  1. I hope the front office is talking about how to improve decision making on when to challenge and not challenge calls this week. We were not good at that last year. I assume someone is in a booth watching video and radioing to McD on whether to throw the challenge flag or not. But we made a big error that fortunately didn't affect the outcome of the game by not challenging where the ball was spotted on that Josh run and slide. An area the team can very much improve on that doesn't involve any of our players getting better.
  2. PFF isn't perfect but I think they got this one right. Best players were Josh and Ed Oliver and I thought the OL held up well. Worst players for me were Rapp, Bernard, and Milano.
  3. Milano and Bernard were both horrible last night. Milano had one nice stop I recall but seemed out of place too much. Bernard seems almost like the exact opposite of Tremaine Edmunds for me. Edmunds is probably the single lowest IQ player I have ever seen but a physical monster. Bernard I think does a decent job with a microphone in his helmet and at reading plays, but he is physically inferior and gets manhandled by opponents.
  4. PFF seems to have it about right on best/worst players from yesterday here. Our linebackers were a worse position group than our safeties for my eye test yesterday.
  5. I agree Rapp was bad and Bishop also bad but maybe a step above Rapp yesterday. The linebackers were at least as big a problem as a position group for me last night though. Brutal linebacking save for one or two nice stops by Milano.
  6. I took nothing but heat on here for saying Terrel Bernard is a below average linebacker and shouldn't have gotten that extension but I stand by my words.
  7. I've been to a lot of Bills away games and the most openly hostile fans I've come across are those in Baltimore.
  8. Every business - small and large - has tried to make as much money as possible since the beginning of time. This is not new and is human nature. Prices of everything go up as the government prints more money diluting the money already in existence. I'm also not surprised a business will crack down on illegal piracy of its product from time to time. Whether we want to stream games illegally or not is a personal decision for everyone and fortunately there are still plenty of sites other than Streameast out there.
  9. The UK is no better or more free than China or Russia at this point
  10. A bit surprised Bass is still on the team. I understand we couldn't find a new kicker 12 months ago for cap and contract structure reasons. But he's a below average kicker who I'd feel bad about trusting in pressure situations, and the financial cost of replacing him wasn't prohibitive this offseason. Must have been no one we liked in the draft or no perceived better free agent options.
  11. While this year's Hard Knocks is incredibly boring I agree with the posters saying boring is good for the Bills. No team wanted to be on the old, entertaining version of Hard Knocks with roster drama and cuts and all for the negative effect putting all that in public would have on the team. Bad for viewers is good for the Bills so I'll take it.
  12. I miss when they used to do stuff introducing a bunch of bubble players where some get cut and some don't and all the suspense around that. I said to my wife I'm surprised that with how much they've followed Joe Andreessen and mentioned he's a bubble player they don't mention how Baylon Spector's injury significantly impacts Buffalo Joe's chances of making the team.
  13. Weak season of Hard Knocks so far. It's just kind of slow and not that entertaining.
  14. Patriots are by far my least favorite team for the 17 years we never made the playoffs and they won the division seemingly every year. We didn't beat them for like nine years. Bills and Patriots have never really been good at the same time though, I'm surprised Patriots isn't more people's snap answer. Of course the whole AFC East are rivals but always Patriots most hated for me.
  15. First episode focused a little too much on Josh for me. Obviously I love the guy and understand why Hard Knocks would focus on him but was hoping to see more of players who don't get tons of camera time. Also I accuse Terry of excessive meddling in the Sabres and multiple times I have gotten the "well, we only get edited video clips, so we don't REALLY know how much he meddles." Which is fair, but my counterargument would be that if you’re a huge Bills and Sabres fan and watch most videos both organizations' media teams have put out over the last 10 years and your synthesis of hundreds of hours of clips is that it seems like he meddles too much, he probably meddles too much.
  16. I feel like Cook and Beane are both making the rational moves in their current situation and Cook will play out this season and then we'll see
  17. I just don't see a path for Elam becoming even an average NFL starter. Other than athleticism he doesn't do anything well.
  18. 2018 when the Rams rolled Todd Gurley who got injured, Malcolm Brown who got injured, John Kelly who got injured, and signed CJ Anderson off his sofa who came in and played awesome convinced me the value of running backs maybe isn't so high above replacement. I feel like the list of RBs who've done well after big contracts is basically Saquon and Adrian Peterson maybe and that's it. Though I'm sure I'm forgetting some. Cook is a good player, but I just don't think at the RB position one player has enough added value over their backup to be worth a lot of the team's salary cap.
  19. I believe the refs helping the Chiefs win games is certainly more than could be expected by statistical randomness or luck
  20. This guy is awful. Everyone on the internet is dumping on him, his brutal cartoon, and TBN this morning. Deservedly so.
  21. From 2021? Only comes out after he gets drafted in the first round? Obviously will wait for all the information to come out but this seems like a money grab on first impression.
  22. Sounds distinctly like loser whining
  23. Yeah, OP is not correct. I live in Utah and watched Cole at U of U and he is an extremely willing, aggressive, and downhill tackler. Not an ounce of hesitation in the guy.
  24. Around the Horn was good 15 years ago. Not a fan of the selection of talking heads they had on more recently.
