  1. The first instrument I fell in love with was the bass guitar.

Can’t Get Enough of Your Love was the first song I played along with.

That was close to 40 years ago and it’s still a fond memory.

    Thank you … and RIP.

After the sweep against Tampa I kind of just thought I mean all right,  it's baseball it's 162 games.  The team will have a tough couple games/losing streak at some point.

Getting swept by Atlanta now does raise some red flags.   Not enough to fully panic but some cause for concern.

Rebounding against the Phillies would still be a big statement here.  Unfortunately they play tomorrow night.  No time to lick their wounds here.

    I’m with you.

    Panicked? No.

    Concerned? You betcha.

Please do not EVER, EVER invite @Gugny or @SDS to assist you with a project. One will drill an oblong circle…the other will shoot you with a nail gun. Be a lone wolf.

    Oblong circle = art

Nail gun shooting = attempted murder

    I know where I stand!!!!

Imagine writing a post about "early playoff exits" in order to prove a point that a team that has missed the playoffs two years in a row.

I guess you're right. If you miss the playoffs more than you make the playoffs I guess you can't have very many early exits.

But to your point, since the Bengals have decided to go this route of 5th year options and tags they've made the playoffs zero times.

I don't think anybody disagrees that the Bills need to do more to address weapons around Josh. That includes the draft and money. They absolutely do But if you asked me right now to trade the other 52 players on the Bengals not named Burrow for the other 52 players not named Allen I would laugh you out the door.

I'll beat this drum over and over again, great QB's who want the payday have to do more with less skill talent around them. The $50-60M deal has to cover the deficit in spend elsewhere

    I’ll simplify it.

Let’s get to a Super Bowl before we start making fun of teams that have been to a Super Bowl.

In the last 5 years, let alone since the fu*king. 90s.

If early playoff exits are absolute failures, what do you call not making the playoffs 3 of the past 5 years?

is there a word in the known universe that can explain that abomination?  That’s surely worse than winning your division each of the past 5 years and at least making the playoffs

    The AFCE is a shitshow.

Winning that division is akin to Kramer winning a Karate match.

The Bengals have not made the playoffs since 2022. They've missed 3 of 5 years since they drafted Burrow.

Trying to conflate the overall functionality and success of the Bengals FO because of one SB appearance is silly.

They've haven't just largely underperformed expectations for the majority of Burrows career, they're getting him destroyed out there by giving him trash at the OL.

    So what’s worked better?

Addressing the WR and neglecting the line?

Or addressing the line and neglecting the WR?

Early playoff exits at this point of the Allen/McDermott era are absolute failures.

You can absolutely make fun of them, they have refused to address their Oline, and as a result it has ruined two of their prime Burrow seasons.

now their lack of respect to their players has lost them Hendrickson, and their first round pick doesn’t want to play there unless they offer even just a normal contract.

if you ask any NFL fan which team has been the best team of the past 5 years in the AFC behind the chiefs… lemme give you a hint, no one is saying the Bengals

Regular season wins are cute and exciting.

The Bills have been to two AFC Championship games and have the most playoff wins since 2020 besides Kansas City.

The Bengals, meanwhile, have only made the playoffs twice. They went far those two years, but they don't have a superbowl win either. They had a short window and that window appears to be closed, now, even with one of the best QB's in the NFL.

The Bengals aren’t going into year 8 with a top 2-3 NFL QB.

If any window appears to be closing, it’s certainly not Cincinnati’s.

Two common denominators in the Josh era:  Josh and McDermott.

    Zero Super Bowl appearances.

Making fun of the Bengals is laughable.

  9. Bengals bungled their way to a Super Bowl a few years ago.

That must have been neat for their fans.

The following year, they Bungled their way past a wonderfully prepared and enthused Bills team and went the the AFCCG.

I bet that was pretty cool for their fans too.

Seems to me the Bills bungled more than the Bengals. 🤷‍♂️

Sure doesn't read that way to me.

Looks like Dungy actually voted for Josh, but that his vote wasn't at first counted. That the correction is to correctly count Dungy's actual vote for Josh.

And Dungy is generally great. I have extreme respect for him.

    I don’t buy it.

And he’s got that Sean Salisbury soulless, look through you, stare.

That sh*t is what nightmares are made of.

cook reminds me of cowboys preston pearson. not worth 15 per year. it is all about the trenches, a competent qb, and a good defense. hate to say this...but thats the patriot way.

The Patriot way included Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.

I hate to say this … but we have nothing close to that.
