  1. I think the old axiom applies here, "If you have two starting QBs, you have none." None of these guys are clear cut prospects like Luck. There may be a good QB or two in there, but it's a big risk betting on any one of these guys in the top ten.
  2. The positive response is that the Bills were in a tough spot. Fitz wouldn't restructure (he wanted his release, he knew he'd have to light it up to start). So they did what they had to do which put them in a position of almost having to draft a QB (which is not how you want to pick a QB). They made a signing to get them out of a bad spot. You can say it's spinning their wheels. I don't like Kolb. I think his high end is average. The reason for the signing is to have a guy that can man the wheel while you go find the captain instead of grabbing the first guy you see in the port to captain the ship.
  3. Of course, 3 rookie QBs splitting time is definitely a good way to evaluate them.
  4. If there was hope of them drafting him, it wasn't at #8
  5. I'm not sure how it is not apparent that this move is to prevent them from having to take a QB in the 1st round to people. They may like Geno, but if he's not there, then what? Reach for a QB you don't believe in? If the Qb they want isn't there then they can look to next season and take better talent at number 8. This move was made to give them options with a side of "well, maybe we'll strike oil".
  6. I said it in the other thread and I'll repeat it here. It seems like a move to not force them into a corner. As it stood, everybody and their mother knew the Bills were taking a QB. Maybe the Raiders wanted to trade back, but it seemed certain the Bills were taking a QB. Now it's not so certain. Maybe the Raiders trade back and Bills take a QB. Maybe they don't like the 1st round on any QB, but the risk of waiting until the 2nd with only tjax on the roster was too much. I see it as a move opening them up to options. Which mitigates my...distaste..for Kolb.
  7. I'm not big on Kolb, but saying he 'failed' at Philadelphia is a bit much.
  8. I'm not excited by the move, but it gives them the option of not drafting a rookie. Not saying they won't or shouldn't, but it gives other teams something to think about and doesn't force the Bills into making a poor pick out of need.
  9. I'm not sure how golf = bills?
  10. What did you read? I said a later round QB.
  11. When you stop giving them your money.
  12. If you want to win at all costs. You take a later round QB and tank the season. You cut out the rot and rebuild. You can't build over bad foundation.
  13. You do understand his contract was basically a two year deal?
  14. but...but they have to sign SOMEONE! !!!! ! ! WALRUS!
  15. I can say that it is a logo that has a dolphin.
  16. The problem with a lot of people on this board is they don't understand the difference between criticism and whining.
  17. Wait, so you're saying the PR department should tell the Football guys what to do? I'm pretty sure there is a rant every 8.5 seconds on this board about how that already happens and why the BIlls have been so poor over the years.
  18. His point is likely that is that if you poke the bear, you deserve what you get.
  19. Don't bring your reality in here. The only way TJ Graham would ever be an acceptable pick is if the Bills didn't pick him!
  20. There's a lot of things you can criticize Nix for, but the problem is a lot of it on this board reminds me of this:
  21. Chad Kelly...that is why I quoted "I dread when Kelly's jerk nephew is eligible for the league in a few years."
  22. Backups tend not to get drafted.
  23. pundits or this board? Oh, wait, it already started on this board.
