  1. Football has always been, and probably always will be, a primarily blue collar game for both the participants as well as the fans (pansy indoor corporate boxes aside). Lets face it, you aren't going to find too many doctors, lawyers, or CEOs face down in their own vomit at the Ralph on any given Sunday. Chris brown epitomizes that and is acknowledging, in his own way, that there is room in football for someone with more than a "paper or plastic" level IQ ... just as long as he doesn't act superior to the others.

    Perfectly stated.

  2. Where are all the haters that said he couldn't play? Looked pretty good for his first start with 2 Touchdowns, he should have been sitting behind Fitz being groomed as our QB of the future.

If this isn't a joke, it should be, because it's ridiculously funny. Keyword ... ridiculous.

  3. More than likely, the Patriots will blow us out of the water.

I don't think any team is looking past us anymore, so I bet they will show up prepared. The Patriots have a much better all around team.

    That being said.

I hope we kick their asses all over the field.

Yup, I think this sums up my beliefs, as well. They're the best team in the AFC ... possibly the league. That said, the Bills are finally believing that they're just as good. That means a lot (see NY Jets). If Buffalo's defense brings its A game, and Fitz protects the ball - this game could be a nail-biter. In week 3 or 4, if the Bills were to beat the Patriots, I'd be close to passing out from surprise. If they beat them this Sunday, I won't be nearly as surprised. Go Bills!!

  4. Look at what you just wrote and what it implies.

From what I gather from this thread, a reporter "Tweeted" this story about Gailey's comments on Spiller.

Spiller has not "tweeted" anything in response.

Just trying to keep things straight. :)

I know he hasn't tweeted anything. I'm just saying I hope he doesn't.

  5. Twitter has absolutely nothing to do with Spiller's play on the field.

And anyone who followed a lick of college football will know that Spiller is full of heart, desire, and determination. But, he's a first round pick, so i guess we can't wait too long before we try to run him out of town.

You're right that Twitter has nothing to do with Spiller's play on the field. My point is that it would be nice if he took this criticism professionally and instead of bitching about it via Twitter, he should prove his point on the field.

  6. I consider it a call-out. I think it was perfectly appropriate, and diplomatically phrased. It was a not-so-subtle way of saying, "put up, or shut up; either kick it up a notch or you have no future playing for me."

It's not like he sought out the media trying to blow this out of proportion. It was a fair, and necessary, question that needed to be addressed.

Now we'll see if C.J. does the right thing ... which is to keep his mouth shut, stay the hell off of Twitter, and big his big boy underwear on.

I think he will. I sure as hell HOPE he does.

    Go Bills!

  7. Like the most interceptions in NFL history

And I believe Nolan Ryan has the most walks in MLB history. You do something for 20 years, the bad stats rack up with the good ones. No one's going to remember Favre for his interceptions ... well maybe Vikings fans will remember the one against New Orleans last year. But no one else!

  8. I know there are those who don't like Graham, but I think he's great. Pretty cool piece on underdogs/overachievers in our division ...

  9. New England has a great front office. They know when to trade players and get something for them, instead of letting them play out their contracts. And ... sorry to say it ... but they've got one of the best head coaches in the history of the NFL.

A little bit of luck (I love that guy) doesn't hurt, either. I sincerely doubt that drafting Brady in the 6th round was a purposeful stroke of genius. They found a diamond in the rough.

We did it with Andre Reed long ago.

But I think the bottom line is the front office, scouting and coaching. And we've been in the bottom tier of the league in all 3 categories for 10 years.

I like Chan a lot. I want to see how Nix handles this offseason, though. I do think we're headed in the right direction.

  10. Let's take the items on your piece of **** list one by one, shall we?

1.Criminal composits look like Jesse Jackson is racist why? Because he's black and we know Limbaugh's racist and that's what he had to mean? Weak.

    2. As to Darfur, was it because he referred to the govt composed of white people as the "white govt." or because he called Nelson Mandella (who supported communism) a communist?

    3. The NFL gang comment had to have been just because of race, couldn't have had to do with behavior, because, you know, those are black gangs and a lot of the players are black, and Limbaugh's racist so you know that's what he meant. That about right?

    4. Trashing the NAACP couldn't have anything to do with the policies and politicians they endorse or the character of many of it's leading members. Clearly just race, because this is Limbaugh after all.

    5. 12% of the population comment. Yeah, context couldn't possibly matter there, could it? Couldn't possibly be talking about voting block demographics or trying to cater to that block.

    6. Bone in the nose comment, I guess we clearly don't need any context for that one either? We can just assume blatant racism because after all, it's Limbaugh and he's racist, right? Couldn't have been a reference to someone else's comment. Or could it? Hmmm, I'm guessing you don't know.

    7. And the infamous McNabb comment, because suggesting PC media types might be hesitant to criticize a black QB for fear of being labeled racist, or quick to praise him to earn his "I'm not racist" stripes,is the height of racism?

    8. I didn't even read all of 8 b/c I saw the "Barack the Magic Negro" comment and knew the author of the piece was as big of a (*^*&%^$^#as you. That was a parody of an LA Times column. You guys are hypersensitive racial fuktards who can't get off on your liberalism alone so need to throw the racist term around.

    9. Segregated buses. It was tongue in cheek, a-hole. And context doesn't matter?

    10. Obama's economic plan is reparations? This is racist? Really?

So there you have it. After 20+ years on the air 3 hrs a day this is the best you can do. A couple of comments that sound kind of racist, with absolutely no context as to how they may have pertained to a story covered that day, or a comment someone else made that is being parodied or satirized. I know because I used to listen often and everytime one of these B.S. stories (like phony soldiers, Michael J Fox, etc.) made news, they always got it wrong and completely misrepresented or flat out lied about it. It's shameful, and I don't like you or any other dishonest douche bags who propagate this kind of race baiting bull ****.

Hmm .. ahole, douchbag, dipsh*t .. and for the cherry, you make fun of Michael J. Fox. Rush would be proud. And you are absolutely right ... the hundreds of racist references to Limbaugh are all taken out of context. He is such a victim. But nothing some painkillers won't heal with time.

    - Peace -

  11. Wow

After reading all of this thread, I have a hypothesis.......

Admit it, you voted for Obama because he is black, and you felt you needed to apologize for the sins of other white people. You never bothered to look at his qualifications.

I will admit that I'm not overly thrilled with Obama so far. But I do honestly believe that his predecessor handed him a colossal piece of crap to take over.

I would never vote/not vote for anyone based on the color of his/her skin.

I felt McCain was way too out of touch with anyone under 70 years old, and that scared me. As with many presidential elections, I felt forced to go with the "least crappy" candidate. I'd hoped Obama would surround himself with some better talent. His lack of experience didn't bother me in the least.

And what qualifies someone for president? Ivy League education - nope. Being a governor - nope. Being the son of a previous president - nope. GW had all 3 of those "qualifications" and I dare say he was the worst president in the history of our country.

And before you go calling me a bleeding heart whatever you're going to call me, let me say this.

Ronald Reagan, in my opinion, is one of the greatest leaders this world has ever seen. He's my favorite president.
