  1. The potential cost of missing players and a damaged season would dwarf that. I can't imagine that 43 million is an amount they'd balk at to reduce the risk. The 'benefit' for vaccinated players seems more likely to me, but that isn't something the NFL wants.. that's something they've giving up because the players want it. That's why I tend to see this a PR move from Tretter. I don't think he has the players on board with it.
  2. Not K/DA - POP/STARS?
  3. I'll often read/listen more to the opposing team's media than Bills stuff.
  4. I think everyone should be tested daily especially if the NFLPA is coming to them now asking for it. They should jump on it. I suspect that is more of JC Tretter knowing that the players won't go for it, but sees a PR opportunity as well as a chance to play hero to the unvaxxed which some who have spoken publicy have said the vaxxed should be tested daily as well. It also backs up that the NFL has no reason to not test players daily. If they did it an incentive, it means they were trying to give the players something the players wanted. I personally expect a prominent vaxxed player to get it and a few weeks in and miss a prime time game or two then it will be daily testing.
  5. I don't understand why the NFL itself would be against it. He probably needs to speak to the people he represents.
  6. It's one data point and a very misleading one (like plus/minus in Hockey). It should be considered and weighed with a number of other factors. For example, one thing I don't see talked about is some of those 'bad' games were when Allen was injured and wearing some sort of body brace or something. I'm guessing in a similar situation this season with Trubisky behind him that Allen may not have played in a couple of those games.
  7. He said this in 2017. A couple weeks before being replaced by Nathan Peterman I believe. Josh Allen wasn't even on the team.
  8. Not really, he said Black Qbs are judged more harshly than their white counterparts.
  9. by working out, do you mean cram a ridiculous amount of food into my face during the game?
  10. When someone asks you if you are a god, you say YES
  11. I'm going to retire to get a gig as the guy who plays the music in stadium and I'm just going to play whatever is currently the most annoying children's song that parents will lose their minds at hearing for every single thing.. Touchdown: Let it Go Field Goal: Let it Go Warmups: Let it Go Tunnel: Let it Go Win: Let it Go Tremaine Edmunds making a big play: Let it Go Kiko Alonso, Robert Foster, Duke Williams, and Zach Ertz coming out the tunnel at half time with the Bills down: Let it Go
  12. I think hollister was definitely the right choice for the Jags over Sweeney
  13. I don't think the Jaguars had the opportunity to keep Sweeney so can't really blame them for not doing it.
  14. Healthy, start of the season Ben is much better than later season Ben. He's the one thing that gives me pause. They have a lot of talent at skill positions, but that offensive line is not going to give them a lot of room to work with and is going to have to hold up.
  15. Have you told that to him in person? I find message board posts have a hard time giving a player the urgency behind being on probation.
  16. Eh, we all know he barely knows a 3-4 from a 4-3 and is just a motivational guy, right?
  17. I agree a lot of their content is really great, but just look at the Bills content compared to the other AFC East teams. They other teams don't get nearly the level of coverage the Bills do, but that's not to say it is poor. The guys they have working the Bills beat are a step above.
  18. I used to work in technical support when I was younger and we dealt with IT departments. I would always say it sucked because they didn't just want you to solve their problem that they wanted you to solve it in the way they thought it should be solved. This strikes me as a lot like that. People don't want the defense to just stop scoring, they want it done in the way they really would like to see it done. McDermott's defense makes team go down the field and take 10+ plays to score. In that time, it's very likely they make mistakes. They don't play a physically dominating, aggressive style that causes a lot of 3 and outs which doesn't seem to sit well with people. People tend to have a less favorable view of results provided in a manner they deem unsavory and a lot more accepting of failure that is..
  19. They tend to send out a 'deal' closer to your renewal date. It seems it's one of those thing where you never actually pay full price. That being said, their Bills content is excellent.
  20. Beane has more loyalty to draft picks (like the ones he just cut) over the guy he signed in free agency... is a take, for sure. Pretty much everyone on the roster was brought in by Beane so no matter what he does he's letting go of a player he is responsible for being here.
  21. You completely and totally misunderstand. The 20% is what keeps you from being great. You're so focused on "their must be someone who is labeled as a TE" that you ignore the best results. Turns out Knox, Gilliam and Sweeney were all draft picks.
  22. There's no legend of Taiwan jones. He's actually really good at his role and not a middling player who has success they didn't actually have attributed to them. You may not like his role on the team, but that's a different thing.
  23. The legend of Kiko Alonso which was replaced by the Legend of Robert Foster and then replaced by the Legend of Duke Williams has no been replaced by the Legend of Lee Smith and Jacob Hollister.
  24. We operate on this philosophy at my work of 80%. Focus on delivering something good for 80% of the users over something that 100% of users will find useful because the diminishing returns of getting that last 20% spikes rapidly. TEs are the 20%. Why a bunch of resources there when 80% of your offense runs through WRs? This idea that "if they had a better TE then they'd use them more!" is a fallacy. Stop searching for the right 'tool' to fit your perception of what you need and use what you have...
  25. I'm sure in year 8 that Kroft is about to go off after not doing that in year 1-7 If people just think of the 4th WR on the field as a split out TE then they won't have to freak out.
