There’s still quite a few seats available in the lower bowl of the new stadium, and the family is debating getting more tickets. For us, we like to sit as close to the field as we can, but where we can still make out the action anywhere on the field.
Typically, we’ve found that anywhere closer than row 15-20, can be so close that there’s gaps in what we can see. It is nice to be closer to the players on the sideline, but I don’t see that as a benefit I care about all game.
Also, I’m curious to know people’s thoughts on aisle seats vs being in the middle of a row.
Again, no wrong answers, just curious about others perspectives.
As long as I can see you, my view is ideal. -

We had friends down the road from our first house who had a woodpecker issue. The damn thing pecked thru the siding and was living in their attic. They covered up the hole with some metal, and he pecked another hole right next to it. It was a big red headed pileated woodpecker, and he intended to stay.
We were downstairs cooking out one night and talking about the problem, and they asked “do you want to go upstairs and see Woody?” It was at that point in re-telling the story that our close friend turned to her college age daughter without missing a beat and said “for the record, the answer to the question is ALWAYS no.” Perfect timing.
We did go up and see him looking very comfortable as King of the Attic. Big ol’ bird!
A few years ago, this area was infested with gypsy moth caterpillars.
Some areas had it really bad, to the point of entire houses being covered.
I was lucky, they only keyed in on the oak tree on which the birdhouse was affixed.
My guess is that they filled up the birdhouse, which explains no birds since then.
I’m also guessing that it became home to other bugs/insects and one of those pileated woodpeckers made holes big enough to fit into.
Mission accomplished. The holes are 5-6 inches in circumference.

I have a two story birdhouse affixed to a large oak tree. Over the years, I’ve had white breasted nuthatches as tenants, although it’s been a few years.
Sometime during late winter/early spring, a woodpecker pecked each of the holes into holes double the size.
The birdhouse is now garbage, which really bums me out.
Would love to have nuthatches come back when I put a new house up. They’re pleasant to watch and have great personalities.
I also want to try to attract orioles this year.
Looking forward to summer and variety of birds that come with it.

Josh is too nice and it won’t be him.
This is Dion’s time. If you go back and watch the tape, there’s plays where Dion is already in a half stance and just hand slaps off the best pass rushers in the league. He is everything Buffalo (and southern Ontario). A legit champion.
Cook will come around. The team/organization adds every day.
I really like our prospects this year but remember it’s in Dion’s prime.
Did you fall off the back of a golf cart??-

Who is our outside WRs? Where are they? Did Keon play so good that we can count on him to be WR2? Is Palmer WR 1? Can we count on Samuels to be healthy the entire season? Who is our 5th WR?
Palmer 1
Keon 2
Shakir slot
Samuels
Buffalo saw more man to man coverage last season, because no one respects our WR. We have had FA and the draft to correct that, and Beane has done Jack *****.
its going to take another Ravens curb stomping to make Beane panic and make another Amari like trade.
It’s the emperors new clothes. We have yet to replace John Brown. This offense needs a vertical component which it is sorely lacking.
I know Bills had great offense- after we acquired Amari.
We lose Mack and Amari, and added Palmer.
Name a worse WR group.
What happens if there is a WR injury? Is WR Beanes Achilles heal?
The offense scored 65 TDs last season.
Only one team (DET) scored more.

Two Flaz stories that exemplify the kind of guy he was:
1. He knew that I was going to dinner with my girlfriend and two friends of ours. He knew the name of the restaurant and that my girlfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary.
Shortly after we were seated, our server brought us four margaritas and told us “these are on Dave.”
2. When I bought a boat, he got his hands on my home address and surprised me with a hook remover to keep on the boat.
Great guy.

Flaz was a good dude.
Never got to meet him in person, but we did communicate via phone and text outside of TBD at times.
The man was dealt a shi*ty deck and he somehow managed to keep a sense of humor throughout much of what he went through.
He suffered physically and emotionally for the last 4-5 (at least) years of his life.
I trust that he is pain free and enjoying some sort of afterlife with those who passed before him.
RIP, Flaz. You’ll be missed.

