Bottom line is they scored 13 points in regulation .. a joint effort shared between two terrible quarterbacks. Edwards stinks. Fitz stinks. Six of one, half dozen of the other.

i guess you didnt watch the guy who replaced trent when he went down. if you want to watch that guy play the rest of the year then you are totally clueless.
as mark kelso just said there is no QB controversy and fitz wont make one think of joe namath but he threw one good pass that was important the slant to evans for a TD which was all evans anyway.
"get him a clipboard "if you think that then you need to attend the classes the bills offer for wives of bills football fans to teach them about football.
if edwards plays that game yesterday we beat the jets by 2 TD's
fans like you are a joke we loose our QB who was playing well(5 for 5) and you make stupid jokes great freaking fan looser.
Good morning, Mrs. Edwards. How is your son feeling today?

You see that stat before the game about Weis at ND? Something like 1-15 against teams that ended up with winning records; and 1-9 against teams ending up in the Top 25? Weis' Irish only beat unranked, below .500 teams. But Everson Griffin did look really good. The only time he didn't put pressure on Clausen was when he was being held. At this point, the Bills might be looking at a top 5 pick, though. They might need a QB. Just a hunch.

Wilson will need to get a big name to replace Jauron to sell season tickets next year as most fans are suffering from buyers remorse this season.
This quote says it all. Ralph Wilson only makes changes when he fears the tickets won't be sold. His changes have never once been about bringing a championship to Orchard Park. His changes have only been about lining his pockets. Period.
-
This has to be precisely what Ralph is thinking.
I think Ralph is thinking the same thing George Steinbrenner is thinking ... "look at all the pretty leaves ... what time is the new episode of Bonanza on tonight? ..."

For everyone asking "why trade Marshawn Lynch?"
Answer: The next suspension will be longer than 4 games. The one after that will be for a year.

Trent is a good QB. You put him on the Eagles or the Vikes and he does well. Here on the Bills, with the leagues worst O-line, not so much....
You, my friend, are out of your mind.

While I definitely don't contribute all of his down year to his age, it still doesn't help. He also seems to have a really bad case of the 'dropsies' this year. I know he's always had a problem hanging onto the ball, but his catch:drop ratio really stinks. Maybe it's just because he's a Bill now and I see him play more often. Regardless he's lost a step, can't hold onto the ball, and still brings the TO baggage that he's always brought. MAYBE we could get a fourth for him, I just don't think of any teams that would go out on the limb for him.
It doesn't matter if we even get a 5th and/or 6th for him. If they don't trade him, they get nothing. Did they learn anything from the the Losman debacle?? Let T.O. go and get something for him. Anything! But don't let him go for nothing. That's just plain stupid.

Like so many others, I tend to be optimistic when thinking about the possibilities of Buffalo beating any team. I think the biggest reason they have no chance is that NY is coming off an embarrassing loss to MIA. And since they have a real coach who fires his team up, and they actually have talent on both sides of the ball ... and Buffalo has neither ... unless the entire Jets team comes down with H1N1, the Bills don't have a chance in H .. E .. double hockey sticks.

I remember that Holmgren had promised his wife he would retire after a certain number of years with the Seahawks and was dead set on sticking to that promise- so I don't see this happening.
Oh, Definitely. I keep every promise I make to my wife.

Body double for "Weekend at Bernie's 3." Or they could just call it "Weekend at Dick's"

What is everyone's take on Lee Evans constantly backing Dick Jauron in the media?
-
I say trade Lynch right now. Get something for him before the next felony is committed.

