Which collapse? June (3-14), August (2-14) or September (4-10 so far)? During the August swoon I was still convinced we'd make the playoffs, not so much today. This team has all the hallmarks of a .500 team, which shouldn't be the case given the talent.

Can't wait to see what happens tonight against deGrom.

I was referring, basically, to how they’ve been playing since they were 20 games above .500.

Brutal.  Team doesn't even deserve to be in the playoffs if this keeps up.

The only positive note is McLean looks more and more like the real deal.

Insane collapse. That’s all I can say right now.

Actually … one more thing.  F*ck off to all the Yankee fans who wanted Soto to fail.

Hey all.  I thought it would be cool to have a fantasy football thread on the main board.  The FF sub-forum doesn’t seem to get a lot of traffic.  I reached out to @Simon and while not a traditional practice here at TBD, he kindly agreed to pin a thread for about a week or so.  Maybe another one around the trade deadline depending upon how this goes.

As many people are holding their drafts this weekend, this seemed like a good time.  Please feel free to post your roster for evaluation, discuss your “sleeper” players, draft strategy and anything else FF draft related.

This is from my son’s league which drafted on Monday.  Eight team re-draft league.  One point PPR.  I picked 4th.

    My team:

    QB: Jayden Daniels

    RB: Jahmyr Gibbs

    RB: De’Von Achane

    WR: CeeDee Lamb

    WR: Tyreek Hill

    Flex: Jaxon Smith-Njigba

    TE: TJ Hockenson

    D/ST: Bills

    K: Tyler Bass

Bench: Caleb Williams, Tony Pollard, Calvin Ridley, Emeka Egbuka, Kyle Pitts, Kaleb Johnson, and Jacory Croskey-Merritt.

Thoughts?  I’m trying to think of someone to drop so I can pick up another defense/ST.  I released Jacoby Meyers to add Egbuka, and Pacheco to pick up Croskey-Merritt.

I thought of you the other day when I nearly sat on one of my nuts.

    Happy Labor Day!

Cmon man- You haven’t had fun watching the last 5 seasons?  Being a fan IS more than just winning a Super Bowl.  It may be the only thing your fixated on, but as fans, there’s so much more to it.   Watching the games and experiencing the high and lows of each and every week is a blast.

Allen is 76-34 as a starter.  Joe Burrow is 38-30.  The difference in wins between the two is equal to Burrows career win total….and Josh only has 4 more losses.

The bengals haven’t won a SB yet either.  Making the Super Bowl (and losing) one season while missing the playoffs entirely 3 of 5 seasons is nothing to brag about.  Do you think the Bengals fans had wicked fun the 3 years they didn’t even make the playoffs?  Great….they made the SB…. And lost.  That’s what I call wicked fun.  Ending the season with the same exact feeling as us.  Close, but no cigar.

    @NewEra - I have LOVED them.

I just want more. We’ve had a top 3 QB and have not had a GM who can build at would him. Nor have we had a HC who can outcoach Andy Reid.

    It is sad.

Man you really want to eat a 5 superbowl loss and call that success?

The Kelly era is not the same as the Josh era.

    Not by a long shot.

The Allen era team should have at least been to one Super Bowl by now.

It’s nothing short of pathetic that they haven’t.

Exhibit A for something about blind squirrels and location of nuts…the Bills consistently create opportunities to get there, the Bungles are consistently inconsistent.

They went to the ***** Super Bowl. Two years after drafting Burrow.

That was not very responsive. Let’s make it perfectly clear: Would you like to switch places with the Bengals? Yes or no?

Would I trade a Super Bowl appearance in Allen’s second year for not getting to the Super Bowl in Allen’s first 7 seasons?

    YES.

And the Bengals LOST that Super Bowl. And Barry Switzer has a SB ring. So what? Your fixation is interesting, but there is no chance on earth I’d want to trade places with the Bengals.

Yeah, it’s wicked fun doing the same thing every year (making the post season, then doing very little).

Buckle up for another one of Beane’s Geriatric Special Defenses and Beane’s We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ WR1 Offenses.

They’ll get there 6 automatic wins against the pathetic AFCE foes. Eke out another 5-6 regular season wins.

    Secure the 2-3 seed.

Win one, then make room for someone else.

    FUN!!!!

    Eff the Super Bowl!!!

Burrow, a top flight QB, has made the playoffs in two of the last five seasons. The Bungles are in Cincinnati, no question about that.

I repeat … they went to the Super Bowl in Burrow’s second season.

And just like every other year during the Allen era … the Bills watched Super Bowl instead of playing in it.

Tough few series here.  I'd have to think they are going to win some games again eventually.  And the Reds schedule looks pretty difficult the rest of the way.  But there's a series in early September in Cincy that might have some huge bearing on a playoff birth between the two teams.

But yeah I just don't feel it this year ....  Last year there was the Grimace streak which was a lot of fun and the OMG performance.  I still laugh at Mr. Met trying to get down during it.  But yeah there were intangibles like that playing in the Mets favor I thought last year.

I am shocking myself by saying this, but … there’s a lot of baseball left.

If nothing else, they’ve proven to be streaky.

Rattle off a 14 out of 20 game winning trend and we’re right back where we belong.

We got this, baby. Too much talent to miss the playoffs.
