/locker room guy, and i still have hopes for carrington. hopefully he will find his place on this team yet!
  11. i actually have a lot of faith in buddy as well as chan and his staff. i also think that what happens may not be anywhere near what the fans want to see, but it will probably make sense and will definately be in the best interest of the team. and i absolutely believe that injuries played a huge part in our downfall last year. here's hoping for a healthy season!
  12. i have no idea. i am just going out of my mind waiting for free agency and the draft. not to mention which of our own guys do we re-sign. i've just always been a fan of the front line players and from the general consensus, the de's are weak at the top this year. just kinda throwing hypothetical crap at the walls here...
  13. for all of you who are a fan of the trade down scenerio...what if the bills could find a way to weasle the 17 and 21 picks from cincy and pick up decastro and cordy glen? two potential road graders to play on the line with levitre, wood, and whoever the 5th best ol we have might be. seems like they would be able to open some really nice holes for freddy and cj, and maybe open up the play action pass quite a bit. however, we would be neglecting some other areas of need. but oh, the smashmouth 3 yards and a cloud of dust/snow!
  14. if this guy is truly a beast, grab him. whatever makes us a better team as a whole is a good thing.
  15. i have no idea who will be our second round pick, but it seems like there should be some really good talent there for the taking. and hopefully our scouts will place a body on this roster that will fit in as a contributor for years to come.
  16. i don't think there is a place on this team for hines ward. i really like the way he has played football in this league. he played with passion and was very phisical and was a willing and effective blocker, and we caould benefit from having a reciever or two cut from that cloth, but at his age, with his mileage and baggage...
  17. trading back a few spots would be wonderful, but as we have all stated before, you need a willing partner. either way, adding an athelete with elite level talent to this offensive line can do nothing but help the offense as a whole. someone on the outside to help open holes for our talented rb's and give time to intelligent and gutsy, albeit physically limited qb i feel would do wonders. and there is a certain appeal to drafting a promising youngster as apposed to picking up an established but flawed player from another team (good to great tackles are almost never availeable).
  18. don't know too much about glenn but i am intrigued by him. sounds like he is a very large, very strong man. and as i have said before, i like ot's who can knock defenders down and shove them out of the way. not sure if this describes glenn, but if it does, let's grab him and polish him up over the next couple years.
  19. as far as the interest in the cb, i bet buddy and the boys have legitimate interest in a lot of players. i just hope they have more interest in someone playing a bit closer to the line of scrimmage.
  20. i would be so excited to hear that, i probably couldn't sit still for a good, long while.
  21. this would be my best case scenerio. i don't know much about this kid, but the only negative i am hearing from anywhere is one year wonder. by what i have been reading, this kid has a good work ethic, good motor, he's a good teammate, has power, speed, agility, and a few moves in the arsenal. and if we could pick him up as well as grab another pick...then i like it.
  22. sounds like the type of player you'd want on your team. smart and tough is a great combo.
  23. i'm all for it. bring in a ton of people and have a big competition to try to get three good starters who are good at their craft and have some capeable backups waiting to pitch in when the starters need a breather, the scheme calls for different skillsets, or the inevitabl injury bug hits.