This.
After it's obvious that a player truly sucks, it stops being about the player and more about the assclowns who can't accept reality... look at all the JP threads the past couple days, the biggest tools on this board are still defending him. Just like the Bledsoe apologists and the RJ apologists before JP (a lot of the same posters ), some things never change. Trent is well on his way to joining the Truly Suck club, and if/once he is there, Trent apologists who can't let it go won't be any different.
First of all ... assclowns - hilarious.
Secondly, you said it perfectly. If everyone posting here is a Bills fan, then everyone should agree that every QB since Kelly has sucked. Many of them tried their damndest. But all of them sucked just the same. ALL of them.
-
You forgot Billy Joe
Sorry. I forgot to look at the playbook.
-
He ain't do great but he is a better QB than Losman. Even if TE flames out, he will have a 10 year career as a good backup QB. He has better #s across the board and won a lot more games than JP. There really is no comparison.
I bet Lee Evans would beg to differ!
Edwards can probably end up with more completions than Favre for his career as long as he keeps checking down every play. I'm not saying JP was anything more than he really was. I guess I'm just saying the guy had heart, and he did visibly try very hard. I know that that and a dollar will still only get you a McDouble .. but comparing Edwards vs. Losman is closer than I think you're saying. Bottom line .. they both suck, but it's not for a lack of effort.
And that list is pretty pathetic, isn't it!!??

How do you know that?
After Kelly ...
Todd Collins
Van Pelt
Flutie
Rob Johnson
Bledsoe
Holcomb
Losman
Edwards
How do you not know that?

It's post like this that turn me into a "Losman hater." They contain no facts and are just filled with nonsense.
I liked the guy and wanted him to succeed but talk about revisionist history. He had about 5 good games and was mainly below average for the rest of his career. He is in the place he should be.
I was saying exactly what you said about his NFL career. The coming back to Buffalo remark was tongue in cheek. And are you arguing that Trent Edwards is any better?
-
Losman worked harder and tried harder than any QB we've had since Kelly left. The one thing that plagued him was he couldn't make a decision quickly enough. From what I read while he was in town, he did a lot for the city and the fans. And he worked his butt off trying to be the franchise guy. We wouldn't be any worse than (1-3) right now with him at the helm, I'll tell you that much. I know he's probably not cut out for the NFL, but I wish him the best. Ha .. maybe Fassell and J.P. can come save the Bills together!!! Better than Dick and Trent .. and that's a fact.

Lots of HOF NFL coaches were once high school coaches. Not that AVP will be a great head coach some day, but you never know - just sayin'.
I agree with you, but rarely do they move up the ranks that quickly and end up successful. I don't fault AVP. He, like many of the players, is a victim of the system in Buffalo. I like AVP, and would be thrilled if he ever became a top notch coordinator or coach. I guess my point is that he hasn't proven he's capable or worthy of calling plays in the NFL - which is part of the reason Buffalo consistently plays at a less-than-NFL level. To get back on topic .. Lee Evans, regardless of what plays are called, should be good enough to get some separation with one-on-one coverage. That's not on anyone but him. I don't think he's overrated. But I do think he's guilty of taking a back seat. And I think Mr. Owens has something to do with that.
-
Evans cannot get open. (let him explain that.) Owens drops balls or gives up on them. But the main culprit is Evans, who hasn't lost a step to age; he just doesn't know how to get open. Alex needs to work on this.
Alex Van Pelt is not an offensive coordinator. He was coaching high school a few years ago, wasn't he?

The Cowboys traded two firsts for a worse player last year (Roy Williams). The Jets just traded two guys and two picks for a malcontent. The Raiders traded a first for Seymour. Jobs are on the line in Chargerland, and they need to win that division this year. They aren't going to do it with the defensive line they have now.
Three out of the four teams you mention will most likely be playing in the post-season. The same three teams also have quarterbacks. Getting draft picks is useless when we never pick the right players, anyway. Get some free agents in there, or trade for some veterans. Starting at QB.
-
To think for one second that an 80-year-old guy and a 90-year-old guy can make ANY decisions that would make a team in today's NFL better is absolutely insane. It's this old-school, antiquated style of thinking that's gotten the Bills into this mess. Getting a vote of confidence from Marv Levy in 2009 doesn't mean anything good.
-
For who? Until that can be answered, then he shouldn't go anywhere.
Well, maybe we can get more for him than we got for JP Losman. And what good is he doing the team right now by being there? He's had ample time to prove he can be successful, and he's proven just the opposite. So what's the right answer ... to let him ride out his contract and have us suck the whole time? Yeah, that's worked well before.
Do you realize

I can totally see where cbiscuit is coming from. Not only would we have won that game, but I think it would have done a lot for the psyche of the entire team. Losing to Cleveland might not have happened with the confidence of knowing you knocked off NE.
