I find this statement a bit odd. Fitz's long balls were absolutely terrible. The 2 attempt's in the Giants game spring to mind. IMO I think Vick could actually make those throws.
My recollection of Vick's entire career is that he has never had the accuracy to throw a good deep ball and he was too stupid to read defenses - hence always being hurt, because all he knows how to do is improvise.

You have it right brother. When you get in on Saturday, head to Duffs for dinner and then go to Anchor for some beers. Or switch up the order. There's nothing really worthwhile at Anchor Bar. It's all about going there. If you can get there for lunch your probably better off because the place will most likely be a mad house on a Saturday night the night before opening kickoff. Duffs will be busy but not nearly as bad. IMO.
Bar Bill is good. But IMO, your not missing much.
And I wouldn't waste your time with a Garbage Plate unless your hammered. You'll most likely think it looks like puke and tastes even worse.
Don't forget to stop by all the tailgates at Hammers. I'll be there grilling it up.

-I was just reading an article about how poor Mike Wallace looks in Miami and he could be a bust FA signing. The fins also parted ways with Reggie Bush and Jake Long. and have start a 2nd year QB. Their D is not great and I know it was a preseason game but the game I watched them play against the Cowboys in Canton was brutal. I like Hartline, but not sure how many playmakers they have. Lamar Miller hasn't looked great either as of yet, although I know he has OK potential. He's no Spiller.

-Pats - Brady's knee might be OK today, but I have a feeling he could get hurt this year. Don't tell me teams won't go after that knee. No deep threat WR, no awesome TEs til Gronk returns, and a very questionable defense. I still think they likely win the division because they cheat, er, because they always do, but they typically struggle against NFC teams as well...
all I'm saying is there's a chance.

I don't think he's outperformed them, but I do think he has done more than Kolb has. I understand that is because Kolb was injured and had a death in the family, but I do think he has done more.
I guess the question is this ... do you honestly believe that Kevin Kolb wouldn't be nearly perfect against a 3rd string defense? Do you think that if Kevin Kolb played a quarter against starters; then Tuel played a quarter against the same starters - that Tuel's performance would be better?
I'm asking those questions, in those contexts, out of sincere curiosity.

So in other words, Tuel isn't allowed to be even considered for a starting position, no matter how well he plays, because Kolb is an NFL Veteran and EJ is a 1st round pick.
I suppose that is how the NFL works so can't really argue.

There is no way in hell that someone that has the mental capacity to actually use a computer and navigate his way through the Internet can't understand why the thought of Tuel being equal or better than either Kolb or Manuel is ridiculous. I didn't want to respond to this but really!!?? Tuel has outperformed both Manuel and Kolb to this point? What is that based off of? He played a good half of preseason football vs scrubs.. Can you provide me 1 article stating that Tuel is outperfoming EJ up to this point? Tuel had ZERO expectations coming in so whatever he provides is really surprising since you would believe a UDFA to be a bit behind. I think that is what all this hype is about more than anything.
You didn't really fall for that crap, did you? Trolling seems to be the big thing around here. Trolling, arguing, saying how "the last forum I was at was way better," yet not going back to said last forum. Getting old very quickly.

In my experience, RAV-4 and CRV owners are the absolute worst.
Any car with a Vermont license plate, in my experience. They usually drive Subarus. People knock NJ drivers all the time. They are fast and they are aggressive. But Vermont drivers have tunnel vision. They'll ride the middle or left lane, going 10 MPH below the speed limit ... people passing them on both sides (dangerous) and won't even think about moving over where they belong.

gug...Wife, daughter & I went to Anchor bar last year. It was my first time in 20+ years, their first time ever. IMO you have to go just to say you did...go. I thought that the wings were good and the beef on weck very good. This time we'll do Duff's. A couple months ago we were in the area and hit Schwabel's. There are just some things ya gotta do.
Thanks, BB. That's exactly where I'm coming from. My buddy and I are thinking of hitting Nick T.'s in Rochester to get a garbage plate on the way to O.P. While in O.P., Duff's is on our list for wings .... but then Big Cat threw out Bar Bill. We'll likely do Duff's, just because of the reputation.
Anchor Bar is a likely destination for the same reason ... as you said ... just to say we did.
Maybe on Saturday, we'll hit Anchor Bar for a few beers after we check in, then Duff's for dinner.
Garbage Plate, Anchor Bar, Duff's wings, Hammer's Lot, meeting Beerball and Mead, sitting on JBoyst's lap ... AND a Bills/Pats home opener ... that's a great fuggin' weekend.

Kolb has been exposed to a lot more than the other two, and likely facing higher expectations in the reviews. the coaches have openly said they are throwing a lot more at kolb. if kolb had no expectations and ran with the 3s against a simplified defense id bet hed be getting glowing reviews too. our wrs are deep, our corners are not.
your UDFA does anything and its a nice throw in for a camp report. Your vet facing the first team and full blitz packages has any struggle and its the story.... not that he has wildly struggled or looked awful from what i have read. hes simply played like kevin kolb it seems - a guy thats not a top 15 qb but still a good player to have around.
i think perspective is important here.

On a serious note - loved the speech. Bums me out a little that he stole some of it from Jobs and didn't cite his resource. Makes me wonder if he's a better actor than I thought.