Can you really blame the poster you’re responding to?
If someone else posted what you have in this thread, it would be whatever. But you?
You have spent years calling everyone under the sun “scum”. Jerry Lewis death thread - you call him scum. OJ’s death thread - you call him scum. Ferguson - scum. JJ Watt - scum. Ty Cobb - scum. Tony Romo - scum. Von Miller - scum. Clemens - scum. Cornelius Bennet - scum.
You’ve made a habit of calling countless people “scum” over the years without hesitation, but now you suddenly want to play moral authority and tell everyone not to talk about the fact that some college player — who you probably didn’t even know existed until two weeks ago — literally caused a man’s death and ran from the scene?
Save the outrage.
That being said, feel awful for his family and the fact that he felt that this was his only way out. Extremely sad.
Clearly the outcome of his actions affected him negatively. Says something positive about his character.
Let’s be clear about one thing … it was Jerry LEE Lewis. And not only did he f*ck AND marry his adolescent cousin … he killed her.
So yeah … scum.
And everyone else you remembered (thank you, by the way) …. All pure scum.
Also .. their “mistakes” were on an entirely different level than this kid’s.
Other than that … yeah … you’re right.

So…should we take back all awards and recognition of any significant accomplishment in the sporting world (or otherwise) if the recipient later commits a crime or does something horrible, even when that bad act has nothing to do with the award or accomplishment? It seems like that’s what you’re suggesting. If the Bills went and took OJ’s name down from their ring of fame it would only draw more attention to it. His sports achievements are what they are (which is legendary).
It was a huge mistake the way MLB treated Pete Rose, and because of that treatment the story lived on for much longer get than it ever should have.
I’m not comparing gambling with murder but there are some parallels.
Comparing gambling on a game to ending two people’s lives is kind of silly.
I am not comparing the OJ Simpson topic to any other athlete in any other sport.
I am also not suggesting that the NFL/HOF remove him from the Hall or erase him from any record books.
This is specific to the Buffalo Bill and their stadium.
Ralph Wilson failed.
The Pegulas have failed.
That’s all I’m saying.
Inwill never feel differently about it.

There's also not 1 single profession out there that doesn't have the same type of scum who do the same exact thing that these guys do. Not 1. These guys are just in the public eye, that's the only difference
Whataboutism. Cute.

Sounds like you need a new hobby!
I have never hid from the hypocrisy of it.
It’s an entertainment league. It entertains me.
Hollywood is also full of scum and most of us still watch movies/TV.
Looking past horrible behavior is just what our society has taught us … especially if it entertains us.

I understand all of that and his name is not going to be on the new stadium
The fact that it is still there is what is bothersome.
It’s inexcusable.

They didn't even give a public statement when he died
OJ Simpson is dead to the Buffalo Bills
So when it's not on the new stadium there's not scumbags now?
OJ Simpson was a real person who was the best running back for the Buffalo Bills.. they haven't said his name in 15 years they're not celebrating it
Football is a game.
He decapitated the mother of his children and killed an innocent bystander.
His running back skills did nothing to improve the world.

Having his name up there is different than celebrating said person
And I've heard it will not be on the new Ring of Honor
His name has not been said by the Buffalo Bills in a long long time. . They did distance themselves
Taking down his name would just bring relevance to it and they haven't said his name in many many years
Having his name up there = celebrating him.
His name should have been taken down in the 90s.
The Bills have not distanced themselves because they CHOOSE to keep his name on that wall.
It’s gross.

From risk analysis yes of course.
for moral compass, probably less so.
Probably? It’s a league full of thugs, rapists, sexual deviants and woman abusers.
Our favorite team’s home stadium STILL celebrates a woman abuser/murderer.
And that is even after an ownership change … AND a change to a female owner.
It’s a scummy league from top to bottom.
