How about a poll asking if we should stop these ridiculous polls?
I vote yes.

In five more days, posts like this will no longer be written. Until Week 14 of 2010.

If John Bonham rises from the dead, Led Zeppelin will have a new album out by next Tuesday, and begin a world tour.
-
It would involve having to cut about 50% of the Bills current defence and then peace together over the next year or 2 to teach and rebuild a new defensive system.
FIX THE DAMN OFFENCE AND THE DEFENCE WILL LOOK MUCH BETTER!!!!!!! THE DEFENCE IS NOT THE PROBLEM RIGHT NOW
You can win without a dominating defence, but you can't win if you don't put the ball in the endzone! The Bills have stayed in almost every single game this season until the last 10 minutes. Had the offence scored a few more times in those games, the Bills are in the playoff hunt right now.
The quickest way back to the playoffs is to fix the offence.
Giving up 300+ yards rushing/game isn't going to win many games. And ask the Ravens if you can win without putting the ball in the end zone. I think Brian Billick would beg to differ. I agree that the offense is horrible (who could disagree?), but the defense hasn't exactly been stingy.

Posts like this put everything into perspective. As much as we vent, bicker and try to solve all of the problems on One Bills Drive ... football is just a game. I wish everyone ... even Losman apologists (ha ha) ... a safe, happy and healthy holiday season.
-
He had one good run against one of the worst teams in football. Big deal. Fred Jackson should still get more carries, but I agree that the team needs 2 good RBs.

I don't know what it's like out in Orchard Park, but I'm up north of Albany and with the wind it feels like -10 outside. My dog was trying to figure out how to stand on one foot to take a leak this morning. It's brutally cold, and I can't believe it's any nicer out west. We lost to Cleveland in the snow because we were terrible; not because we didn't practice in the snow/cold. I'm all for them practicing outside during the winter months, but in weather like this? Ridiculous.

Seems solid as an o-line coach, not too sure about a head coach; the Steelers obviously passed on him pretty quickly.
Affirmative action, anyone??
-
Bottom line is that Dungy is better than any coach we've had since Marv, and Vick is better than any QB we've had since Kelly. How can this not be better for the Bills than previous hires? I'm all for it.

The more I read about him, the more intrigued I become. Lots of people have said lots of good things about him. I wonder where he'd be if he'd entered the draft after his junior season. Moot point now, though.
-
He's a cold blooded killer. Keep him away from this board!
-
Or he was allowed to come back too quickly from a serious injury in order to try to keep his team near the top of the standings and to protect his draft status. He should have say out longer after the first injury.
I remember Jim Kelly missing most of his senior season with a shoulder injury. Would you call him a cream puff?
No. I wouldn't call Jim Kelly a cream puff in a million years. And you're probably right .. Bradford could have very well been selfishly rushed back onto the field. I'll take back the cream puff comment.
-
I've seen nothing of any other injuries besides the shoulder that he hurt this year. so I would like to see proof that he is a "cream puff"
He was out 2 or 3 weeks with that bad shoulder ... came back ... got hit ONCE (not by NFL pass rushers), and was out the rest of the season. Cream puff.
-
+1
Bradford is the best pro QB prospect. And due to his injury he might be available when the Bills pick. If he had a great senior season he would be gone at number 1.
Spoke with a scout i know. I asked him who is the best qb? Without hesitation he said Bradford. This scout was involved in the Peyton and Matt Ryan picks. Just saying.
He's even less durable than Trent Edwards. And he's not even in the NFL yet. I think he's too much of a cream puff to draft. If he was tougher, I'd think he was the best QB in the draft. He's just a yearly IR waiting to happen.

Our organization has shown total disregard for its players by not granting them new contracts when they succeed or just kicking them to the wayside when they fail. By all means though, judge Trent Edwards, JP Losman, Ryan Fitzpatrick and every QB right on down the line for a decade of losing. It seems to be a popular belief around here and one I used to share, but not any more,
Lack of proper management is the problem with this Buffalo Bills Football team...
Yes ... lack of proper management is what has brought crappy QBs in one after another. But you can't dispute that they've all sucked. Especially Losman and Edwards. Fitz is what he is ... a backup, and a good backup. Crappy starter. As far as kicking players to the wayside when they fail ... what other course of action would you suggest? You think the Seahawks were wrong for dumping Alexander? Or the Colts for dumping James? Every team dumps their dead weight.
-
It's gotta be the O-Line's fault. Or the O-Coordinator. NEVER BLAME THE QB!!!
-
Good size, Great Arm, decent Mobility, poorly coached at the NFL level =Losman
Oh, Christ, here we go again. Losman could have had Vince Lombardi, Bill Walsh and Joe Gibbs coaching him, with Joe Montana as a personal tutor, AND HE STILL WOULD HAVE SUCKED.
-
Thurman won't touch the QB issues, probably in part to Jim Kelly's latest outbursts. I did tell him I still thought TE was a good QB and the Bills could be making a mistake if he gets run out of Buffalo.
His reply was the new regime would decide.(not word for word)
Thurman also refused to put all the blame on the O-line, implied if Jim and himself was playing the current O-line would be playing better or wouldn't hear the end of it until they did. (not word for word)
Did Thurman say you're nuts for thinking JP Losman is a good quarterback?
-
Our Organization proved otherwise right, Just like Trent F$@King Edwards right, or Ryan Fitzpatrick and the list goes on and on.
If this is what you base your opinions off of, well good for you Eienstein.
What does Thurman Thomas have to say about it?
-
Amazing #'s, good size @ 6'3" 240lbs, big arm, and plays in the weather @ CMU....Projected to be a rd. 3 pick, but I say when it comes to round two and no top 50-75 prospect in a position of need (OL, DL, LB) is there, we need to take this kid to make sure we don't miss out on what could be a 10yr QB...just sayn'
If he's the best available player when our turn comes, sure, why not? He's definitely intriguing.
-
After the coaches we've had in the last decade, something about having a head coach named Grim(m) is unsettling to me.
-
Save your energy for the cancer fight you will need it. Besides all the negative energy the Bills are giving off these days won't help you.
By far, the most classless, disgusting and idiotic post I've ever seen on this board. I hope your just some kid who doesn't know any better.
-
Allow me to take an excerpt from the article and post it ...
Losman gets sacked from behind, fumbles, and Ellis scoops up the ball and runs it in for the winning TD.
Who got sacked?
Who didn't throw the ball away?
Who fumbled?
Coach Jauron? The O-Line? The Offensive Coordinator? Russ Brandon?
No .... your beloved J.P. did.
-
I'll bet on the other hand Parcells or the belicheat could take, Losman, Edwards, Fitzpatrick,Collins, Bledsoe, Flutie and even Rob friggin Johnson and still get their perspective team to the playoffs 90% of the time.
Funny how good coaching overrides bad athletes in this league and yet its beyond comprehension for most folks to think that bad coaching and poor management can override good athletes...
You, my friend, are delusional. And obviously a QB in a former life.

I agree that J.P. is best suited as a 3rd string QB, and does not have what it takes to lead a team anywhere but south of .500. But I don't think he's pea brained, bad attitude or that he doesn't get along with teammates, or a jerk.
He just doesn't have pocket presence. That doesn't make him stupid. And your assessment is more appropriate for Rob Johnson, not JP Losman. JP studied, he watched film, he practiced, and I never remember reading anything about him being any sort of locker room cancer. This is a guy who lost his job to an equally *****y QB, and handled it with professionalism.
He's not a good NFL QB. But it's not due to lack of effort or desire. And he did a lot more for the city and the fans than most of the other players past and present.
