And so it begins again. History repeating itself.

My son's school uses pink for Breast Cancer Awareness and also uses pink for their anti-bullying campaign.
As a result, one of his favorite colors is pink ... just for the meanings alone.
The other day he expressed concern that if he wore one of those rubber wrist band things that said "PEACE," that people would judge him because it's pink.
I told him if anyone judges you simply because of a color, then that person is a) insecure and b) doesn't deserve your time.
As far as the NFL goes, the campaign makes money. The money goes toward saving people's lives. I'm not sure how anyone could have a problem with that.

If you are right, and if the team has little or nothing to show at the time of his departure then Russ Brandon did not do his job.
How Russ Brandon handles this situation (thus far, very well, IMO) will be more significant than where Byrd ends up.

This better go over to PPP . Obama doing what he is good at, shoving it in the tax payers face.
I thought he was good at basketball.

I've been on Weight Watchers for almost a year and a half. I'm taking my weight loss slowly, but I'm okay with that. I've lost about 40 pounds.
Low fat. High Fiber. Lots of fluids (beer counts - it's the one thing I did not give up). Plus I walk at least 3 miles/day; usually 4-5. I am in my 3rd week of "Couch to 5K." which is an app that, over an 8 week period (working out 3 days/week), trains you to run a 5K.
I've never run in my life. When I quit smoking (May 2012, also when I joined Weight Watchers), I made it a goal to get to 180 (I'm at 185 now) and run a 5K.
I wish everyone success with their personal goals!!!!

that or hummus adds a nice alternative to mayo
As far as fat content, the hummus and/or the avocado are not much better (if any) than the mayo.
I've been getting mustard (fat free) on my subs lately.
But when I'm not being health-conscious, I do a little mayo and oil on a sub.

2012 totals: Fred: 115 carries, 34 receptions (149 touches) with 5 fumbles - 3%
CJ: 207 carries, 43 receptions (250 touches) with 3 fumbles - 1%
Career totals: Fred - 1202 touches, 20 fumbles - 1.6%
CJ - 569 touches, 10 fumbles - 1.8%.

its usually soft enough to act as a spread
Great point. I've never tried that. Now, I shall.

Um... a BT?
And if you add onion, would it be a Bachman Turner Overdrive ?
cheese maybe, but not mayo, i will ask for avocado instead of mayo a lot of times
How does an avocado take the place of a condiment?
Lettuce among other veggies is kind of like drano for your GI tract
Indeed. I enjoy lettuce for the texture and the extra roughage.

Hi folks, sorry to bump up am older topic but I am new to reading OTW. Just got bored reading the same Bills chatter every morning.
While reading this thread I need to know why everyone thinks SBC would be a great Freddy. In my mind I see SBC as a goofy over the top raunchy comedian. (Da Ali G show, Bruno, Borat). And I love him for that. But does he have any serious acting roles?
Or maybe my image of Freddie mercury is off. I see him as a dynamic stage persona. When off stage was he some kind of zany nut ball? (And yes I know he was gay, bit that never made me think he was similar to a Bruno character)
Thanks for he insight.
Hi, IslandBillsFan. Cohen is an actor and I'm sure he can play the part. He looks the part. Look at Jim Carrey and how well he pulled off Andy Kaufman. I thought he did a phenomenal job. And other comedic actors have done well with dramatic roles, too. I'm sure he'd do it justice as long as it didn't turn into a mud-dragging crusade.

So, I didn't want to be that guy, but it's "trough," not "troth."
The grammar police are really losing their edge here, huh? I mean, it's been two days!
Didn't nobody miss nothing. Begin with Post #48.

Yeah, lunatic aside, he was a great record producer...
Without a doubt.

Just finished listening to "Clockwork Angels."
It's a heavier album than I thought it would be - especially being released just last year. That's a good thing. I honestly can't say there was a song I didn't like.
My favorite tune on the album was "Headlong Flight," likely because it borrowed guitar and bass riffs from "Bastille Day," which is from my favorite Rush era. Alex's wah-wah pedal brought me back to the 70s, too.
Thanks for the tip. I'm glad I listened to it and I am very pleased to hear some of the kick ass guitar, bass and percussion in such a recent recording.
I'm assuming everyone on this thread has seen it, but if you haven't, I highly recommend the "Beyond the Lighted Stage," documentary.
I've had it for a couple years and kind of half-ass watched it a few times.
This past Saturday night, however, I had a couple friends over for dinner - who just happen to be Rush fans (we went to the Hold Your Fire concert together back in 1989 at RPI Fieldhouse in Troy, NY).
I'm not sure who recommended it, but we ended up watching the entire thing together, uninterrupted. Great stuff.

The sad truth
So this just means they'd beat everyone by 3 scores, instead of 4?

Phil Spector belongs on his own page... I like ELO, but man, I despise the production work that Lynn does with other artists. It seems like, "hey, lets make a Jeff Lynn record, you can sing...."
Phil is definitely the better shot.

Gotta love some of those numbers and hate others.
For example, the interceptions and sacks are great. The total yardage, yards and yards per run not so much.
But I'll tell you one thing, with possibly our best 2 defenders missing from this defense so far I'm confident we get better when either or both come back.
I agree.
I was kind of bent about the passing yards we gave up against BAL. But if they're forcing FGs and keeping them out of the end zone, I really can't complain. We're sitting at (2-2) with a very young team (on and off the field). We can thank our defense for keeping us in the games and giving us a chance to win.
I hope McKelvin is back Thursday. Man ... when he and Gilmore are both at 100% ... this D will be fierce.

if Alonso gets 16 picks I'll eat my underpants.
I printed this then had it notarized. I also mailed a hard copy to Beerball.

Eh, agree to disagree. IMO, Freeman's biggest offense is missing a team photo. Not great but in the grand scheme of things, is that really even that bad? The Bucs are looking like a shady, petty franchise.
IMO, some team is going to get Freeman for nothing and it could be a great move. I would like the Bills to go after him but I get why they won't. But tell me he won't be an upgrade to the Jags or Vikes.
He'd be an upgrade on a lot of teams, I agree. Jags, Vikes, Dolphins, Raiders, Rams, Browns ... that's just off the top of my head. I hope he stays in the NFC.

The link below is an article in the local paper about their hike.
Lew, I haven't forgotten about you (regarding our offline conversation). Haven't seen my neighbors to talk to them. I'll be in touch!

Couldn't watch the video, but Traffic is - in my mind - one of the most underrated bands, ever. I am ashamed that I failed to mention them in Wawrow's thread.
